Charles Leclerc x Reader

Warnings: allusion to marriage?!?!??, allusion to getting a pet?!?!?!?(this one was inspired by my very insightful follower @iamapersonwholikesunicorns, who always lets me know their thoughts on my writing, and offers really good input and ideas. Turns out, what gave Charles the pep in his step that day was the fact that F1 summer break was closing in. He had plans to take you out on his family’s yacht for dinner. 

 You both continued your daily routines, waiting for a break to begin (not that much would change for you in terms of your work). 

 However, in the midst of all this, you’d completely forgotten about your birthday. So when Charles requested you to dress up a little and beckoned you downstairs on a quiet Sunday morning, it was safe to say you were shocked as you spotted the quaint little picnic layout he’d prepared in a secluded area. 

 You really were getting the princess treatment.

 Not that you were objecting. It was nice to have someone care for you like this.

 Similarly, you’d managed to pull some strings and surprise Charles for his birthday in October. It was nothing, really, but you had made numerous phone calls to friends and friends of friends to secure VIP tickets to the next nearest Coldplay concert. 

When you led your boyfriend to the venue, he was stunned.  

“Is this a concert?” he asks, confused. You nod and push him toward the entrance. 

 Once you both get significantly lost in the narrow twists and turns of the numerous hallways of the backstage room, you’re greeted by the band itself. 

 Charles turns to you, eyes wide. “Is that Coldplay or am I dreaming?” he mouths. You shrug and gesture toward the artists. 

“Hey Chris! It’s great to meet you; been a while.”

 “Hey, Y/n! And is this Charles Leclerc? THE Charles Leclerc?! What an honor.” 

You shove your boyfriend forward, who manages to reclaim his serene, cool appearance. He sticks out his arm in greeting. “Nice to meet you, Mr. Martin; I’m a big fan.”

 Charles and Chris immediately hit it off while you talk to the other band members, and they give you special passes and barricade “seats” to enjoy the show.  

The concert is honestly one of the most breathtaking ones you have ever been to, and that’s saying something. Charles feels the same, and he has a dreamy, glazed look in his eye as you drive home.

He finally takes you out on the yacht, with the rest of the Leclerc family present. You’ve begun to love your body and appearance more, so you ask Charles and Charlotte (because she was a girl’s girl and totally understood the angles) to take some photos for you to post online. They turned out amazing, and Charles’ fans cheered you on. Reading the comments made color rise to your cheeks, because there’s no way all these people were complimenting you and were imagining they could be you. It certainly boosted your self-esteem, and it also brought Charles’s attention to the fact that his fans wanted to see more of you. 

He wasn’t quite sure how he felt about that, but he sure as hell wouldn’t be hiding you away. Not with how much he loved you and wanted to show the world you were just as much his as he was yours. God, he couldn’t wait to see the look on your face when he went down on a knee.  

But first, he wanted to make a quick addition to your little two-person family.

Watching a band (Coldplay) react to a crowd (reportedly 100,000, at Glastonbury) singing their song (Fix You) back to them is something I don't think I'll ever get tired of.

Coldplay is just four grown men + their ex manager that still sticks around just vibing around the world, trying to promote sustainable ways of making music while making poppy cheesy songs about love as a experience instead of a romantic feeling and tbh I just love them for that
