sometimes, I watch the later seasons of criminal minds, and I ask myself "what were they thinking when they wrote this" and then I ask myself "who approved this" and then I follow up with "who even likes this" and then I just accept the fact that the plotline is ridiculous and I want to go back and rewatch the first 3 seasons again 🥱

bahahahah remember how in *2015*, PRIOR to S12 even airing, I predicted all of the following canon plot points:

Emily transfers back to the BAU

Reid's mom's health starts failing and he has to take care of her

Mr Scratch returns and drugs/abducts Emily

JJ gets shot and nearly dies

Hopeful series finale ending where everyone is happy and their futures seem bright

God. This show was always so wildly predictable.

What would your ideal series finale for Criminal Minds be?

So first of all, I think it’s time. Like S12 should be it. We all love CM but they’re starting to repeat shit and their continuity is so bad they probably don’t even realize it.

S12:

JJ finally comes clean to Hotch that Will has started to be physically abusive to her and she’s worried about the boys. Will gets arrested. Emily transfers back from London to help JJ with the kids and there is a lot of pent up sexual tension.

Beth also moves back to DC after her time in New York. She and Hotch get married and she gets pregnant with Jack’s future sibling.

They chase some major unsub the entire season and Tara consults a lot. It comes out that Tara and Garcia have been dating the whole time and no one is surprised. Except Derek, but he’s happy anyway

Spencer finds happiness when he moves to Vegas to take care of his mom when her health begins to fail.

In the series finale the guy from Mr Scratch turns up because he escaped from prison. Emily doesnt know about him because that was before her time so he abducts and drugs her. She hallucinates that she tries to shoot the unsub but shoots JJ instead. Except it’s not a hallucination.

JJ nearly dies from the gunshot wound but ultimately pulls through. Emily is wracked with guilt. Angst ensues. Ultimately it forces them to admit their true feelings for each other.

Hopeful ending where everyone is happy and their futures all seem bright.

Fade to black.

aaron is the softest lover one could ever dream of having and i’ll die on that !!! he seems so 😠😠 on the outside but he would do anything for his loved ones 🥹

you're so right, he's so grumpy on the exterior but a total sweetheart on the inside :") he would go to the ends of the earth, do anything to keep the smile on his family's face. and you can catch snippets of it in the show, how fatherly he is to spencer. how gentle he speaks to beth (should have been me 😠), how he jokes with rossi, how he sometimes flirts a little with emily 👀, how kind hearted and reassuring he is to garcia and morgan. and how he still has so much respect for haley. before she died, even after she stomped all over his heart his respect never once wavered. what i would do to be in haley's position just oNCE!!!

i think that's what makes his character so lovable, you wouldn't expect him to have such a massive tender heart under all the tough exterior 💙
