A World For Her Alone | 'Never again' is a prayer, not a promise
Tumblr media
Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4 Chapter 5 Chapter 6 Chapter 7
cw (chapter specific): illness, death, pregnancy, birth, depression, absolutely nothing good happens to reader
pairing: claude x fem!reader
summary: the progression of Diana's illness and the birth of reader's child
author's note: sorry for the long gap in between updates, it will probably definitely happen again. anyway, who’s excited to place bets on Claude again? no one?
Tumblr media
You had heard, the week after the news arrived at your home, that Diana managed to hold out but still her situation was precarious. Her condition was unstable and required round the clock supervision. Always, at her bedside, there was someone looking over her.
In the months that followed, the mansion was deprived of Claude’s presence. He was by your little sister’s side and as pregnancy drained your body, you could not follow him. Your body ached and the pregnancy was a tumultuous one, if you set off immediately in a carriage which was prone to bumps, hard stops and shaking, you might miscarry. It didn’t matter, though. He didn’t want you there, didn’t want you robbing his time with Diana. An intruder in the scene, a foreign object hanging over a lover and his tragic heroine.
He had only visited once, in earlier days of your pregnancy, when you were not so tired. Claude rushed in, probably only to finish work since he had stayed at your parents for so long, ignoring you even as you stood at the foyer. You turned quickly and called his name. “I apologize, I have work to do,” He said, flatly as he turned to leave. “I’m with child!” You blurted, desperate to have a moment to tell him. You clearly wouldn’t get another. Claude stalled and turned slightly so that he was looking back at you but his body still postured as if he would leave. His face was emotionless for a moment and then a smile touched his lips. That smile didn’t reach his eyes, which still looked lifeless. “Is that so?” He responded with much difficulty, you could tell. The voice that spoke those words barely sounded like him, a voice straining itself, gravely with the effort of holding back sadness.
His expression…one of regret. This child that you knew could never be celebrated by him in such a situation, was already being regretted by him. You knew that it was the probable outcome all things considered. Even so, knowing something that will happen in the future is not the same as knowing how you will feel when it arrives. You hadn’t expected to wound him so deeply with those words, you would not have expected that instead of his anger or his irritation, you would face his wavering form racked with sadness and regret. Yet again the illusion of ever having such a thing as a tie other than marriage to Claude was broken.
And then he disappeared upstairs.
You mused to yourself in bed, curtains drawn, your arrival would perhaps cut through the spell casted by them alone. Alone, they could pretend you were no one of consequence, that there was only their love and nobody else would be needing and wanting them. No greater importance. Your presence was yet another tragic layer, a reminder that they could never be. An omen of the real world. Even though you alone were not what was keeping them apart, per se – you would function as the symbol. For you were his wife. Standing next to Diana you were the chief reminder of duty over love, the weak, beautiful and needing Diana next to you. It was almost a call for rebellion, wasn’t it?
Your mind roved with thoughts about your husband at your little sister’s bedside humming sweet words of assurance while every ache and pain of your body could only be comforted with your own voice. “Everything is going to be alright,” You whispered in the darkness of your room, hands on your small bump, caressing it as if it were a touchstone for hours, unable to sleep. You lost yourself in that large room, lit only by a small lamp. Mindlessly, feeling your bump with some unknown exhaustion and with some desire to simply let the weight piled onto your shoulders droop while you were alone, you contradicted yourself. You whispered to yourself, not even expecting to hear the words aloud. “I believe that it isn’t.”
Nevertheless, your strength did improve some later in your pregnancy and with no help from your mind. On none of those days did Claude come home and you felt every single one of them. Even so, you were tended to by your servants who would of course preserve the health of Claude’s heir. Your days passed without incident, monotonously. Until you received a request from Claude to come to your parent’s mansion.
Your hands shook holding the short and curt note with Claude’s initials. You thought about what front you should take. What expression, what words would be proper in this situation? If you had truly been a devoted sister, you would have already been there regardless of the threat it posed to your health. That was the ideal big sister. But in part, perhaps you had stayed home all this time because you knew that with just one look at her, you would reveal your resentment. Even if you said nothing, your eyes would cast the blame.
You got out of bed and prepared to leave, although you were not nauseous or in pain as you used to be, it was still difficult. Even the effort of dressing in proper outside clothing winded you. The carriage ride was slow, for your sake but still uncomfortable. Still, you could not refuse to see your husband who for months avoided this house. You could not help but follow him when he allowed.
