Bitter Coffee [Yandere-Tsundere!Male!Senpai! x GN!Reader - Headcanon]:

🎇 Let me set the stage for a quick sec! 🎇

(This is not a continuation nor a prequel, but it does involve the same idea of the post I've mentioned before, which by the way, is old and has some cringey text!)

Christopher was many things, including socially unaware, or at least socially awkward. Yes, the guy was smart, handsome and that edgy grumpy aesthetic could be pretty charming- He looked like a half-dead, lanky librarian with a bad eyesight and that was probably why a lot of people flocked to him.

The man wasn't goth, but he was gothic, ya know? The man was built like a tree and somehow, people just seemed really interested in him! He never really understood why, he just wants to be left alone!! Please!!

He hates having people surround him constantly and talking way too loud, way too close to his face all the time- Seriously, they won't get a kiss doing that? (Which by the way, ew?! Ew. Is what he would think).

He is a very distant person, and he seems to purposefully push people away from him, but he tends to not do that with you- Most of the time.

You were a stalker, it was quite simple, even if he DID make an effort you would still follow him, wouldn't you?!

You were annoying, frankly he knew all about your… "Admiration". Seriously, you're not being sneaky, sugar cube. You were more persistent than the other ones, which was probably how you managed to weasel your way into his life.

… No, that's not true, although he is as friendly as a cactus to everyone including you, he really appreciates your company. You weren't really all that bad at all, but you had a way to make him frustrated that he didn't know how to describe.

So when he sees you avoiding him recently he feels like you're just trying way too hard to make him worried for you- Frankly, he thinks your game of cold-shoulder is dumb and should stop right now!-

Chris didn't think you were doing it on purpose at first, well, to be honest at first he was glad to have his own space for a few days! Especially since he was already busy studying, he could be a smart person but he studying was a focusing nightmare to him-

Then later, after the test week, you still seemed very distant… He thought you were finally focusing on your education like you always complained about, hell, he even came to you one day and told you how proud he was! Even inviting you to study in his house!! He never does that!

Oh… But you didn't understand why he was so happy, and he didn't understand why you rejected his offer… He was wrong on his assumption, then? Or did you really not want to spend time with him?

"As expected, I don't even know why I assumed you would be studying, let me guess- You were too focused on another random piece of media this week? Do I know it? We could talk about it on the way out, like always right?" He wasn't the best with words, and neither with his tone. Yet he was genuinely expecting you to talk to him about it, like you always do!... You didn't. You answered in a hurry and scurried away.

Maybe you were just in a hurry, maybe if he was lucky he'll be able to catch you to walk with him home.

You didn't, but worse than not finding you was seeing you walking around with one of your so-called friends. Mylo, was it? Well, it could be worse… Annie was a LOT more annoying to deal with.

Always so possessive of you, it didn't seem like a healthy friendship at all yet you never took his words seriously… Always so protective of you, as if a leaf couldn't fall on your head that you just break under pressure! [Y/n] is their own individual, ANNIE!!

Says the mf following you two-

Mylo was a lot less direct about his discomfort regarding your crush, well… Your friend had his own motives, and of course he would NEVER do anything to hurt his best friend! But he couldn't bring himself to be mean towards Christopher, maybe he just simply couldn't be mean to anyone perhaps…

So interactions between these two were often civil, polite, yet very not pleasant. Chris never understood how you could be friends with those two, they were clearly obsessed with you.

Wait… was.. Was that why you haven't been able to spend time with him at all?! Because of GODDAMN MYLO?!

"HEY!!" He yelled out as he made his previously hidden presence known, acting as if he just came close to you know and that he hasn't been following you two for a long time now-

Despite your clear confusion since technically the route is fairly different from the one you usually take to go home- He brushed it off by simply placing his right arm above your shoulders and around your neck, being in the middle between you and Mylo.

Who, by the way, noticed it but didn't even try to change the situation.

"Ah, I missed walking around like this! [Y/n], why didn't you tell me you were going this way before? I was planning on going to that ice cream shop you always told me about- Where have you been lately, by the way?"

He is very not subtle about this, he is trying but he can't lie about how his true intentions here is trying to deviate you from walking with your friend. Oh, you were going to his home to play games? So he'll come too, obviously, and if Mylo doesn't want that then too bad! Guess Game Friday will have to be another day!!

Oh… Mylo doesn't… think it's a bad idea to have you two over… That wasn't really the plan, especially since Chris doesn't like to be in someone's house that he doesn't know well enough.

".....ffffffFINE!! Great even!!" He was fuming, it was very obvious how displeased he was with the situation, but he would be damned if he backed down now!

→ Christopher Hill:

He is a dumb-dumb, he'll take a long time to realize he is jealous and then proceed to do everything in his power to make it everyone else's problem.

He doesn't even know he likes you so much, or that all the bad things he says about your friends could be attributed to him.

He finds them possessive and obsessed with you, but he goes out of his way to insert himself on your little "friend hangout" even if it pains him to no end. In this scenario, I mentioned Mylo who isn't very confrontational, and actually is very interested in hanging out with your crush (he is very curious about why you like this twig of a human being so much… maybe he understands it a little bit…).

