Q_1: What is the link between the co2 emissions and democracy level?

Hypothesis: The higher the level of democracy, the higher the level of co2 emissions.

Literature review:

The level of income per person is a very important indicator in the association between co2 emissions and democracy level. This is because the higher democracy level, brings more employment, and better level of life (Zhike Lv, 2018). In Accordance with recent studies, is also important consider that the benefits of democracy for climate change mitigation are limited in the presence of widespread corruption that reduces the capacity of democratic governments to reach climate targets and reduce CO2 emissions (Povitkina, 2018), And this is a limitation en development countries, and show the link between development and co2 emissions. Neverthelees, there are evidence that not always the link between democracy level and co2 emissions is equal in all contries, there are several differences and heterogeneity (Hai-You et al, 2015). This is an open challenge in academic community, and is important find new evidence that show, particularities in the link between co2 emissions and democracy levels, across the world.