Your escort knight, who had silently accompanied you since you became a young lady, held out his hand for you to steady yourself as you walked. “My lady,” he murmured, signaling you to allow him to help you. His hands were warm and you were glad for their strength, glad that regardless of every anxiety inside you, they pulled you along slowly. You ignored his blue eyes, plied with pity at the state of you.
You arrived at your family’s mansion, your body sore. Your parents did not waste time with greeting, they simply beckoned you in and explained Diana’s current situation. They did not comment on your protruding belly, nor even cast a fixed look at you, their eyes were always directed away from you. The mansion was quiet, nothing except your footsteps could be heard. It was as dim as Claude’s mansion and your parents also seemed washed out. Everything was cast in ashes and deprived of the glow it took on before.
Claude himself had asked that you go to your sister’s room, saying she wanted to see you. It was an absurd situation, having your husband be the one already there, beseeching you to see your sister. But you went along, words lost to you.
When you went into Diana’s room, it was as shrouded as the rest of the house. That thing, that which washed away all color, was the shadow of death. Diana was in bed, weaker than ever, her breathing labored. Her eyelids drooped, under her eyes was colored nearly red as her irises. She laughed pitifully when her ruby eyes fixed on you. “I’ve recovered somewhat, I can sit up now if mother helps me.” What lay underneath that statement, the words to be left unsaid were “It won’t be long.” And you could see it, death had Diana in view.
Even so, she did look very beautiful. Even as the sight of her conveyed pain, she was still beautiful.
Suddenly, she had grown grim. Her small smile dropped. “I’m sorry.” She said, voice wavering more than before.
What could you answer to that? What would a sister who prioritizes her little sister say? You tried to conjure some half hearted words to comfort her and to make yourself seem less like a hollow husk of something born brittle.
“I love Claude” She confessed. Diana confessed her love for Claude as if she were asking for redemption before a statue in a temple. Her fingers, bony and fragile as twigs, clasped each other as if she were praying. Tears rolled down her cheeks which had changed from their natural, sweet blush, into pure ivory.
“I don’t have much time left here.” Though the room was quite warm, you thought surely there must be a draft in the room. It chilled you to the bone.
You could smell, mixed with Diana’s medications, the lingering scent of Claude in the stuffy room. It still remained even with the comings and goings of doctors, even with the seeming stream of air. That was how long he spent in her room.
“I’m afraid to be alone. I don’t want to die alone.” You have never felt more numb. Is it that you must forgive her because she’s dying? No matter what, must she be forgiven? The words passed through you like the reach of a ghost.
You couldn’t, even just shallowly without any intentions, say those words. You left as silently as you came, proper words alluding you just the same. That night, back at the mansion, Claude confronted you as soon as he had come home. He informed you that Diana had cried.
“What did you say to her? She was fine until you came.” His expression was cold.
“Nothing,” You answered lamely with the literal truth.
“Don’t lie to me,” He scoffed “Everything you’ve done so far to other people, how can I believe you? You used that same face while scheming against others without a thought.”
“That child you’re carrying, is it even mine?” He continued, words sharp as blades and aimed to cut you open the same.
In that instance, the world turned white as a snowstorm. Those words were the gentle murder of you. Everything collapsed into itself. And for a moment, you were watching from outside of your own body, passively replaying that voice.
Who knows how long that went on? You blinked and you were in bed again with the doctor in front of you.
“Madame…you’re unwell. Your body is at risk because of this pregnancy. If we act quickly, you can be saved. But that is only if you give up on having this child” The doctor grimly told you. It was clearly unpleasant to serve such an ultimatum but there was no other way it seemed.
He held your hands, his were warm like before. “No.” Your voice was thin as a weak breeze but resolute. If you could only give birth to your child, you could show Claude. That child would dispel his worst suspicions.
…Therein lies the problem. That was why Claude said what he did. You had stepped over others and became stronger for the sake of your love for Claude. You were even willing to use your child to prove your loyalty. You had schemed against many as if it was nothing. Because living otherwise, it would have been hard to protect yourself, protect the fragile semblance of a life you two had. And no matter what, you had to follow that path.
You gave birth months later after much struggle. The strain was enormous to your body, so much so that you thought you may die before the baby was even born. But when the child was finally born, it had the same golden hair as Claude. However, you never saw if the baby had his eyes.