Annie is almost the complete opposite, she finds Chris's game of cat and mouse with you really unhealthy and wishes you could fall out of love for this guy already- I-It isn't love!! It's just a stupid crush on a stupid guy that never treats you how you deserve to be treated! Annie is very likely to start arguing with Chris over the smallest of things (but never addressing the actual issue in your presence, you don't need to see them at their worst like that…).

Christopher is very awkward with his words, and part of him knows he'll end up losing you for his own condescending tone and overly grumpy attitude- So he doubles down on his bad traits to try to protect himself from the inevitable. But the other part of him thinks you're just playing around, trying to provoke these reactions out of him on purpose, trying to make him jealous because you're so obsessed with him you want to see him be in your shoes for once, is that it?!

Sugar cube, you have NO idea how aggravating it is to suddenly not be in your spotlight, to be ignored without a warning. And for what- Your weird friends?! Oh it just brings out the worst in him.

In the case he gets to spend time with you even in your friend's presence (I'll use the previous scenario for example) he'll be attached to you like a bug, all those previous annoyances with your sudden touch seem to jump out of his mind- He becomes very clingy especially since your friends are very touchy.

Game Friday Night won't be the same with him there, and that goes to every other special friend time you guys may have- He isn't subtle, he doesn't know how to, but he does know how to make you feel guilty. You haven't talked with him in so long! What were you thinking?!

But of course, he won't be AS obvious about it as he doesn't mean to put the blame entirely at you, because it's not your fault, right? It's Mylo's fault, and Chris just needs to get back to the previous schedule-

Where it should be just you and him, the two dummies in their "will they won't they" FRIENDSHIP!! He just needs to take their place, you want game nights? Why not play with him in his house? His bedroom is a lot bigger than yours and Mylo's combined- But if luxury isn't the problem then maybe you'll appreciate the variety of things you two can play.

If he finds your friendships to be really taking a toll on your life (if you continue to ignore him) he might have to turn his offers from demands to orders, sugar cube! Of course he would never do anything to hurt you, but he is literally doing this for your own good, and if you continue to be so childish he might think you've been completely influenced by your friends.

Christopher is a lot more demanding and controlling than the other characters, not above being brutish with you if it means you'll actually listen to him for once! The initially petty, stubborn jealous man can turn into a controlling, raging angst if you don't be careful enough.

Kuramochi 

Even though Mochi 100% supports your relationship, he goes out of his way to piss Miyuki off

He knows when to not though, if Miyuki's having a rough time he actually goes out of his way to keep the pitchers off his back so he can have time with you

Other than Mochi, I don't think he really gets jealous, just annoyed and even with Mochi it's more annoyance

Unless he sees someone he really, and I mean really, thinks is a better match for you

I mean, we saw how awful his first bit as captain was because he wasn't sure he was good enough (if I'm remembering right)

Now put those same feelings into a relationship where he knows you can walk out whenever

I could see that insecurity turning into jealousy, and he'd probably try and shut you out cause god knows that boy doesn't like to discuss his feelings

Hear me out, I imagine that he was a bit jealous of the team right after his injury

I mean, you tell him to take his time and heal up and you visit him in the hospital while he's there but then he has to catch up with school and he has physio and it's a whole mess

So he's probably a bit jealous of how much time they get to spend with you

But I don't really see Chris getting jealous 

Oo! I just had a thought- Mochi totally dared Sawamura to ask you out/flirt with you in front of Chris

Of course Chris caught on quickly and just found it amusing

He’s not going to straight up tell anyone, but he’s not really hiding it either

Not a big fan of sharing you with others, mostly likes one on one time with you

Haruichi

How he reacts to you as his crush depends on when you meet him

If it’s in his 1st year, he’ll probably be a little shy, hesitant to talk to you

But if it’s during his second year, or even the later part of his 1st year, he’s not so shy

He’ll approach you, start conversations, make jokes and being overall charming

This man is suddenly a comedian when you are around, and sometimes Sawamura falls victim to being the butt of his jokes

Like his brother, likes to get alone time with you, but tries to be a bit more subtle about it

“I was having trouble with this one concept, maybe you could help me understand it better after practice?”

Regardless of grade level, will always be embarrassed when someone points out his crush

Mans is ready to fight someone with a full pink face

Like yes we all know who he likes, you just don’t need to point it out when they’re right there

What do you mean he’s showing off just because you’re watching, he always plays like this??

He’s just always there for you, and makes you feel really good

Just acts like a normal fucking person around you

At first, it’s hard to tell if he has feelings for you or he’s just being nice

It would become clearer with time

He’ll try to start dropping hints that he’s interested and see what you do in response

If someone brings up his crush, he’ll just admit it, he’s not ashamed of it

Is just very kind and always willing to help you, whether is

He’s not very talkative usually, but when he’s with you he makes sure to talk enough so you won’t get bored of him

Doesn’t need a reason to talk to you, would walk up to you and talk

Already has a hard enough time speaking in front of people

But you, that’s a whole different obstacle

At first, mans cannot even speak to you

The best he can do is stand next to you and grin nervously and maybe let out a few nervous laughs but he has been told that his laugh isn’t exactly attractive

And whoever said that is wrong because his laughter is cute 🥺

Most of his first few advances were actually just his teammates talking to you for him while he stands there

