It's been one year already?!?! 😭😭

My beloved Cherry Liqueur is the first story I ever wrote fully in English and after a very long break from writing in general (let's say around 7 years!)

It was inspired by a wonderful perfume (Vicebomb by Simone Andreoli) that has become my favourite evening perfume (I have just ran out of a 100 ml bottle). It has notes of cherry and vanilla and it's a very sensual perfume, that's why it gave me the idea of cherry liqueur and vanilla ice-cream to go with it.

I really love the dream-like, magical atmosphere that I managed to write somehow and I'm so grateful so many people liked it!

Dorchester

A tangy gin cocktail where the citrus is nicely balanced by the cherry liqueur, the Dorchester is a lovely cocktail to sip on a Sunday! Have a good one!

Ingredients (serves 1):

8 ice cubes

45 millilitres/1 1/2 fluid ounces (3 tablespoons) London Dry Gin

15 millilitres/1/2 fluid ounce (1 tablespoon) Maraschino Liqueur

a small lime

half a juicy pink grapefruit

Place ice cubes in a shaker. Pour Gin and Maraschino Liqueur over the ice.

Thoroughly squeeze in the juice of the whole lime. Then squeeze in about a tablespoonful grapefruit juice.

Close shaker tightly and shake energetically.

Strain into a chilled coupe glass.

Enjoy Dorchester immediately.

Black Forest Summer Pudding (Vegan)

Tonight’s libation is a Man O’ War cocktail

1 1/2 oz Old Forester BIB Rye

1 oz 1804 Grand Imperial orange liqueur

1/2 oz Dolan sweet vermouth

1/2 oz lemon juice

1 bar spoon simple syrup

Shaken with ice and strained into a coupe and garnished with a Luxardo cherry

Cake pic! Because I’m proud of that slice.

The cake itself is a bit dry bc I cooked it in a rice cooker (our new oven needs a new part) and bc I halved the syrup as to not use up all my dads cherry liqueur and then didn’t fully make up the difference with luxardo syrup. But it’s still good!! I definitely needed an extra cup of whipped cream for my sanity tho.

When it comes to fruit liqueurs, plum wine comes to mind.

This is a Rosaceae plant.

I tried soaking cherry seeds (not the pulp)

from the same Rosaceae family in white liquor.

The liqueur I drank at the peak of its flavor was unmatched.

The depth of flavor of the bubbly liqueur I had once in Nagano Prefecture.

The deliciousness of meadowsweet (herbal) liquor.

Of all the fruit varieties, Rosaceae fruits are by far the most numerous.

The joy these noble Rosaceae plants

can give people is incredible!!

Note: However, be aware that Rosaceae plants can contain amygdalin, a precursor to cyanide.

時満ち飲んだ酒は芳醇無比。

いつか長野県で飲ませてもらった

ボケ酒の味の深み。

メド―スウィート（ハーブ）の酒の美味。

果実の種類でもバラ科の果実はダントツに多い。

この高貴なバラ科植物たちが

人に与えてくれる楽しみったらない！！

注：　ただ、バラ科植物はアミグダリンという青酸前駆体を持つことがあるので注意。
