Biography/Headcanons
Chuachai Chaiket was born fourteen minutes and thirty-seven seconds before his twin sister, Pim, thus cementing his place as the first in line to the Thai throne, a position in life that he's never held any resentment whatsoever towards. It was obvious as the twins grew older that Choo was clearly meant for this position and that the boy seemed to love that he was destined to help keep the people of his country safe and happy. Always willing to lend a helping hand and always looking for ways to better the lives of his people, Choo has spent countless hours studying to take over as King one day without complaint. But, with his sister by his side, he's learned how to gain a healthy balance in his life and can allow himself time to be...well, normal on occasion.
Though he's not as gung-ho about pranks as his sister, Pim, Choo has been known to participate in a few of her antics now and then. He enjoys the time he gets to spend with Pim and the joy that these pranks bring to her while seeing no harm if nobody gets hurt. He's also been known to get his sister back on occasion after she's successfully gotten him with one of her cleverer pranks. Though his parents don't approve of most of these shenanigans they accept it if Choo keeps up his good behavior at royal events and while out in public.
The only thing that Choo really argues with his parents about is the way they treat Pim, especially their mother. He's butt heads with the reigning royals of Thailand on many occasions over the years and Choo refuses to back down from an argument over how they make his sister feel. He really sees no harm in the way Pim is the way that they do. In fact, he finds that his sister's enjoyment of life and the fun she has is endearing to him. He laughs more when she's around, enjoys his days more, and he finds her joy infectious and there is no way in his mind that could be a bad thing.
Obedient to his parent’s ways, Chuachai has gone through times where they've been in discussions for a betrothal and he's walked through these moments in life with as much grace as he could. But Choo has figured out over the years that he's simply not attracted to women. He's known he was gay since he was in his early teens and has accepted that fact about himself but he knows it will be much harder for his parents to do the same, especially with all of the pressure they've put on him to be the perfect crown. He's not ashamed of being gay, and he doesn't exactly keep it a huge secret, but he's not shouting it from the rooftops either. If people figure it out, he accepts it and moves on, perhaps secretly hoping the news will get back to his parents so he doesn't have to tell them himself. It's time for them to know, though, so that they won't end up setting up an alliance that will have to be broken once he reveals his unwillingness to have an heir with a woman.
Choo has spent the past two years becoming Thailand's golden boy. More appearances were made, more dinners were had, and more cameras were shoved in his face so that the country could fall in love with him even more. His parents were successful in showcasing his poise and his love for his country and the people adore their future king. But when news of the royals being relocated to their country hit him Chuachai convinced his parents to send him to the island as their representative at the castle. He's so excited to see his sister again and he's equally excited about getting a break from the public while being able to converse with fellow crowns to gain more ideas for leading a country successfully.
People call him Choo Choo, or simply Choo. It started when he was a kid and going on visits with his father to other countries. A lot of the other children couldn't pronounce his name correctly so he would simply tell them to call him Choo. Choo Choo came a little later after another royal thought it was cute and it stuck.
He can speak all forms of Thai, English, Lao, and Maylay fluently while he is conversational in Khmer and Chinese.
