I FINISHED WRITING MY FIRST FIC

I haven't published the last two chapters yet, I'm going to keep up with my weekly schedule even though I finished them, but I finished writing my DCA fanfic "Interlunary Solus"! It's not the biggest fic I've seen, 23.5 k words, 20 chapters, but it's mine, and I did it all by myself. The first solo project I've ever finished!

It covers escapades of my "Circle of Life Quartet" au, which is basically a deity au centered on Sun, Moon, (my, not SAMS) Lunar Eclipse, and (my, not SAMS) Solar Eclipse. It has a Y/N insert, death, betrayal, and backstabbing.

Fun Facts!

All of the quartet except for Lunar have at least one assistant.

Moon, the God of Death, has caused the least casualties out of the quartet

Whenever Moon moves, their joints make music box chimes. They've trained their movements to sound like a pleasant lullaby.

Each of the quartet have a weapon! With the exception of Sun, all of their weapons are an extension of their soul/vessel

Godly vessels can heal completely from anything except for damage caused by a higher deity. Damage from a higher deity can cause scarring or force-death. Gods may opt to allow their old vessels to die to make a new one if healing it will take more energy.

Godly vessels can shapeshift, but typically have a primary form that's most natural and easiest to take.

To enter a god's realm without being brought by a resident of that realm, you must go through the interdimensional plane, hosted by a surprisingly friendly demideity.

The above does not apply to reapers or Moon attempting to bring ghosts to the afterlife. They have their own path.

Sun is the oldest, but Moon is only minutes younger. Solar formed a few weeks later, and it took months for Lunar to manifest.

Sun and Moon's birthday is on New Year's Day.

ROTTMNT Avery: silly teenage raccoon-human mutant!!! He has so much trauma it's horrific.

Plague Doctor Avery: Plague Doctor silly who tests you for pestilence and then befriends you.

Chibi Avery: just a chibi version that changes forms quite often and uses the chibi version of every Avery :33

Doodle Avery: basically the doodlebob version of Avery. Speaks in Russian only.

The Grape-Colored Vine Avery: not much to this AU yet, but he basically dies and gets reincarnated into different universes and slowly finds out everything via a magical being from a grape-colored vine.

Swap Avery: SILLY RACCOON MAN PT. 4 but animatronic (Sun and Moon are human in this AU)

Like Sun's angel (?) wings and fire patterns, and Solar kind of reminds me a bit of a spider (sorry if this is wrong! >_<)

Short answer: Yes and no. Sun and Solar do have specific references for their designs. Spot on with Solar - they are very much a spider! But there's a lot more to his design than that. For Sun, the flame markings are very specifically there to introduce the feeling of "danger", but it's not supposed to be angel.

This is actually a carry over from the Interlunary Solus fanfic, in which Solar is, from Y/N's perspective, the main antagonist. All in all, Solar isn't the worst person in the quartet, they all kinda suck in their own ways, but from the perspective of that particular fic... Yeah. I think it's neat.

Solar likes to design their vessel to intimidate, and arachnophobia is an easy target. Mandibles and spider legs, on top of having eight total limbs and four eyes gives that impression.

The suit and "chain crown" (which I forgot to draw in the last ask, my bad guys) are meant to appear more like a tyrant than a deity; depicts Solar's more hands on approach to their role.

The text on their hoodie reads "It's okay if you disagree with me, I can't force you to be right." There's no real specific reasoning for this. I just thought it was funny.