Your vision was hazy and your life was ever diminishing with each moment. No one had even given the child to you yet, you had been watching the midwives clean them off. An impossible yearning, a doomed desire overtook you. You did not even know if it was a boy or girl but your arms would never hold them. Your eyelids grew heavier and it would seem that there was a doctor saying something to a midwife but you could hear nothing but a droning ring inside your head.
Claude had not returned home, not even out of suspicion, to see his child being born. Not even as a marquess, to see his successor. Not even as a ghost. Not even as a hallucination.
In the end, there was no one to look to. Claude was tending solely to Diana even on the day his child was born. Diana had said she was afraid to die alone but Claude had been by her side all this time. You were afraid too. Uselessly afraid of what was before your eyes.
You didn’t want to be brought back. This time was enough to show you that you were not meant to live in this world. You never wanted to again.

Very random, but do you think Claude ever regretted not being there for athys birth, and basically letting the love of his life die alone with only maids and a newborn around her? I feel like it had to have come to his mind at least once, and now I kinda wanna read a one shot based around the idea, because mmmm angst.
Ooooh, 100000% yes.
We do see him regret (get depressed) quite a bit about being absent for most of her early childhood during that chapter when he stomped on that noble's hand that Aety possessed as well as when we see him shrink into his seat after he tells Athy of how Diana spoke(she TORE into the guy lmfao serves him right) to him.
About Diana, perhaps since the black magic didn't take a hold of him as Athy came into the picture earlier than in the Lovely Princess, we do know that he loved her and she him. He drinks himself to sleep on Athy's birthday and sees hallucinations of Diana, all symptoms of regret, depression, etc.
TL:DR; YES!!! WMMAP Timeline Claude definitely regretted not being there for Athy's birth after he got to know her as his daughter, and regretted even more about Diana's death because he was a foolish man to leave her there alone, knowing he could have been there for her last breaths, to kiss her hands and forehead, to let her know that he would be there for their daughter- a child born from their love.

The fate (Anastacius x Female Reader x Claude)
Chapter 5 : The Mistress's Child
It was normal for a wife to hate her husband mistress and their child, but for her, the mistress was the person who had treated her fairly instead of the husband. When the latter died during childbirth, the wife pledged to herself to raise her child with care and love, giving the child the affection and treatment she deserved but had been deprived of...
Female reader will be named as Celestial
Tumblr media
As always, Celestial hid behind a pillar to oversee a certain little girl who was approaching the Emerald Palace. She had observed the princess and noticed that she resembled Claude when he was a child, and there were no evident traces of Diana's characteristics except for her curiosity, similar to the latter and yet a lot of people did claimed the princess followed her mother features more. However, the princess did not take any precautions or seem concerned about the risks of being at the Emerald Palace, despite it being a place only for the Empress and the Emperor. Did she not feel scared if she accidentally met the emperor who had ignored her own mother?
Athanasia, a name that Diana bestowed on her own daughter before her passing from childbirth, also became the name that Claude used mockingly, being aware of its meaning as immortality. As if she was begging Claude to not kill their child. But, the crown prince had grown distant from Diana, not taking her feelings into consideration and only seeking for himself. And so, as Claude claimed to have lost a lot and could not bear to lose any more. Then, if he killed his only child, would he did not do anything except for losing some more? Celestial had lost her freedom because of Athanasia and Diana, but still she could not help but worry about the princess' fate.
"I am willing to do anything of your choice. I will support you with all my strength. I will be a good wife in exchange for saving the life of a child who was born innocent and free of sin. I beg you to have mercy and spare her, Claude. She is a pure being who only needs to be protected,"
Celestial pleaded as she hoped for the princess' safety. She could not help but feel the sense of urgency to protect Athanasia who was motherless and help Claude understand that this would be the right thing to do.
Celestial, despite having not bowed before anyone in her life, was now kneeling on the floor before her egoistic, monstrous husband. She lay her forehead on the ground in order to plead with the emperor to spare the princess' child from being killed. The scent of blood and corpses was overpowering and unpleasant, but Celestial remained to make sure that the innocent princess was protected. She could not risk it, having the sense of urgency to protect the pure and precious life of a child, despite her hatred for Claude. She had to save Athanasia with her very life.
