So happy to have the opportunity to work as a cleanup animator on the The Art of Murder pilot by @chocchipanim! Had to do a piece featuring the characters to celebrate the pilot launch & 1 Million views milestone! It's a fun pop culture parody, murder mystery musical series that features characters that comes to life every night, like Toy Story but drawings!! This piece I made will also be a part of The Art Of Murder exhibition which will be held at Kinokuniya Sydney, Australia in January 2025. Soooooo, IM SCRAPING IT AND STARTING FROM SCRATCH WOOOO, not the update I would have expected to post but here we are, there’s too many errors I’ve made cleaning it up that would take more time to go back and fix rather than just starting from scratch.

Yes this means it’s gonna be a substantially longer wait but I hope that it’s worth it, I want to get as close to official as I can (with my admittedly very limited experience) so the main changes are going to be, fixing design mistakes, fixing colouring mistakes, getting the line art closer to W2H2 style.

I want this to be the best it can possibly be, so how I’m going to do this is cleaning up and colouring key frames and then pairing that with the audio, I’ll post that to hold people over because that shouldn’t take too long (watch me fail to get it done by end of December) , then I’ll do all the fun inbetweens.

Also just wanna say thank you for all the notes, most attention I’ve gotten from a post on any platform, it’s amazing, you guys are great.

Carry a Trash Bag With You

Carry a bag to pick up rubbish that you see on the ground when going about your day and just empty the bag in the next bin you see, simple. I know it doesn't seem like it does much but in the long run it really helps out because those seemingly insignificant pieces of rubbish may end blowing into drains/creeks/rivers/animal stomachs etc. If you're with friends you could maybe even make a game of it and see who has the fullest bag.

I'd recommend using a material bag that can be washed cause uh rubbish is stinky and you definitely don't want a bag to smell.

Alternatively you could use those reusable and washable plastic bags that grandma's get for shopping. I'd just recommend something that can be folded or rolled up to fit in your bag and is washable.

Honourable mention to bioplastic bags, same strength and feel but biodegradable and not made from plastic or any petroleum based materials. (Credit to @metellastella for adding this <3)

Lackadaisy Mini Episode - Ingenue is now out!✨ I did some rough & cleanup animations for it, especially Little Ivy. She's adorable yet her hair can be tricky to work on at the same time haha. Also have a bonus Ivy rough which didn't make it in the final. Roughs by @pollovy @bmbrice @kyaptainkiddo
