Hello hello! My first time here with yet another intrusive question about your life ahem-
You can ignore this ofcourse.
Which one of your country's traditional clothing is your favourite (assuming there is a variety and you actually like traditional clothing) ? Perhaps give me a vision of your ideal one and why??
THE WAY I RAN TO MY PINTEREST-
Ahem.
Hello there Shiho. Welcome to my inbox. It's a pleasure to see you here. 😌
Don't worry about being intrusive, i infact love talking about my love for my culture. Have a seat. 😌
*gestures you towards the couch and hands you a cup of tea*
When it comes to traditional wear, i really do love EVERYTHING!!!! AAAAAA!!!! There are soooooo many traditional wear when it comes to India, and just not that - you can style it all completely differently too!!!! You can create TOO MANY vibes with just one kind of wear sksksksks
[YOU KNOW!!!!! When we were all in the senior most batch of our school, our school had this culture of function where every girl would wear saree (and blazer for guys) and when I tell you i was absolutely bamboozled on what to wear. First of all, there's so much to choose from?!?! For blouse there's different colour, different patterns, whether i wan pattern on my blouse or not, what shape and cut do i want my blouse to be, what sleeve length...SO MUCH. AAAAAAAA 😭 and then there's saree too 😭 what cloth do i want my saree made up of, what shade, do i want it to be plain or full of designs, if designs then do i want it traditional or more of modern vibes to it. Head in hands. ]
All this to say that to choose one from all the different traditional wears is TOUGH. Every traditional wear makes me feel pretty and that's the point. More than the type of cloth, its about the design and embroidery which i find fascinating and PRETTYYYYYYYY!!!!!! [Also, the accessories are the best part of it like, HELL YEAH. GIMME THOSE BIG ASS JHUMKAS!!!!! GIMME THOSE PAYAL!!!!! GIMME THOSE ABSOLUTELY FINE AND PRETTY NECKLACES!!!!!!! GIMME THOSE BANGLES/BRACELETS!!!!! YES YOU CAN PUT GAJRA IN MY HAIR TOO!!!! RAJHHHHHHHH 🗣️🗣️]
If you feel like I might be exaggerating, you should try it yourself sometime too 😌 every Indian traditional wear would make you feel like a princess (/prince but guys don't have as much variety 😔), i can guarantee you that✨
Coming to the point, if I had to choose, my top three picks would be - Lehenga (ACK! MY FAVOURITE. I LOVE WEARING LEHENGA. GIMME. EASY TO PULL OFF AND COMPLETE PRINCESS FEELS.), saree (it's so tough to wrap around and carry though 😭, saree has to be the toughest to pull off fr 😭 but it's essentially just grace wrapped around a woman so it's worth it 😌↔️) aaaaand nothing beats a good ol' kurta 😌✨
I don't really have an ideal fit in my mind. Not yet anyways. But I can give you an idea of my aesthetic 😌
Here are a few things which you'll find me wearing at functions and festivals 🎶
Starting off with sareeeeee :3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Either silk/satin or net with a lot of ✨ sparkles✨ , i don't prefer the ones with too much border, but if it's thin/the colour combination is pretty then WHY NOT!!! I usually go with longer sleeves, as you can see. It's just very ✨chic and classy✨ wink wink
Saree is something I'm only starting to explore the territory of and I haven't even worn it much yet, so my taste will definitely evolve over the years. That's a part of why all these are comparatively a lot more simple, the saree i mean. I'll need some experience before I can pull off the mature ones with more workings!!
Next up is kurta ~
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Slay. 😌
Best part about kurta(s) is that THERE'S SO MUCH VARIETYYYY!!!! SO MANY VIBES THAN I CAN CHOSE FROM!!!!! And it's SO SO easy to pull off too?!?!? CHEF KISS.
I specially love the ones with Chikankari for more casual settings because HELLO?!?!? IT'S GORGEOUS. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. sniffle i also love myself some nice workings on my kurta😌, absolutely ✨IMMACULATE ✨
okay okay now the last one is 💖GHAGRA/LEHENGA the beloved💖
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love myself the gujrati style lehengas too but you only mostly wear it in navratri, so here's the one i would wear on usual basis in functions etc. 😌
That's it for now, my friend. Now it's your turn to answer the same 🥳