He will eventually be able to talk to you with the encouragement of his teammates

It could speed up the process if you go to one of his games and see the “other side” of him, especially if you catch him after the game and the adrenaline high is still affecting him

He’d probably greet you and talk to you without noticing for a bit before remembering himself and shrinking back into his quiet self, but now that you’ve seen it, he’s a bit more confident in front of you

Since words aren’t his strong suit, he may try giving you things, just small things like drinks and snacks from the vending machine 

Just gets really blushy in front of you and can’t stop smiling whenever you speak to him

Will think about you and baseball 24/7

Swears that he can swing the bat even harder when you watch him

Sanada

We all know this man is a flirt

And boy does he flirt with you

But he kinda does that with everyone so it’s hard for you to know that his feelings for you are any deeper, and he’s aware of this

So he makes time for you, hangs around you, goes to your class during breaks just to bother you

He asks you a lot of questions to get you to speak more than him

Probably offers to walk you home to try to show that it’s you that he likes and not anyone else

If another guy gives you attention, he WILL get in the way

“Oh this Saturday, (y/n) is busy. They’re coming to my game. Right (y/n)? See, sorry, maybe another time.”

“Oh by the way, I think you should come to my game, and maybe after we get something to eat.” He says to you after the guy leaves.

If you were talking to another guy, he could probably just walk up, sit beside you and start rolling up his shirt sleeves to expose his forearms and you’re distracted

He knows he’s attractive, and knows how to use it

Likes to sling his arm over your shoulder and pull you into him

He’s around you so much most people probably assume you two are together before he ever asks you out

What Matters - Chris Evans x Reader

This is my first time (i think) writing for Chris Evans so I’m so sorry if he seems ooc I’m trying my best :’)

The blanket that you were in wrapped around your entire body, enveloping you so that you were just a shapeless lump on the couch. The entire room was flooded with darkness, save for the television screen that currently displayed Captain America: The First Avenger. Chris wasn’t due home for another few months, promotions for Avengers: Endgame still going on. You wanted to at least see the face of your beloved as Steve Rogers on a tv screen if you couldn’t see him in real life.

The tears streamed down your face as Steve and Bucky tried to get across the scaffolding in the burning base. You knew that everyone came out unscathed, but the tension of the scene and the suspense as Steve backed up and launched himself across the fiery pit made your eyes sting. The noise of the action scene concealed the sound of the door opening and a figure slipping inside, lugging a suitcase behind it.

Chris walked fully into the living room, concealing a laugh that tried to slip from his lips at the sight of you in your blanket cocoon, staring as though your eyes were glued to the screen. He crept up behind the couch, positioning his mouth right next to your ear as fire seemed to consume the screen, whispering a soft, ‘boo’ and cackling as you screamed, tumbling off of the couch and landing beside the coffee table. You scrambled for the nearest weapon, lucking out with the fireplace poker and turned to face the intruder.

The poker fell out of your hand with a soft thump as you recognized the man standing behind the couch. You flailed around in the blanket, trying to untangle yourself to get to Chris faster. You finally managed to free your legs, hopping up and launching yourself at him, wrapping your arms and legs around him as he caught you.

“Babe! I thought you weren’t supposed to be back for a few more months! What happened?! Oh god, did you get hurt-” Chris cut off your rambling with a firm kiss, resting his forehead against yours as he pulled away.

“I’m not hurt. I’m hurt that you wanted to stab me with the fireplace poker, but I’m not physically hurt.”

“You snuck up behind me, whispered boo in my ear, and you weren’t supposed to be home for months. What was I supposed to do, let myself get murdered?”

“What murderer is gonna come up behind you and whisper boo?”

“Don’t test me.”

Chris chuckled, resting his forehead on yours again. Only then did he register the sticky texture of your cheeks, frowning and pulling away to wipe a hand under your eyes.

“Were you crying?”

“Yeah.”

“What happened?”

“I missed you, I missed you a lot.”

He gave you a sad smile, and you knew that he was internally blaming himself for you being upset. But, you were insanely proud that Chris was able to do something that he loved, and you didn’t control him. You smiled back, a genuine one, staring into his eyes.

“But you’re here now, and that’s what matters.”

Bookshelf Briefs 6/8/20

Ace of the Diamond, Vol. 26 | By Yuji Terajima | Kodansha Comics (digital only) – The fall season has begun! Furuya is wearing the ace number and dominates the first game, much to Eijun’s distress, since he’s still suffering from “the yips” after striking a batter with an inside pitch. Thankfully, Miyuki and Coach Kataoka arrange for Chris to drop by and teach Eijun a new trick, which seems to help get him out of his doldrums. Meanwhile, Furuya’s performance begins to deteriorate, rumors about Coach Kataoka’s imminent departure begin to circulate, and the guy who’s been observing them (but who is probably Kataoka’s replacement) plans to focus solely on cultivating Furuya the ace and objects to how much time and effort Kataoka devotes to the other players. I mean, I can only assume that this guy is going to get sent packing at some point, but I definitely appreciate that Terajima-sensei is able to make me this anxious about his presence. Perennially recommended. – Michelle Smith

