One of these days on desktop im gonna post all of the poems that remind me of the brothers when theyre really going thru it compilation

Osomatsu as funeral blues

Karamatsu as getting to say i love you dad, it rains

Choromatsu as to the young that want to die

Ichimatsu as my cat is sad

Jyushimatsu as on a honey bee, drinking from a glass of wine, and which drowned therein (though yellow by anne sexton is a close second, but i feel like that's more jyushiko)

Todomatsu as pig's ancedote

I could get into exactly why but i think the poems kinda speak for themselves. Id wanna makw a real aesthetic post tho and idc to do all that tonight since mobile still only has 10 pics

#funeral blues for osomatsu is a little abstract i know but like please understand i think osomatsu would personally deconstruct the entire #universe ed edd n eddy style if his lover died. i think he'd be done. as in the fictional character wouldn't wanna perform anymore if it w #were a permanent death.#hed be fine if it were a cartoont death tho but if it didnt reset i think he'd want it all gone until they reboot osokun again #Karamatsu is that poem for a few reasons but like his inability to talk to other people or actually connect with them #and the lines about watering a catus to death and how love is violent. u can even mke the connection to dobusu if ur nasty #Choromatsu being to the young who want to die - the green is your color is one of the most striking reasons #but mostly bc i think if it werent for his delusional self defensive skills Choromatsu would struggle with suicide bc of his anxiety #we see him confront it earnestly a few times and its not very good #jyushi is a on a honey bee for a few reasons - the color association. the whimsical tone of the poem. you feel like you should be laughing #along with the meter of it when in reality its very cruel. the association with alcohol and it being a self destructive vice #when all of the brothers are alcoholics ofc but rarely imo does jyushi get any focus on his addictions #i also just really like the last few lines when thinking aboit jyushi esp bc in s1 he would go swimming in the rivers #i like to imagine the metaphor would be of him drowning in a river after a drunken stupor an the hive being his brothers #the ancedote of the pig is another one heavy in color association wait i forgor ichi #ichi is very self explanatory. he is the cat. hes described multiple times to be the most childish brother too #he struggles to fit in and is most comfortable in his own dehumanization by identifying w cats #the lines: do you like me? are we brothers? why didn't i grow up? dont leave me #mke me think of ichi #okay back to totty. heavy color association. very heavy on the futility of his situation. the eroticism of being gored by a woman #i thought having the color pink being implied (bc pink isn't a real color) and instead red being in the text it's is important for totty #bc it shows a connection to osomatsu and his deference to his eldest brother as oso's default henchman #and ofc the last two lines of: at least we remembered you were human. isnt that enough #in direct relation to the conversation in s3e5 where Ichimatsu says hes surprised Todomatsu thinks about spending his entire life alone #to which Todomatsu replied: of course i do. i'm human too.
