Summer Transfer Window Wishlist (Part 1/4 - Strikers)

DISCLAIMER: I’M NOT A SCOUT. I PUT THIS TOGETHER FOR FUN. THESE ARE JUST PLAYERS I KNOW ABOUT THAT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE. IT IS PURELY SUBJECTIVE. LET ME KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY OTHERS YOU WOULD WANT TO SEE US GO FOR IN THE SUMMER WINDOW. COYS.

Strikers - Kane, Llorente, Jansen, Sterling(loaned out @ Sunderland) Priority - High

We the best strikers in the world. When he isn't playing the quality drops tremendously Let's be honest Llorente isn't good enough, Jansen isn't in the plans for the future(and not good enough), and sterling hasn't played top flight minutes. Llorente’s contract is up in the summer. We should sell Jansen in the summer and see what we can get. The difficulty with finding a backup striker is that they need to be OK with not playing very much, but they also need to be good enough to step in when needed. That is why we should look for a player low to mid 20’s that would want to make the jump to a top club and learn under a great coach and world class striker.

Ante Rebic / 31 million

Age : 24

Current Team : Eintracht Frankfurt (Bundesliga)

Contract : July 2021

The front 3 of Eintracht Frankfurt are starting to turn a few heads in their direction (Haller, Jovic, and Rebic). Rebic only had 9 goal contributions in 25 appearances last year, but has 10 contributions in 14 appearances this year. Had a good world cup as well. Frankfurt bought him for only 2 million recently, but I think we would have to offer in the mid 30’s. I believe we inquired about him this summer, but nothing materialized from it.

Aleksandar Mitrovic / 22 million

Age : 24

Current Team : Fulham (Premier League)

Contract : July 2023

Guy is a tank, big and strong. Fulham most likely are not going to be staying up unless they can turn their season around. If they go down the the championship, they're going to need to offload some of their massive wage bill. Would be a great goal scorer to play in some cup games and finish off games when HK is tired.

Tammy Abraham / 10 million

Age : 21

Current Team : Chelsea (Premier League)

Contract : July 2022

He is having a good season on loan in the championship with Villa, currently joint top scorer in the league. One of Chelsea’s 40(?) players on loan. Would be a decent homegrown player for depth. I doubt Chelsea would let him go unless the offer is somewhere in the mid teen’s. Read somewhere that Wolves offered 18 million in January, but the move never happened.

Yussuf Poulsen / 20 million

Age : 24

Current Team : RB Leipzig (Bundesliga)

Contract : July 2021

Poulsen is a big guy at 6’4”, but he is pretty mobile for a big guy. Averaging a goal every other game in the Bundesliga this year. He plays up front alongside Werner in a 2 striker formation. I read somewhere that his release clause stand at 21 million.

Andrej Kramaric / 31 million

Age : 27

Current Team : Hoffenheim (Bundesliga)

Contract : July 2022

Played decent for them in the 17/18 season with 13G/8A in 34 games. So far he is at 13G/3A in 22 appearances this season. Seems as though he has done well after leaving Dinamo Zagreb a few years ago. Did a short stint with Leicester before going to Hoffenheim. Seems to have a good shot on him, decent dribbler, can score on his head every now and then.

Josh King / 15 million

Age : 27

Current Team : Bournemouth (Premier League)

Contract : July 2021

His stats aren’t super impressive over the past few years, but i think he is talented. He has played a decent amount of games for Bournemouth on the wings, but I think he contributed exponentially more playing as a striker. If Callum Wilson is sold though, he could possibly be kept to be the main man.

Maximiliano Gomez / 35 million

Age : 22

Current Team : Celta Vigo (La Liga)

Contract : July 2022

He has recently come into the light over the past year. He was bought by Celta Vigo for only 4 million last summer and it is rumored he has a release clause around 50 million. He has 9G/5A in 20 appearances this year in La Liga. Celta Vigo also have another Uruguayan striker joining the club this summer, and I don’t see them getting rid of Iago Aspas. They are in a relegation battle, and the proceeds from his sale would be huge to distribute for new players.

Honorable Mentions: Timothy Weah, Rafael Leao

TL:DR - Maxi Gomez, Josh King, Andrej Kramaric, Yussuf Poulsen, Tammy Abraham, Mitrovic, Ante Rebic. Personally would like to see Poulsen brought in for 20 million