A Certain Scientific Railgun: Astral Buddy, Vol. 3 | By Kazuma Kamachi, Yasuhito Nogi, and Kiyotaka Haimura | Seven Seas – The first half of this volume is a giant flashback, and you know those are always bad in the Indexverse. Expect dead kids, dead adults, and a whooooooole lot of evil science. Unfortunately, there’s also a lot here that relies on the reader knowing one of the antagonists is from New Testament Vol. 11… which we have not seen in English, and might never see. Too much continuity. Junko continues to be laughably retroactively strong, going toe to toe with a level 5 here. And there’s the bond between her and Misaki, which may be “master and servant” but is also a close friendship (and yuri tease, as Misaki herself demonstrates). Railgun fans will like this. – Sean Gaffney

The Girl from the Other Side: Siúil, a Rún, Vol. 8 | By Nagabe | Seven Seas – The eighth volume of The Girl from the Other Side is unbearably sad—so much so that I struggled to finish it, as watching Shiva come to terms with losing Teacher is a shattering experience. Compounding my sense of anguish were the final chapters, in which we learn why the Inside world was so desperately interested in Shiva. The parallels between her situation and our current health crisis are impossible to ignore, reminding us about the human cost of capitulating to fear, ignorance, and superstition in the face of a pandemic. In a less fraught moment, I’d be inclined to recommend The Girl from the Other Side for the lessons it imparts, but I think it’s OK to decide that Nagabe’s allegory is a little too on-the-nose to offer insight or comfort right now. – Katherine Dacey

Go with the Clouds, North-by-Northwest, Vol. 3 | By Aki Irie | Vertical Comics – After two messy but interesting volumes that see-sawed between mystery and travelogue, Go with the Clouds, North-by-Northwest finds its groove in volume three. Michitaka—who disappeared from the previous volume—takes center stage in the latest installment, as Kei inadvertently stumbles across some important clues about what happened to his aunt and uncle back in Japan. Though Kei’s discovery propels the story in a new and unexpected direction, the latest plot twists feel earned; the sometimes awkward shifts in tone and genre that characterized the first two volumes are smoothed over by new revelations about Michitaka, and a new sense of urgency about solving the trail of gruesome deaths he’s left behind. The result is a compelling story that has the trappings of a Scandinavian crime show but the soul of an X-Files episode. Recommended. – Katherine Dacey

Kakushigoto: My Dad’s Secret Ambition, Vol. 3 | By Kouji Kumeta | Kodansha Comics (digital only) – Whereas Zetsubou-sensei made a point to seemingly attack everything in the world for leaving the author (and, by extension, Nozomu) in despair, Kakushigoto is zeroing in on the manga profession in particular. Here we get mysteries answered, such as why are the pages of weekly magazines colored differently, who determines the order the stories go in, and what is the exact nature of a deadline? We don’t get real answers for any of these, as it turns out things are very fluid. As for Hime, she’s still cute, and still investigating things with her not-Zetsubou girls mystery club. And there’s still that flashforward threatening us with the death of Hime’s father. Will the series get that dark? – Sean Gaffney

The Misfit of Demon King Academy: History’s Strongest Demon King Reincarnates and Goes to School with His Descendants, Vol. 1 | By Shu, Kayaharuka, and Yoshinori Shizuma | Square Enix – This isn’t my usual fare, but I hoped it would help with my Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun withdrawal. And it actually did! Anoth Voldigord was the all-powerful demon king, but sacrificed himself to end a perpetual war with humanity, pledging to reincarnate in 2000 years. When he does so, he’s invited to a school attendend by his many descendants but nobody believes he’s who he says he is because his magic is too vast to be measured and all of the facts about his reign have been distorted or forgotten over time. Anoth isn’t too likable at first, but the fact that his smug announcements of superiority garner no reaction, his jokes fall flat, and he must deal with a pair of doting and dimwitted human parents all help to humble him a bit. I guess it sometimes pays to venture out of your comfort zone! – Michelle Smith

My Senpai Is Annoying, Vol. 1 | By Shiromanta | Seven Seas – Thankfully, the senpai is not annoying in the way that I feared—this is all on her. Futaba is a new OL at a company who is so short she looks about twelve years old. She also has a near-terminal case of tsundere. This mostly comes out when around Harumi, her senpai at the company, who is huge, nice, helps her with her work and occasionally lightly teases her, and she is absolutely not ready to deal with it. This manga has one joke—Futaba is embarrassed and gets mad to hide it—and if you like that joke, it can be fun. It’s also based on a webcomic, with most “chapters” being about two pages. Towards the end, there’s longer original content, and that works much better. Recommended for those who like 4-komas and tsunderes. – Sean Gaffney

New Game!, Vol. 9 | By Shotaro Tokuno | Seven Seas – You got the sense that Kou wasn’t going to stay in France forever, and sure enough, she’s back by the end of this volume. There’s some nice stories here about not-quite-rivalries between her and Aoba’s friend Hotaru, and of course the inevitable yuri tease between Kou and Rin, which will never rise above a certain level but that level is pretty damn high. Other than that, a big part of this volume features the danger of farming out parts of your game to outside companies to complete, as they’re harder to control and can easily affect quality in ways that need to be fixed somehow. We also see Aoba continue to grow into her role as a real adult, even as she continues to never quite take the starring role. Cute. – Sean Gaffney

