Almost lost it when I grabbed a Kraft Dinner box to make and it looked different

It’s been a wild week of emotions, and I don’t like change

The box is telling me the recipe hasn’t changed, I sure fucking hope so

Mi amor @aguyinthepubliceye and I called for about an hour and a half today!

The first little while was basically silent, I was doing work and he was looking for cameras

My mom came home so I stepped out of my room (with my earbud still in) to talk to her and my dad about supper

When I closed my door Porto said he wanted to just say “penis” in my ear while I was talking to my mom

He got a chance because my mom came in soon after to talk to me

I then told her what he was doing and took my earbud out because I couldn’t listen to what she was saying while my boyfriend repeated “penis penis penis” in my ear

When I told her what he was doing she went, “I don’t know how to respond, do I say cunt? Penis?”

Porto gave me a history lesson on Argentina which was very interesting and quite gruesome

At one point he said that the islands done south were cold and he went “like your cold. Not my cold” cuz his cold is 15C and my cold is below 0 degrees C

I can’t sleep but I just realized I only have 2 more days of school cuz I get Friday off, so yay!

As a Canadian I find it funny when my Argentinian friends say they’re freezing, because this is how I respond

There’s something truly beautiful about internet friendships

Being millions of miles away and connecting with someone over music, or a book, or a tv show, having something that connects two people so intensely that space simply cannot hold them apart

Spending hours on call with someone despite a time difference and different schedules and different lives

Living lives outside of those internet friends only to come back to them at the end of the day and tell them all the things that happened to you and maybe at some point during the day you think “I gotta tell them about this” or “this is what they’ll say when they hear about this”

Having several different places to message them, having a separate conversation on TikTok while also having a conversation on discord, or making posts about each other while on call with them and reblogging and reposting those posts with responses and giggling at them on call with them

Learning about different cultures and learning about how other countries operate, how Argentinians have supper around 8/9 pm while Canadians have supper around 5/6pm (which works perfectly for our calls btw). Learning about the other countries history and how their school systems work

My dad used to try to scare me off from having internet friends (it didn’t work, but they also usually ended badly so I scared myself off for a long time), and I know why, you don’t always know who you’re talking to and you should be careful, especially if you’re a minor. But there’s something oh so utterly beautiful about internet friends that I don’t think my dad, or a lot of parents, understand

I’ve learnt some really interesting things about different cultures (even American, and I thought we were quite similar) and languages, hell, I had no interest in learning a new language till I befriended an Argentinian. And I’m learning that new language because I wanna be able to talk to him in his first languages but also because I know how Americanized media is, and I don’t wanna force him (or any of his friends) to speak English just because English speaking people often don’t think about learning different languages because everything is so Americanized

I love the people I have met online, I love the friends I have made. It is such a beautiful thing and I am so happy I’ve met these people

@aguyinthepubliceye and I called this afternoon! A while ago I got dumped by my school friend group and asked Mischa if him and I could do something special to celebrate my graduation and of course he said yes because he’s amazing. So that’s what we did today!

We both got dressed up, I wore something very similar to my prom outfit and he got all nice and fancy

He suggested we do that thing where you make yourself in picrew and then the other person

Which was so much fun!! I love seeing those things on tiktok and wanting someone to do them with

And then, because I survived high school, and Mischa compared high school to a horror game, we played this ikea horror game on Roblox

I wasn’t all that scared of it but he seemed to be a bit more on edge while we played

It took me a long time to understand how I was supposed to add food to my inventory and then eat it, but he was patient because of course he was

And then his computer decided to stop working

So the call stopped for a couple minutes as he figured that out

When he did we moved onto sushi restaurant conveyer game where you literally just sit down and eat sushi, which is funny because neither of us like sushi

We were going around sitting down and eating other peoples food, which was fun

And it got funny when @rubeslovesthesmiths messaged in the gc that we have that he thinks we’re cool and I said to Mischa, “if only he knew what we were playing”

My mom came in soon after that to tell me supper was ready and, since she knew what we were doing and that we were dressing up, told me she wanted to see Mischas outfit

Which was a nice shirt and at this point the skirt had been replaced with some pyjama pants

(Also on the way back from the movie my family went to see this afternoon my mom asked, “when’s your date with Mischa?” Which I never really considered but I guess it was a date)