Celestial refused to look at her husband, knowing that he was looking at her with hatred and anger. The surroundings were tense, due to the emperor's anger and the tense situation at hand. Knowing Claude, Celestial was fully prepared to sacrifice her own life to protect Diana's child, which she held so dearly. The mistress of her husband, Diana, was a kind person who was by Celestial's side when her husband neglected her and mistreated her. Because of her deep care and affection for Diana, she would go to any lengths and give her life to save Diana's child.
"Her name. Tell me,"
Claude ordered coldly, increasing the tension in the room and causing Lily to tremble in fear. She was desperate for her life and the newborn baby too. As they were the only ones alive amongst the sea of corpses, the Emperor's focus was firmly upon them. Lily was so terrified that she began to speak, answering his question with all her might, hoping that this will appease him and spare her life.
"Athanasia, Your Majesty," was the answer she gave, hoping that it was enough to keep her alive.
"Amusing. I wonder how long this thing can live in accordance to its name." Claude, upon hearing the response from the maid, chuckled madly and turned around to left the room without a second thought. He did not bother to look back, and in a stern tone to regard his wife. Knowing that Celestial gave him an offer to let the princess live, Claude finally agreed to this in turn for her devotion. He seemed to be satisfied by this outcome as he got to chain his wife by his side as long as he desired.
"And I would take your offer to me to let that filthy thing live"
While the palace was full of tension and conflict, it seemed that Athanasia enjoyed her time there. The little girl, having turned five years old this year, felt like a big girl as she was actively engaging in thievery of the palace decoration. The empress, could not help but notice her efforts to steal some decorations from the palace. In fact, she was so exposed in her position that anyone could locate her. Celestial, noticing her acts, tried hard to conceal her laughter, for she felt joy looking at the little princess engaging in such antics.
"I never know our guards are this incompetent that a thief can trespass into the main palace?"
Athanasia was caught off guard by a voice behind her. She then turned around, adorably showing of her doe eyes as she stared pleadingly at Celestial, who had witnessed her multiple times committing such sinful acts. Knowing that Celestial was aware of her daily activities, she hoped for her mercy and tried to gain sympathy by looking appealing and cute to her. However, Celestial had already grown accustomed to her thievery and antics, and the fact that Athanasia had gained a large collection of stolen items in her pockets had become a routine matter for both of them which the empress gave her full support for the girl. Let's make the palace be poor!
"Auntie, please don't tell anyone. Athy will give you my precious chocolate. Please keep this a secret," the little girl begged Celestial, referring to her as 'auntie' as she never know the true identity of the woman who she had met since a week ago.
"Is it the chocolate that you steal from the kitchen?"
"It already in my hands so it is Athy's!"
"You're funny. Am I not giving you enough jewels yesterday?"
"Athy just love pretty stuff so much that Athy wants it to be mine! Auntie is pretty too! Athy loves your hair and your eyes the most. Athy loves Auntie the most!"
Celestial knew the princess wanted her to keep her thievery a secret, but it was fun for her to tease Athanasia from time to time. In a way, being with this little girl had brought life to Celestial's darkened world, and she was glad to spend proper time with someone who was open and honest in their thoughts. She knew that the princess was a little wild at times, but it was far more enjoyable to speak to someone who was sincere and innocent compared to communicating with an adult with hidden agendas.
"Athy, I have a present for you for visiting me again, please extend your hand to me," Celestial told the little princess, who was more than happy to accept the gift.
"Is it bigger and sparkly than yesterday?" Athanasia asked with excitement, clearly expecting a magnificent gift as she had gained many trinkets from her previous visits.
"It is better than yesterday, Athy," Celestial replied with a smile, indicating that the gift would be better than what she had given Athanasia the day before. She gave the princess a little pouch, which she took in her hands curiously.
"It's not a jewel or gold?"
"Open it. I assure you will love it a lot"
Athanasia, the little girl from the royal family, opened the pouch with a sense of doubt, as she had certain expectations when it came to gifts such as this. She considered only gold and jewels to be worthy gifts to receive, as they were the only things she deemed to be invaluable for her future. The princess was not easy to please when it came to gifts, for these precious items were crucial for her future, and she wished to find out whether her expectations would be met.
