The Hogarth MediSpa: The Body Beautiful
Tumblr media
Kellie Lloyd Dedicated to making you look and feel fabulous, the MediSpa at the Hogarth Club combines traditional therapies with exciting new treatments in a friendly environment. And it is open to non-members… ‘Every aesthetic and beauty treatment we offer and every product we recommend and use has been scientifically tested in rigorous clinical studies,’ explains Kellie Lloyd, Practice Manager of the award-winning MediSpa at the Hogarth Club. ‘That’s why we describe our philosophy as: where beauty and science unite.’ Established at the Hogarth in 2017, the MediSpa is perhaps one of Chiswick’s ‘bestkept secrets’ in that it is open to everyone, not only Club members. Winner of the Institute for Anti-ageing Salon of the Year in 2017 and 2018, it provides a remarkable range of proven professional therapies – from botox, fillers and laser to reflexology, reiki and sports massage – in a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere. ‘Our therapists have many years’ expertise and experience in their specialised fields,’ says Kellie. ‘Most importantly, we all enjoy getting to know our clients and we’re happy to discuss specific issues and devise the most suitable bespoke treatment plans. Also, if you're considering a non-surgical procedure, our resident dermatologist, Dr Bela Horvath, is available for a complimentary consultation.’ When Colin White founded the Hogarth, one of the cornerstones of his business concept was innovation. That commitment to being at the cutting edge has continued and is perfectly reflected by the MediSpa. ‘We always aim to be at the forefront of the health and beauty industry,’ says Kellie. ‘For example, we’re one of UK's leading CoolSculpting practices. Based on over 20 years’ research, CoolSculpting is the only FDA-approved non-surgical body contouring procedure: it eliminates fat by freezing cells and the results are visible within three months. ‘Equally popular with our clients are Circadia’s Oxygen Rx facial, which breathes new life into tired, dull or acne-prone complexions, and its signature SWiCH™ Dermal Rejuvenation System, which is a very effective alternative to chemical peels for ageing or environmentally-damaged skin. ‘We also offer non-invasive LED Light Therapy and we have a state-of-the-art Alma Harmony XL Pro laser machine. Suitable for all skin types and offering long-lasting anti-ageing benefits, it delivers an all-in-one solution for total skin rejuvenation, scarring, thread veins and hair removal.’ Christmas is coming and, if you need inspiration for a present, the MediSpa has gift vouchers for individual treatments as well as indulgent pampering packages (all are available to non-members). ‘We’re proud to give the best care,’ says Kellie. ’The combination of advanced therapies, tried and tested products and a personal touch means we stand out from the crowd. If you are interested in seeing what we do, we would be delighted to give you a personal tour.’ MediSpa treatments include: Botox and Dermal fillers Mesotherapy Deep tissue massage Hot stone reflexology Laser hair removal Mole check Orthotic insolesPregnancy reflexology Chemical peels

The Hogarth Club: Making It Personal
Tumblr media
Vojin, Ambi and Giles The Hogarth Club combines high quality facilities and state-of-the-art equipment with a friendly home-away-from-home atmosphere The Hogarth Club, or the Hogarth as it is usually known, is not only a Chiswick institution but also one of the UK’s pioneering health and fitness clubs. Set in a two-acre site off Airedale Avenue, it opened in 1981 and was the brainchild of Colin White, a chartered surveyor who specialised in major health, leisure and sports developments. ‘Building a rapport with members was at the heart of Colin’s vision,’ recalls General Manager, Giles Stumpe. ‘He was brilliant at making people feel at home and we follow his example today. We use members’ names, we remember what they do and it’s why we host so many parties and social events in our bar and Crucial Café. Our philosophy is the total opposite of the “here’s your towel, there’s the gym, off you go” approach. ‘The other cornerstone of Colin’s concept for the Club was innovation. We were the first club outside the USA to install Nautilus machines in our gym and, under the management of his son Dan, we are still at the cutting edge of the health and fitness industry.’ Nowhere is that commitment better reflected than in the Club’s investment in Technogym Artis cardiovascular and resistance equipment. ‘It incorporates the latest bio-mechanical engineering and interactive technology and enables us to deliver a fantastic variety of targeted cardio, strength and functional training disciplines,’ explains Health and Fitness Manager, Vojin Soskic. ‘In addition, we offer over a 100 traditional and modern instructor-led classes each week for all ages and levels of fitness. We have a dedicated studio for HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), another for holistic classes like yoga and pilates and one that focuses on conditioning exercises, such as spin, body pump with weights, Zumba and stretchworks. ‘Participating in the classes is the best way to meet other members and our friendly, highly qualified team provides as much support as is required. We have even introduced an integrated wellness system that allows members to interact remotely with personal trainers – to check progress or ask for advice – at any time. It’s all about creating more options.’ One of the key benefits for every new member is that they receive five free sessions in the first month and one every month thereafter. ‘That includes a detailed consultation to discuss your fitness goals,’ explains Ambi Devetta, the Club’s Communications Manager. ‘It enables us to devise an individual schedule and is the perfect kickstart to getting fit.’ The quality of the health and fitness programme is matched by the Hogarth’s extensive other facilities. The 18-metre swimming pool is the perfect place to train or unwind and the spa pool (heated to 40°C), steam room and sauna have all been recently refurbished; for racquets players, there are two all-weather tennis courts (coaching is available) and a squash court; and the comprehensive range of beauty and aesthetic treatments (at the MediSpa) and therapies for the mind, body and soul (at the Hogarth Clinic) are provided by leading professionals in each field. ‘The members feel passionately about their club and, because we’re a family-owned business, not part of an anonymous chain, we can respond to feedback and make changes,’ says Giles. ‘That personal touch, together with our focus on upgrading facilities, is why we stand out from the crowd. If you are interested in seeing what the Hogarth has to offer (reduced membership rates are currently available), we would be delighted to give you a personal tour.’
