Good! Good good good, feel...! Think! The light weaves in and around the webbing, seeking him out and clinging where it can-- the red ones landing on his coat and sticking like drops of paint. Leeching their warmth to the veteran wherever else they touched and gathering around the spots where the vines and blades had punctured... almost in apology. Their touch soothing for maybe a moment before fizzling out. Sorry, sorry...

This is it--! || The Break Out!

| ⚡ 🌱 ⚡ | The pain was easing as the warmth flooded into him again and again and more sense started to return to him. There was more like, and the matrix prison of blades and roots was clearer than ever. Vash could see the edges of it as more light reached him.

This place wasn't endless. It was as much a fakement as Nai pretended to be. He didn't realize the capacity for perseverance that any Vash possessed, let alone what help from another Vash could provide. Or that of his loved ones. Nick. He could feel something that felt like Nick, echoing across a greater distance that he'd ever though possible. But it warmed him in his core. Something Nai could never understand. Love. Partnership. Trust.

It came to him with a jolt, lightning hot and powerful. He could hear him, feel him. He felt fear and uncertainty, his determination to do anything he had to--to what? Stop Nai? What happened? He needed to get back now. If Nick was in danger, Meryl was in danger, too! He needed to get to them!

Greenie. GREENIE! I'm awake.. I can feel your presence. Where are you?

Energy, bright gold and blinding, shot through all of the matrix's structure. It burned away as if made of nothing more than a thought. Because that was what it was. This was inside the mind. Shaped to their will. To Greenie's will. With Vet's help... And the connection to his body was rapidly returning. He felt the urgency in it. If he didn't return soon, something very very bad was going to happen.

Feathers grew from the holes the roots and blades had made, driving them out and sealing the wounds with little pain anymore. No. Nai couldn't hurt them here. Not anymore. Something had his attention. Things were not going as planned, and he could no longer keep a hold on Greenie's mind, or the prison Vet had been trapped in.

It was time to get out of here. Wing-shapes spread from Vet's shoulder and back, wildly with no real rhyme or reason. All he knew was it would give him the boost he needed to break free of this place once and for all.

It was mind-logic. It didn't have to make sense for it to work. Right? With more confidence than he'd felt for a while, he gathered the wings together and jumped 'up' breaking through the brittle prison. It crumbled beneath him as he was away. Headed out of the darkness, as if from the depths of the deepest ocean, rising toward light so vague and far away it seemed impossible.

"I'm on my way!" Now, to find Greenie... so they could both make it back to the waking world--and hope that no one else had been hurt while they fought to break free of Nai's mind games.

Yay! I get to share more music~ Going through my 8k likes on spotify lets goooo. Okay nvm, the first song doesn't have a lot of lyrics in English so I'll grab another one. The song it gave was Headshot by Unterart.