Athanasia, the princess, was overjoyed when she opened the pouch and discovered that there were endless amounts of gold and jewels inside. She was overwhelmed with joy at the sight of the precious items and was amazed at the seemingly endless space inside the pouch. She was thrilled by the knowledge that she would no longer have to struggle with hiding the items she had stolen, for the pouch's space could hold everything with no one being able to notice. She thought that the gifts that she had been given were more than worthwhile, for they had truly exceeded her expectations.
"It is a limitless space inside the pouch so after this, you can put everything inside the pouch instead of your pocket. No one will notice if you steal anything more after this"
"Athy loves it! Thank you, Auntie!"
The princess hugged Celestial and gave her thighs a tight hug, as a way to show her appreciation for the gift she had just given. Celestial, in turn, also enjoyed the hug for it was a way of bonding and communicating with the little princess. She would also look forward to more future interactions, for the time she had spent with Athanasia had been an important and precious experience for both of them.
"I'm glad that you love it" She caressed the little girl hair gingerly to return her action. Celestial and Athanasia were in their own pleasant world, being completely unaware of the presence of the two individuals approaching them. However, they were soon pulled back from their dreamy moments when they heard a loud voice coming from somewhere nearby. It seemed that the princess and Celestial were not the only ones in the room, for two individuals had arrived and spotted them from a distance.
"What is this filthy bug doing in my palace?" The two girls turned to face the source of the voice, curious to see who had spoken out in such a way. It was non other than the emperor, Claude De Alger Obelia

Hi can I request ror x Athanasia reader
DEAR QUEEN
Tumblr media
"Even if Claude no longer sees me as his daughter because of Jennette, Claude was the first father I ever had, and I have loved every moment of it."
Record Of Ragnarok X Athanasia De Alger Obelia! Reader
Note: Thank you for the request <3 But as I said, please specify the character as well. Also, since I still don't see Athanasia as an adult, this is platonic...It's short because I can't think of much.
Adam - Eve
Okay, so we all know that Adam would do anything for his children, right?
The mother and father of humanity have thousands of children and they embrace all of them wholeheartedly.
But being killed by your father? This changes everything.
While Adam was kicking Claude's ass, Eve had already become a mother figure to you.
Maybe Claude and Diana couldn't be your parents, but Adam and Eve were perfect parents for you. Because the hearts broken by your parents do not heal, but you get better every day.
Fun fact, Eve is taller than Adam and strong enough to carry you on her back a lot.
Adem is the kind of father you can do make-up with and gossip with. Cain and Abel are often the targets of your evil plans, and then you trick them into not telling Eve.
The perfect family you never had while you were alive 🥺

A World For Her Alone | Things lost, things beloved
Tumblr media
Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4 Chapter 5 Chapter 6 Chapter 7 Chapter 8
cw (chapter specific): murder, misogyny, infidelity, forced marriage, suicide
pairing: claude x fem!reader
summary: The aftermath of loss takes its toll and with the walls closing in, reader is left with one choice. Whether she knows it or not.
author's note: Felix is reader's knight! How fun! Boy, I sure hope nothing bad happens in this one!
Tumblr media
The sunlight was blinding as soon as your eyes opened yet again and you were hit with a horrid feeling of loss. Seconds ago you were hearing your child’s cries, just moments ago. You had lost them. The realization of that sunk in slowly, as slow as the seconds had gone while you had given birth. You were stumbling before you knew it and the world turned on its side before you caught yourself on the table.
“What’s the matter?” Claude said, looking at you with those weary eyes and that wry smile you were all too familiar with.
“Where are they?” You muttered.
“Sister?” Diana looked at you with her wide eyes full of unease.
“Where is my child?” You could have screamed if only you were strong enough.
Upon seeing your sweet sister’s guileless face, you were seized with a grief bigger than any you had ever known. You grasped her shoulders tightly, squeezing her and looking deeply into those eyes which did not rebuke you nor show guilt.
“You took them from me, didn’t you? It wasn’t enough for you to have him, you wanted the only thing…” You didn’t even finish your ranting before Claude had pulled you off, gripping your arm harshly enough to bruise.
“You don’t have a child yet. No one has taken anything from you,” He uselessly explained, in a disgruntled voice suppressing anger.
You wilted under his grip immediately, tears springing to your eyes as you pulled away. “Please, help me…I–” Your mouth could not find the words to accurately relay the pain you were in. No matter how wanted, no matter how loved, that child would be lost to you forever. And you did not even see their face, all you had to hold onto was the golden hair of a man who looked down at you now with contempt.
