chrismoss and that

I had a nice Xmas all told. I got very little sleep leading up to Xmas Eve with the fic exchange, but despite the tiredness I actually enjoyed writing it a lot. I worked up until the afternoon of Xmas Eve then went for drinks -> dinner -> more drinks with my best friend. Overindulged, but we had a lovely evening. Delicious champagne, and a jam doughnut-flavoured beer I’m still dreaming about. When I got home I watched Muppet Christmas Carol (which I hadn’t seen for *years* and cried at quite a lot; I’m blaming the drinks) and miraculously didn’t murder my neighbours who were having a very rowdy party.

Christmas Day I went to a hotel with my godparents because we all hate cooking. The weather was stupid gorgeous for late December so the fact it was far from my house and I had to walk there was fine. Wore my sequin skull jumper like I wanted and I LOVE it. The food at the hotel was amazing and we had a good time - in the evening I went to a friend of my mum’s house for a party; we were just gonna go for one drink to say hello but it ended up a bit of a session. When people are too drunk to play CAH you know it’s time to go home, lol. But it was good fun, saw lots of people I hadn’t seen for years. 

After that I was peopled TF out and thus spent Boxing Day under my Dan blanket on the sofa watching youtoob and the Big Fat Quiz of the Year. Back to work on the 27th (bleh), and now here we are. Thankfully, I’m now off work until the 6th Jan aww yiss. My plans are viddy game (Outer Worlds), eat, sleep ... that’s about it. 

Gift-wise as a single oldie I don’t get like *big* gifts but I got some very nice bits including a Beatles calendar, choclit, socks, reed room scenter etc. BFF got me a very nice bracelet.

I do like New Year so next week I’ll pick up a bottle of good champagne, cry over how weird and shitty 2019 has been and then kick its ass out of the door like it deserves.