Primitive Boyfriend, Vol. 1 | By Yoshineko Kitafuku | Seven Seas – Kamigome Mito is popular with the boys at her school but feels nothing for any of them, finding them all insufficiently manly. Mito is lamenting her circumstances while working on the family farm, when she suddenly receives a visit from Spica, Goddess of the Harvest. Mito’s hard work has not gone unnoticed and as a reward, Spica sends her back in time 2.5 million years to meet her soulmate, a member of the species Australopithecus Garhi. He takes care of Mito, she falls for him, and when she’s sent home just as his life is in peril, she’s desperate to return. It’s pretty fun, I guess, if you don’t let yourself get bogged down in the realities of how their relationship will never work. Thankfully, it’s also only three volumes long. It’s short, it’s unique, and thus I will keep reading to see how it all plays out. – Michelle Smith

Species Domain, Vol. 8 | By Noro Shunsuke | Seven Seas – The series has now reached the Culture Festival, and seems like it might slowly be gliding to an ending, which in a series like this means pairing up more people. The “joke” confession that wasn’t in the last volume gets revisited here, with much embarrassment all around. Kazamori’s desperation for other girls to be attracted to Ohki may end up getting her in trouble down the road. Mikasagi explains why he isn’t ready to commit to anything, etc. There’s also an extended bathhouse scene, for those who like fanservice, which includes discussion about where Mizuno should be, on the men’s or women’s side. Again, I appreciate the care they’re taking with this character. Fun. – Sean Gaffney

The Way of the Househusband, Vol. 3 | By Kousuke Oono | Viz Media -As I have said in previous reviews, you read this series for its one gag, and should not expect more than that one gag done extremely well. Beyond that, here we see that our househusband is not the only former yakuza trying to make a living doing mundane everyday things, and that it’s much easier to change what you do than how you act. We also see why he’s such a good husband, manipulating things a bit so that his wife can meet some live action Pretty Cure actors (or rather the non-copyright violating Pretty Cure knockoff). That said, I think it’s Santa’s appearance that is absolutely the highlight of the volume, along with the stunned reaction of all the children. Hilarious. – Sean Gaffney

Begging for Kisses

His hands traveled down to the small of your back, pulling you into him. He leaned forward, tilting his head slightly before pausing.

“Can I kiss you?”

“Yes, of course.” You grinned. His lips pressed onto yours firmly.

Chris always did this. He always asked for your permission before kissing you. But even so, managed to surprise you with them. He would ask so politely before laying the most passionate kiss on you.

After about the fifth time he did this, you told him he didn’t need to ask, but he responded with: “I want to make sure you’re alright with it. I don’t want to make you uncomfortable.”

“You’d never make me uncomfortable.”

“Just have to be sure.”

After a while, some of his questions would become nonverbal. He’d tap his lips and raise his eyebrows to ask and you’d agree with a nod.

Only after a couple of months did he start lessening his asking.

After pulling away from a deep kiss you gasped. “You didn’t ask to kiss me!”

“I’m sorry, with the way you were looking at me I just assumed-“

“No, it’s fine! I just realized that’s the first time you’ve ever done that.”

“Do you prefer that?”

You had to think about it before responding. “Not, necessarily. It was nice, because I didn’t expect it. But I also do like when you ask. Makes me feel like you really care about me and how I’m feeling.”

He smiled softly at you, brushing hair behind your ear. “I’ll do both then. To keep you on your toes.”

He began to lean in again but paused right before your lips touched. His breath reached your lips and you waited in anticipation.

“May I kiss you?”

Even after doing this a thousand times, he still was able to leave you breathless. His handsome face so close to yours, eyes staring into yours. You almost forgot to speak. “Yes.”

As his lips pressed against your his hand moved to your chin to tilt your head for a better angle. His hand moved up to your check and stroked your cheek gently as he deepened the kiss.

Your hands slid up his arms and into his hair. In return his free hand moved into your hair.

When you finally pulled back Chris spoke again. “Should we move this somewhere else.”

“Mhm.” You hummed in agreement.

You and Isashiki had come to a stalemate when it came to the development of your relationship

You knew from an anonymous source Miyuki that he liked you back

But he refused to make the first move

You thought you might just give him a little nudge

Or maybe push him off a cliff

When you and him took an overnight trip to see professional baseball game, you saw an opportunity arise

You suggested that the two of you share a hotel room, he agreed, you offered to book the hotel

“Why- why’s there only one bed?”

“Oh no, there must have been a mix up~” You tell him.

He blinked at you. “We should go tell them then.”

“But we probably only paid for a room with one bed, plus I’m so tired and it’d be such a hassle to switch rooms.”

You hadn’t seen him so nervous since the two of you met as first years

“I’ll just sleep on the floor then…” Isashiki responded.

“No no! They won’t be comfortable! It’s a big bed, it will fit both of us easily!”

“But- but…”

“Do you have a problem with sharing a bed with me?” You pried.

“No! Not- no! It’s just…”

“Just what?” You asked nearing his face. It was bright red by this point.

“You legally have to tell more or you sleep outside.”