You teetered away from the table, nearly falling before Felix, your knight, caught you.
“I’m afraid my lady isn’t feeling well, I’ll see her to her room,” He said simply. His speech was lacking the proper consideration for Claude’s status but he didn’t seem to be concerned. Before Claude or Diana could respond, he was walking off with you.
“You left me, Felix. I was alone.”
“Never, my lady. It is my duty to be at your side” He refuted quietly.
“I never held them...Who did they give my child to? Claude wasn’t there. You weren’t there.”
“I will always be there to protect you, my lady. I have sworn it so.” You had no idea why he was even entertaining your delusions, but he patiently responded as if he didn’t consider you insane although you knew it was just to placate you. In consideration of your feelings.
“Why would you give me your hand in those moments if you knew you wouldn’t be there when I needed it the most?”
“My lady, I promise that I will be there whenever you need.”
“But you cannot. You cannot save me.”
That quieted him. There was worry in his eyes, something rarely seen. Although you refuted his attempts to calm you, the kindness still brought tears to your eyes when you were alone. A bit of comfort could feel like heaven. A drop of clean water while you had waited in your cell could have tasted like the nectar of the gods then. You would have wept then, too, if only there had been such mercy as you were receiving now.
Your father barred your window. No matter your attempts to assure him that you hadn’t gone insane, he refused to believe them. You were not allowed to leave your room save for going to the library and even so, your knight was to stand inside at all times instead of at the door. All the while, Claude was still visiting the manor. Only this time, exclusively to see Diana.
“My lady, Lord Claude is with Lady Diana again.” Felix brought the information to you with a restless tone as if displeased.
“Ah yes, he’s keeping her company…” You murmured emotionlessly.
“He does so quite frequently without even seeing my lady, will you not say anything to Lady Diana?” He was almost pleading.
“It can’t be helped even if I say something. He is the one who goes to her, mother and father abide the visits as well,” You said, resigned. It couldn't be helped, you told yourself again and again. It seemed like the truth, no matter what feelings bloomed whether yours or Claude's, the path to marriage would remain imminent. What cause was there for your parents to care? Especially if it made Diana happy. “Do you know why it is that my father put bars on my bedroom windows and has you stand at my side constantly now?”
Felix did not answer. “It isn’t because he thinks I’ll hurt myself. It’s because he’s afraid that I will escape.”
“My lady…” He frowned, his brow furrowing.
That much was the truth. Your father wouldn’t be concerned for something as insignificant as your life. It was about making sure that you completed your duties. You wondered, in your past life, had he cared that you died? Most likely not, since you had already given Claude his precious heir and no honor or expense had been lost to the family.
In stillness and quiet, you could still hear your child’s cries. It was so miserable a sound you wanted to claw at the walls and the ground as if it would open up and let you see them again. But your eyes caught Felix’s and remembered the feeling of comfort yet again. You could have drowned in those eyes, you wanted to lose yourself to them and feel nothing. You did. For a time.
It was raining the night you ran away from home. You had asked Felix to take you away. Hand in hand you went into that miserable night and disappeared, relieved to finally be entirely unseen. There was no way the two of you could return to your lives, the two of you would bear each other as long as you were on the run. No longer noble, no longer a knight, the two of you still remain liege and vassal. Felix, until the end, protected you.
But the matter of a missing noble bride to be was a massive affair, it was the loss of many hardwon assets. One that prompted the use of knights scouting their whereabouts. And a house as influential as Claude’s had no shortage of help. Knights spread throughout the country and truly it was only a matter of time before you were found. In the end, it hadn’t been more than a few weeks.
Felix, a knight who dishonored himself with the crime of stealing away the bride of a noble house, was killed on sight. Without comrades, a single sword against many, he was done in quickly. Not without blood which splattered lightly on your dress and leaked onto the ground in a pool that ran from the downpour. Over without a flinch from the hand holding the sword.
You yourself were brought back, despite the enormous scandal. When the knights who apprehended you brought you to Claude’s manor, you sat before his mother.
“Everyone has unavoidable duties, every occupation has its purpose. That knight fulfilled his, I suppose, dying for his master.” She laughed lightly as if it were only a foolish thing he’d done.
