At least there is that! We know that this will probably work AND that they will actually get out. 

After, you know. A completely undefinable eternity of suffering.

I still like the nice touch that they’re doing it to each other rather than to themselves. It has such nice symmetry to it this way. 

Also I know the translation is wonky, especially in these chapters, but they once described this process as turning back time. Which, like, usually creates clones - doesn’t it? 

Then again WHO KNOWS. Maybe they’ve mastered this magic in a way where it doesn’t do that anymore. Anything could have happened in their off screen lifetimes. 

Aaaand I think that means we’ve seen it all! The full context behind the opening of the manga. How they got there, why they got there, and how they get out!
