My character Cibella! From my WIP YA/tween fantasy novel Indigo Atalanto series, the first book of which is called ‘Indigo the Witchling’, set in a magical world that’s kinda all over the place, in a good way.

Cibella Stonch is a Necromantical Witch who teaches necromancy and Communications with the Undead Realm at the Witchery, which is where Witchlings earn their certification to become a professional Witch. 

Her familiar is Amzy the yellow viper, who can transform into a whip made of bones, which can drag ghosts temporarily from the Undead Realm into the Living Realm. 

She is an Othli, which means she is a mothy-humanoid, and like most Othlis she is from a poor family who tend their local graveyard. However, Cibella only went and married the Hallesian Prince Aureus, who is also a Witch, so now she has a fortune to spend on gifts for her ghost buddies and adopt lots of weird pets, including a giant sparkly pink beetle which replaces a horse on her skull-shaped carriage. 

I wanna do more backgrounds! This was an attempt do to a background. What are your thoughts on backgrounds?

Cibella Stonch - character from my witchy novel series!

She is head of Ghostal Studies and Communications with The Undead at The Witchery. Cibella is also a descendent of the Othli so is part human and part moth! Round her neck is her very cute snake familiar. She likes soft feminine things and has many ghost friends. She married a lowkey real prince who also works at the Witchery, but Cibella was raised in poverty as a gravedigger as all the Othli were, so she is still frugal.