“It’s true that you were the one learning the skills necessary for your station,” She continued. “But our house was always the one who bore the burden of your education. Did you think these things meant nothing? The tutors, the books, the tools, they were worth money — money that our house invested on the condition of your marriage.”
“Not only did we invest our wealth, but our time. What has it been, 13 years to make you a marchioness? You must understand, my daughter-in-law, you cannot be replaced.”
Her words echoed in your mind. She was right, it was the only reason to accept a woman who’d run off with another man back into her position. A bride was too valuable an asset to lose, let alone one who had been readily imbued with the knowledge necessary. No. Of course they wouldn’t have let her be. And of course they couldn’t let Felix live, in fear that you’d already eloped with him and your very important marriage would be made invalid. From that standpoint, you understood. But you couldn’t stop seeing Felix’s body, trampled on and mangled, disregarded in the aftermath. As if he were nothing at all.
Soon after that, you had been permitted a visit from a girl about as young as you. She looked to be the daughter of a merchant from her clothing, too intricate to be simply commoner clothing and too modest to be noble. She was lovely, with blue eyes and brown hair, wearing what was not quite mourning garb. It looked to be a normal style of dress made black, without a veil or gloves.
“I was Felix’s fiance,” She began, looking at you through hateful eyes. “We were going to get married once things had settled down with you. I told him that I’d wait, no matter how long it was, I was prepared to be his wife in time. Did you ever think he had someone?” This woman could not even wear proper mourning attire because they were not yet wed when Felix was killed. Their relationship did not fall under those worth mourning, because according to etiquette, they did not yet have one. They were two young people waiting to become part of each other’s lives officially.
You couldn’t offer useless sorries, your mouth would not form words.
“What a tragedy Felix was dealt, having you as his lady,” She spat, paying no mind to the tears rolling down her face as she wrung her handkerchief in anger. Why had you not considered that Felix had obligations of his own? A marriage must have surely been struck between his family and hers as was not uncommon in wealthier common and lesser noble families. You had taken Felix’s pity for something more than the loyalty that it was. He took your hand and helped you to escape because you were the lady he chose to obey. You had made him flout his duties with no consideration.
You had wept as you walked down the aisle, the wedding had been moved up in light of the scandal. They did not want to give you even half a chance to run away again. Silent tears fell as you gazed with eyes as lifeless as a doll’s, at the altar.
“Why are you the one crying when I’m the one who was betrayed?” Claude had remarked sharply at your tears, certainly disgusted though he did not show it. The onlookers and witnesses of your wedding were there to gawk at the mess of a girl who tried to run away and cheat her fiance on her promise.
After the wedding, you had been left alone finally by Claude who reviled you and your in-laws who had been satisfied to see the wedding had gone through. You could not function as the marchioness, not with the guilt weighing on you on top of everything. Nothing had changed for the better, you had added new problems to the ones you already had. The image of blood being washed away by rain, mixing into mud, haunted you. It had rained the day of your wedding too. And had you simply imagined that it had every day since? The storm sounded like wailing, like that of a newborn.
You tore the sheets with your teeth and wove them into makeshift rope.

Hello 🤗 can I please request yandere Claude headcanons from wmmap with a female reader who is a mediocre witch and isn't as powerful as him? And she also works as a maid in his castle. Thank you ☺️❤️

☯ Okay, so you probably worked as a maid at the palace, often using your minor magical abilities in helping you clean and stuff. You were possibly friends with Lily and maybe cared for either Athanasia or Jeanette, because that's how he came to know you.
☯ You reminded him some way of Diana and so he got intrigued and more curious and soon he became obsessed with you, how you were so gorgeous...maybe even more gorgeous than Diana...He simply couldn't get it in himself to look away from you..
☯ Had Athy, Lily and Felix get close to you as much as possible, until he got a bit close to you as friends, once could say...you won't ever realize how you walk right into his palm. Not like Lily, Felix or Athy can go against Claude, definitely not...It's not that they want to, they just won't...too much work in their opinion..
☯ Often he'd have you use our magic less and less to the point you started to forget how it felt using it...who knew it would end with you locked in a room for hours on end?
☯ Claude refuses to let anyone see you, sometimes not even Lily or Felix, they have to walk in with blindfolds and work for you and they are guided by Claude, he's not cruel enough to punish them, he knows he's having them blindfolded and so mistakes are bound to happen.
