omg what if you’re like a peds surgeon ((like arizona robbins from grey’s)) and you’ve got a pregnant mom who’s in dire need of heart surgery or some shit so of course Cal’s on the case but since she’s your patient you’re in the OR too esp bc you’re monitoring the baby and making sure the baby stays in bc maybe it’s too premature to be born just now. and maybe this is one of the first times you’re sharing a patient with the cardio god, only ever interacting with him briefly during meetings and in the attendings lounge. and then maybe during surgery things get complicated and to save the mom Cal’s telling you to take out the baby ((idk how surgery works we’re just winging it y’all)) and you’re telling him how the baby won’t survive & y’all deadass get in a heated argument in the OR with everyone else watching along lowkey scared bc Dr. Hood isn’t someone you wanna piss off but apparently you aren’t either. but the mom is dying and you have no choice but to deliver the baby and fortunately it all goes well at the end like both mom & baby survive & while you and Cal are scrubbing out and washing your hands & arms you’re still arguing bc you’re mad he yelled at you in front of everyone and he’s mad that you did the same thing and you’re arguing about the case and you’re both heated and frustrated and all of a sudden all either of you wanna do is take the other to the nearest on call room and fuck all that frustration out WHOOPS