“I can’t share a bed with you because I wouldn’t be able to stop my mind from wandering…” Isashiki sighs and covers his eyes.

“Wandering? What would you be thinking about…?” You lean in and whisper on his ear. “Me, touching you?”

“No! Just like! Holding you in my arms or maybe.. Nothing perverted! I wouldn’t do that to you!”

“You wouldn’t?”

“Not unless you wanted me to!”

“I would.”

“…I think I need a second” Isashiki turns and went into the bathroom, closing the door behind him.

You heard him speaking quietly and pressed your ear up to the door.

“Tetsu, I need your help. I think she’s trying to tell me something but i think I may also be delusional.”

You couldn’t hold back your laugh

“She heard me!!!”

“What I’m trying to tell you is that I like you.” You say through the door.

“You do?”

“Yes, now just share a bed with me.”

“…Okay. I like you too by the way…”

Once the two of you are finally ready for bed, you slip under the covers with him and lean onto his shoulder. He goes as stiff as a board but still puts his arm around you.

By the next morning you were completely trapped in his arms and pressed into his chest.

Chris

“We only have one room left.”

“We’ll take whatever room you have!”

It was late, and the two of you were just dead tried and cold. Desperate for somewhere to rest.

But that lead you to a room that only had one queen sized mattress.

“Well, I can’t let you sleep on the floor, my father raised me better than that.”

“Sure, but I can’t let you sleep on the floor either. It can’t be good for your shoulder.”

“Whatever will we do?” Chris and looking at you, a slight smile creeping up on his face.

You gasped in false scandal. “You couldn’t be suggesting…”

“Oh but I am.”

“Chris Yuu Takigawa! You rascal!” You giggle as you fall back onto the bed.

“Rascal huh?” He asks as he leans down over you.

“Yes a rascal, a scoundrel!!” You lean up to meet his lips.

“Says the one who booked the hotel room with a single bed.”

“Yes but you’re the one with an innocent person pinned underneath them.”

“Don’t act like you weren’t enticing me.” He leans down and kisses you again.

He lets himself collapse on top of you.

“Yuu, I really need to wash my face. And you’re heavy.”

“But you’re so warm. And I’m tired.”

“I’ll be right back.” He huffs and rolls off you.

When you come back he’s already under the covers. When you join him he pulls you closer and tucks your head under his chin. You sleep feeling as if the two of you fit together perfectly.

Kuramochi

You never really asked for his help but he mostly weaseled himself into your love life

“So when do you plan on confessing to Kuramochi?” Miyuki asked as he popped up next to you

“What? How did you even know that I liked him?!”

“Wait, you actually do?” He did very little to contain his laughter. “That’s hilarious!”

“Stop laughing, please.” You said turning to walk away from him.

“Wait, wait. Now that I know, I can help you. I’m his only friend. I know like everything about him.” You rolled your eyes.

“What’s his favorite color?”

“…”

“😐” what did you honestly expect

“I know other things, like how he definitely has a thing for you.”

“Really?”

“Well he’s never explicitly said it-“

“You are literally useless.”

Right as you got the words out Kuramochi approached the two of you

With a slight frown he spoke, “Didn’t know you two were so close.”

Miyuki grinned and slung an arm across your shoulders, “What of course we’re close, we’ve been friends since we were 1st years.”

Kuramochi looked at Miyuki with narrowed eyes and Miyuki smirked back

“Well I have a game to analyze so I’ll have to take my leave.” Miyuki not-so-subtly pushed you in the direction of Kuramochi as he left

On his way out he took notice of the slight blush on both of your faces and the change of demeanor in his friend as helped steady you

It would only require a few nudges from him to get you two on the right track

Chris

“You came to practice today, senpai!” Sawamura exclaimed as he joined your side.

“Yeah, I told you I’d be there.”

“But you were just staring at Chris-senpai the whole time!”

“I-what-I wasn’t- don’t say that so loud!!” You shoved two hands over his mouth.

“Don’t worry, I understand. Chris-senpai can be quite mesmerizing.” Sawamura assured you.

You couldn’t stay mad at this adorable idiot for long

“If it helps, I know that he likes you back!”

You almost lost your balance in your excitement. “He does??”

“He hasn’t said anything but he keeps asking me questions about you, why you come to practice, how I know you, why we’re so close. Harucchi said that he asks too many questions to not be interested.”

So Haruichi was actually the one that made that assumption, it honestly made you feel a little better about it instead of Sawamura who could be a little dense in certain situations

“Now I just need to find a reason to talk to him.”

“Well here he comes right now!”

“What-“ Just as he said, Chris was walking towards the two of you.

“Sawamura, after you finish your workouts today, I have a few drills for you to do to help with your control over your moving fastball.” Chris spoke to Sawamura. “Oh, (y/n). Are you going to be at practice today?”

“Oh, yes! I will. I hope to see some nice pitches from Sawamura today.”

He smiled softly at you. “Likewise, I’ll see you then.”

As Chris left Sawamura gave you a side eyed grin.

“What?” You sighed.

“That was incredible! Chris-senpai was like putty in your hands!”

“I think we just witnessed something very different.”

“He smiled at you! And you could tell that if you told him you weren’t going to be at practice that you would have crushed him.”