☯ But mistakes are absolute refusal in his opinion, even Athy isn't allowed to make many mistakes infront of you, it goes a bit too the point, he adores you more than he adores Athy, but he feels bad for that. You and Diana wouldn't want him to neglect her and so he does spend time with her separately.
☯ Claude has taken away most of the freedom, which freedom of privacy, no privacy with him, he baths you, he feeds you, he picks out your clothes, etc. Nothing in his opinion is safe enough, ever since Diana, he's gotten more paranoid about it.
☯ Definitely pulls string to make sure you can't use your magic, maybe Athy got Lucas to do it..Maybe Claude got some low level criminal wizard to do it to forgive a bit of his sentence? Whatever it may be, you won't use your magic, no matter how strong or how mediocre..
☯ Will kill any maid or butler who you don't like...or ANYONE you don't like, infact, pulling strings to accuse them of various serious crimes. He can blame someone for treason, someone for murder, someone for crimes against royalty and stuff, he's not afraid.

Last one for the day and therdeo is with claude from wwmap and cale from trash counts family today hehe.
Claude x therdeo:The relationship will be tense though. In Lovely process timeline, claude married therdeo due to therdeo reminding him of diana and at the same time wanting therdeo to always like what claude wants him to be. Therdeo would have some trouble taking care of athy but unlike claude,he slowly care for the girl and tries his best. In wwmap,he will still care for her and have celphius play with her once in a while. For athys little stepsiblings are roxana from how to protect the heroines older brother and estelle from knight to lady.
cale x therdeo: It would turn into an arranged marriage because in the og timeline, cale cares for therdeo even though he doesn't shown much and because they were childhood friends. Now after kim roksu took over cales body,he will provide affection for therdeo through money and well companionship especially handholding, cheek kisess and hugs. The kids for these two are only leonia from I became the adopted daughter of the male lead and ashtarte from ashtarte manhwa(she is adopted as cale found her in an abandoned palace)
I actively refuse to read totcf/tboah cause I want to finish orv first so I can't talk about Cale.
Claude×Therdeo: Idk how Theo would remind him of Diana can you explain that part?
I just can't see it. Celphi and Athy siblings? I can see that but Claude×Therdeo just isn't doing it for me. Sorry oomf ☹️☹️☹️

Was brainrotting some FloRid aus while I watch/read anime and manhwas.
One night, while Riddle was sleeping in his room in Heartslabyul, he was suddenly teleported to a cinema room alongside a confused Floyd. Assuming Floyd was behind the teleportation, Riddle immediately tried to cast "OFF WITH YOUR HEAD," but no magic or collar appeared. Realizing the room restricted magic, he noted that only a select few could access it. Floyd, still bewildered, ran to his "Goldfishie" and started playing with Riddle's hair. Riddle, frightened by the inability to use magic, speculated that a magical barrier might be in place. He then noticed a note in front of the large screen and began to read it.
"Learn from the other you(s)"
As he read the note, a sudden flash of light filled the room, revealing familiar yet different silhouettes. Red and teal hair could be seen from the shadows, and as they emerged, their facial features became clear. Could it be... another version of themselves?
Lists of people in the cinema room:
Original! Floyd x Riddle - these two will have an a lot of adventures with their other selves
Jikininki! Floyd x Human! Riddle - based off the fanfic "To crush a rose" by Trappola
Zack! Floyd x Rachel! Riddle - from "Angels of Death" (added this because Floyd and Zack has the same VAs in jp)
Shigure! Floyd x Akito! Fem Riddle - from "Fruits Basket" (O! Riddle and Akito! Riddle trauma dump because of their shtty mother)
Carcel! Floyd x Ines! Fem Riddle - from "The Broken Ring: This Marriage Will Fail Anyway" ( I really can't explain how this manhwa made me cry a lot, and how it fits FloRid)
Hikaru! Floyd x Ai! Fem Riddle - from "Oshi no ko" (this one is random, but somehow add twists)
Some aus I want to personally add but won't be part of main casts:
Calisto! Floyd x Penelope! Fem Riddle - Villainess are Destined to Die
Claude! Floyd x Diana! Fem Riddle - Who made me a Princess
Protagonist! Floyd x Antagonist! Riddle - I have to be a Great Villain
Shinpei! Floyd x Satoko! Riddle - Firefly Wedding
That is all! Thanks for reading!