Indian weddings are a symphony of colors, traditions, and celebrations that bring families and friends together. Amidst the grandeur, choosing the perfect outfit can seem daunting, especially when you're attending ceremonies like the Haldi. In this blog, we'll explore why Indian designer clothes in Bangalore are the perfect choice for any occasion, along with some tips on what to wear to a Haldi ceremony as a guest.
Why Choose Indian Designer Clothes in Bangalore?
Indian designer wear is more than just clothing; it’s an expression of cultural heritage and personal style. When in Bangalore, you’ll find an array of options that cater to every occasion, be it a wedding, a festival, or an intimate family gathering. Here are some reasons why Indian designer clothes in Bangalore stand out:
1. Diverse Styles for Every Occasion
From elegant sarees and lehengas to stylish kurta sets and Indo-western outfits, Bangalore’s designer boutiques offer diverse collections. At Indralokk, we specialize in curating traditional attire that appeals to modern sensibilities while retaining the charm of Indian craftsmanship.
2. Unmatched Quality and Craftsmanship
Indian designers are known for their attention to detail, using high-quality fabrics, intricate embroidery, and traditional techniques like zari, gota patti, and chikankari. Indralokk ensures every piece is a masterpiece, reflecting the rich heritage of Indian design.
3. Personalized Shopping Experience
Finding the right fit and style is crucial, especially for special occasions. Our team at Indralokk provides personalized consultations to help you choose an outfit that compliments your personality and meets your requirements.
What to Wear to a Haldi Ceremony as a Guest
The Haldi ceremony is a joyful pre-wedding ritual where family and friends apply turmeric paste to the bride and groom. It’s an occasion full of laughter, music, and vibrant colors, and your outfit should reflect this festive vibe. Here’s a guide to help you decide what to wear to a Haldi ceremony as a guest :
1. Go Yellow, the Color of Haldi
Yellow is the traditional color of Haldi, symbolizing happiness and prosperity. Opt for outfits like yellow sarees, Anarkali suits, or lehenga cholis with subtle embroidery. For men, a yellow kurta with white or beige churidar is a classic choice.
2. Comfort is Key
Since Haldi ceremonies often involve playful smearing of turmeric, it’s essential to choose comfortable and breathable fabrics like cotton, chiffon, or georgette. At Indralokk, we offer lightweight Indian designer clothes in Bangalore that allow you to enjoy the festivities without compromising style.
3. Experiment with Fusion Wear
If you’re wondering what to wear to a Haldi ceremony as a guest, consider fusion wear for a contemporary twist. Pair a crop top with a flowy skirt or style a dhoti with a chic jacket. These outfits not only stand out but also keep you at ease during the celebrations.
4. Accessorize Wisely
Add a touch of glam with statement earrings, floral jewelry, or a delicate maang tikka. Avoid heavy necklaces or cumbersome accessories that can get stained with turmeric. For men, a simple pocket square or a floral brooch can elevate the look.

How to Style Your Haldi Outfit
Now that you know what to wear to a Haldi ceremony as a guest, let’s dive into some styling tips to make your outfit stand out:
1. Play with Prints
Floral and paisley prints add a playful vibe to your Haldi outfit. Choose printed kurtas, sarees, or lehengas to keep your look vibrant yet classy.
2. Add Layers
Layering can enhance your outfit’s appeal. For example, pair a plain yellow kurta with a colorful embroidered jacket or add a lightweight dupatta with mirror work to your lehenga.
3. Minimalist Makeup
Opt for a dewy, natural look with minimal makeup. Highlight your eyes with kajal and keep your lips in soft shades of pink or nude. Avoid heavy foundation as it might get smudged during the ceremony.

The Legacy of Embroidery in Indian Culture
Embroidery has been a part of Indian culture for centuries, an art form that has evolved through time while remaining deeply rooted in tradition. From the intricate zardozi work of Mughal-era India to the more region-specific styles like Phulkari, Chikankari, and Kutch embroidery, the country boasts a rich heritage of needlework. Our collection of embroidered lehengas taps into this diverse history, combining traditional methods with innovative designs to create pieces that are timeless yet modern.
What sets Bella Signora apart is the commitment to preserving the artistry of embroidery while catering to the tastes of the modern woman. We recognize that today’s women want to honor their heritage while also embracing current trends. This delicate balance is reflected in every embroidered lehenga in our collection.

Whether you are attending a wedding, a festive occasion, or a special event, our embroidered lehengas are designed to make you the center of attention. The richness of the embroidery combined with the luxurious fabrics ensures that each lehenga is a statement piece. At Bella Signora, we understand that no two events are alike, and neither should your attire be. That’s why we offer a wide variety of styles, colors, and embroidery techniques to choose from, ensuring that there is something for every occasion and every woman.
Imagine walking into a wedding reception wearing an intricately embroidered lehenga in deep maroon or royal blue, the delicate gold threadwork shimmering under the lights. Or perhaps a lighter, pastel-colored lehenga adorned with floral embroidery for a day-time festive event. Whatever the occasion, our embroidered lehengas ensure you not only look your best but feel your best, with each piece designed for comfort as much as style.
Designed with the Modern Woman in Mind
Our embroidered lehengas are not just beautiful to look at but are also designed keeping in mind the practical needs of the modern woman. We understand that while aesthetics are important, comfort is key, especially when wearing a garment for extended periods. At Bella Signora, we use only the finest fabrics, ensuring that every lehenga drapes perfectly and feels light on the skin. The embroidery, while detailed and intricate, is done in such a way that it doesn’t weigh the fabric down, allowing for ease of movement and comfort throughout the day or night.
Moreover, each lehenga is tailored to offer a perfect fit. We believe that a garment can only truly shine when it fits well, enhancing the wearer’s natural beauty and confidence. That’s why we take special care to offer customized fittings, ensuring that your embroidered lehenga is not just a beautiful outfit but one that feels like it was made just for you.
The Embroidery Techniques that Make Us Unique
At Bella Signora, we are passionate about the craftsmanship behind each embroidered lehenga. Our collection features a variety of embroidery styles, each with its own unique charm and history. From the opulence of zardozi to the delicate beauty of aari work, we incorporate a range of techniques to cater to different tastes and preferences.
Zardozi Embroidery: This form of embroidery uses gold and silver threads to create rich, ornate designs. Zardozi is a hallmark of luxury, often used in bridal lehengas to give the attire a royal touch.
Aari Embroidery: Known for its intricate, chain-stitch patterns, aari embroidery creates beautiful, detailed motifs, often floral, that are perfect for adding a touch of femininity and grace to any lehenga.
Mirror Work: Originating from Rajasthan and Gujarat, mirror work embroidery adds a playful, shimmering effect to lehengas, making them ideal for festive occasions. The tiny mirrors reflect light, adding sparkle and movement to the garment.
Phulkari: This embroidery style, which hails from Punjab, involves vivid threadwork that forms floral patterns. Phulkari is perfect for those looking to add a splash of color and tradition to their look.