“Whatever Sawamura, but I will be using you as help getting close to Chris.”

“Use me all you want, I am a servant to love!”

Furuya

You approached Haruichi during a free period

“You want my help, getting Furuya to like you?” Haruichi asked.

“Yes!”

“Didn’t you once say that you weren’t attracted to guys appearance but instead they’re personality?”

“Yes that was me.”

“And you like Furuya…?”

“He’s funny!” Haruichi could only stare at you blankly.

When thinking of Furuya, his shining personality or good sense of humor wasn’t s the first thing he generally thought of

Haruichi could still think of an easy way to assist you

“Well… I can definitely help you.”

“Great!”

“Yeah, just excuse me for a second.” Haruichi brushed past you.

He entered the classroom he knew Furuya would be (sleeping) in.

“Hey Furuya, remember that advice I gave you about (y/n)-chan? Yeah, just forget it. Just go after them, I think that will work for you.” Furuya nodded and laid his head back on a desk.

Furuya asked you out a few days later and you dubbed Haruichi as the “angel of love”.

Thunderstorms

The weather forecast had said it was going to rain but this was ridiculous. Lightning cracked across the sky, filling your apartment with light before thunder followed with a loud rumble. You were doing ok with it until the thunder began to shake the building.

Chris had been working late that night, so when he finally got home he found you wrapped up in a blanket on the couch, with all of the blinds shut.

He called out your name tentatively, tossing his keys and wallet on to counter. You peeked out of your blanket to see him. “Are you ok?”

You were about to respond when lighting struck again and you caved into yourself. He moved towards you, understanding the situation now.

Chris had only ever seen you like this once or twice before. He didn’t know why you feared thunderstorms so much, but he did know he wanted to help you feel safe again.

He sat down next to you, before pulling you onto his lap. He pulled you into his arms and you hid your face in his chest. He rubbed your back slowly as you shook.

“It’s ok, I’ve got you.” His voice was quiet as he spoke. “Why don’t we head to bed, it might make you feel safer.”

You nodded and kept the blanket around your shoulders as Chris guided you to the bedroom with a hand on the small of your back.

He pulled the sheets up to let you climb under them and started playing quiet music for you to listen to. He hastily got ready for bed before joining you under the covers.

Chris pulled you into his chest once again, with your back to the windows, stroking your hair slowly.

“How are you feeling angel?”

You wanted to be able to tell him that his presence made all of your fear subside but that wasn’t the truth. “Better.” Was the best you could do. But even so, his presence alone did help you feel safer. In his hands, you knew you were safe.

Chris could tell in your tone that you weren’t completely calm. Your heartbeat was going a mile a minute and refused to slow down. But he still did his best.

“Nothing’s going to hurt you.” His other hand that rested on your back began to rub back and forth. He tried to match your breathing, before gradually slowing its pace and your heartbeat joined it at a regular pace.

The storm raged on, but you just paid attention to Chris’s hands in your hair, the music that played quietly throughout the room, and his soft voice that whispered sweet things in your ears.

You hummed and turned to Sawamura. “What about you? Wanna go with me, Ei?”

Behind you Kuramochi and Miyuki shared a look.

“Sure, haven’t been to a festival since I got here.” The corners of your mouth turned upward as he grinned at you.

“So will you be wearing a yukata?” Kuramochi asked you, suddenly interested in the conversation.

“Yeah, probably.” You told him, turning your attention to him.

“Good, Sawamura and I will be waiting for you to pick him up at 7:30 from our dorm room.”

You clicked your tongue. “If you really wanna see girls in yukatas you should just go yourself.”

“You’re right, maybe I will join you.” Kuramochi pondered, putting his hand under his chin.

“No!” Sawamura said quickly. “You’re not wanted!”

Miyuki raised his eyebrows at Miyuki but said nothing. The room stayed silent until you added on, “Yeah, Mochi. You already turned down my invitation and now it’s been revoked.”

Kuramochi snickered. “Fine, fine. I won’t bother you two.” He wanted to add ‘on your date’ but felt like he may be pushing it. While he was slightly jealous of his kohai, he was also rooting for him.

“Alright, see you at 7:30… hmmm maybe 8:00, on Saturday.” You directed towards Sawamura before leaving the room.

“So Saturday is the big day, huh?” Kuramochi jeered.

“Gonna finally confess your love? The pining has been extremely embarrassing to watch.” Miyuki joined in.

Sawamura sat with his back to them, unmoving.

“Got nothing to say?”

Sawamura finally turned to them, revealing the petrified expression on his face. “I’m too nervous!”

“Wait, actually?” Kuramochi asked as he watched Sawamura hurry to his feet running to the door. “Where are you going??”

“I’ve gotta call Chris Senpai!!”

7:53 PM that Saturday, Sawamura wait patiently for you to get him from his dorm.

“You better now?” Kuramochi asked from his bed.

“Mhm, Chris Senpai said I have nothing to worry about. He said I’m naturally charming.” Sawamura grinned proudly, relaying his senpai’s words.

“I could have told you all that.”

“It’s much more genuine and reassuring coming from Chris Senpai.”

Kuramochi suddenly had a rush of aggression. “Get over here you little-“

There was a knock at the door.

Sawamura got up quickly to pull the door open, revealing you. There you were in front of him, wearing a light blue yukata.

Sawamura gasped your name. “You look absolutely beautiful!”

Kuramochi peered over the edge of his bed before giving you a thumbs up. “You look great.”

“Thanks.” You smiled brightly. “Ready to go?”

“Yep, let’s go!” Sawamura beamed. “Don’t wait up Kuramochi!”

“Wasn’t going to bastard.” Kuramochi grumbled as Sawamura slammed the door closed.

You and Sawamura ambled around the festival. At some point he offered you his arm and you graciously accepted, wrapping your hand around his arm.

“I’ll win you a fish!” He exclaimed, pointing at a stall where the only goal was to scoop a fish to take home.

“No, I don’t need a fish! Let’s just get some food and find a place to watch the fireworks.”

He agreed and you went to one of the food stalls. You bought taiyaki and he got shaved ice.

“Where do you want to watch the fireworks?” You asked him.

Sawamura looked around at the crowd of people. This would be no good for his plan. “Maybe somewhere away from all these people.”

You raised an eyebrow. “Sawamura Eijun is bothered by a crowd? Never thought I’d see the day.” You chided.

“Moments like these are better spent with only the people you care about.” Sawamura replied. You felt your face heat up at the implications.

“Ok, I think I know a spot.” You tugged his arm to signal him to follow you. “It’s a bit away from the fireworks, but we’ll still be able to see them, and I doubt anyone will be there today.”

“You really know your way around Tokyo.” Sawamura commented as you both walked further away from the festival grounds.

“Well I do have two years more of experience, living here, than you do.”

“It’s crazy that we ended up in the same place.”

You nodded. “We’re here.” You had lead him to a small park, secluded with no one around, you sat side by side on the swings.

“It’s actually not that crazy that we both ended up at Seidou.” You told him. He looked to you, waiting for you to elaborate. “When you told me that Seidou was offering you a scholarship, I signed up to take the entrance exam instantly.”

His eyes widened as if he had just been told that the earth was round for the first time.

“So, you weren’t planning on going before I told you that I might go there?”

“Nope, wasn’t even on my radar.”

He said your name firmly to gain your attention. He took a deep breath before speaking. “I-“

Just as he was about to say what was on his mind, fireworks burst into life in the night sky.

And while he was disappointed by the interruption, he couldn’t stay upset for long with the view he had in front of him. His gaze flittered back and forth between the dazzling sky, and the colored light that illuminated your face. You didn’t spare him much of a glance until the display was over.

“What were you going to say?” You were still buzzing from the happiness the fireworks gave you.

So was he. He nudged his swing closer to yours as he leaned into you. “I’m very much in love with you.” He stated firmly, wearing a face so serious so you had to take his words for exactly what they were.

Inhaling a sharp breath you said all you could. “I have loved you since we reunited at Seidou.”

And just like that, the Sawamura you were so familiar with was back, grinning back at you. He grabbed your hand, tugging you and your swing towards him, bumping it into himself.

“That makes me really happy!” He leaned into your face, only moving farther forward when you did, until your lips met. It only lasted a bit before his grin broke back out and he had to pull away. “I’ve been thinking of doing that since our first year.”

The two of you sat quietly on the swings, grinning to yourselves.

“Should we head back soon?”

“Let’s stay a little longer, I want to remember this forever.”

His hands traveled down to the small of your back, pulling you into him. He leaned forward, tilting his head slightly before pausing.

“Can I kiss you?”

“Yes, of course.” You grinned. His lips pressed onto yours firmly.

Chris always did this. He always asked for your permission before kissing you. But even so, managed to surprise you with them. He would ask so politely before laying the most passionate kiss on you.

After about the fifth time he did this, you told him he didn’t need to ask, but he responded with: “I want to make sure you’re alright with it. I don’t want to make you uncomfortable.”

“You’d never make me uncomfortable.”

“Just have to be sure.”

After a while, some of his questions would become nonverbal. He’d tap his lips and raise his eyebrows to ask and you’d agree with a nod.

Only after a couple of months did he start lessening his asking.

After pulling away from a deep kiss you gasped. “You didn’t ask to kiss me!”

“I’m sorry, with the way you were looking at me I just assumed-“

“No, it’s fine! I just realized that’s the first time you’ve ever done that.”

“Do you prefer that?”

You had to think about it before responding. “Not, necessarily. It was nice, because I didn’t expect it. But I also do like when you ask. Makes me feel like you really care about me and how I’m feeling.”

He smiled softly at you, brushing hair behind your ear. “I’ll do both then. To keep you on your toes.”

He began to lean in again but paused right before your lips touched. His breath reached your lips and you waited in anticipation.

“May I kiss you?”

Even after doing this a thousand times, he still was able to leave you breathless. His handsome face so close to yours, eyes staring into yours. You almost forgot to speak. “Yes.”

As his lips pressed against your his hand moved to your chin to tilt your head for a better angle. His hand moved up to your check and stroked your cheek gently as he deepened the kiss.

Your hands slid up his arms and into his hair. In return his free hand moved into your hair.

When you finally pulled back Chris spoke again. “Should we move this somewhere else.”

“Mhm.” You hummed in agreement.
