The actress, who is also a well-known fashionista, admitted that she adores fashion and talked openly about her love of watches and bags. The actress, who is an avid bag collector, admitted that her beloved Hermes Birkin is the most expensive bag in her extensive collection in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama.

Ameesha Patel admitted to Bollywood Hungama that she is a complete Birkins girl when discussing the “Rolls Royce” of handbags. She informed us, “If you ask me which bag is the ‘Rolls Royce’ of bags, then it’s the Birkin by Hermes. It’s the most sought after, and difficult bag to get. You can be on a waiting list for five to ten years and not even get it after that. But I didn’t have to wait very long. I was fortunate,”

Ameesha went on to describe her assortment of Birkin bags further, saying, “The one I have is a crock Birkin. Birkin on its own is very difficult to get but when it comes in exotic skin which is ostrich, lizard, snake, or crocodile skin, it’s very very hard to get. The exotic skin is the most valuable like you can buy a house in place of this bag. That’s how you know the price wise and difficulty wise it is.” She further went on to speak about the price and confessed that it is almost worth Rs. 60 to 70 lacs but added that it is cheaper than the bags that celebrities like Rihanna and Victoria Beckham own. “This bag is the most expensive. it’s a Birkin and a crock, so the price is now about Rs. 60 to 70 lakhs. The ones that Victoria Beckham and Rihanna and all have diamonds which go into millions, so this is actually very cheap compared to the bags they have but this is the most expensive bag I would have in my collection.”

She added, “This is a size 35, This is a size 30. The largest size I have is 40. So, this one is a pink Croc — it was a brighter pink earlier but through the ages it’s aged. It’s got silver hardware. Here, you can customize your hardware as per your needs. This one is a white Togo leather with gold hardware. And this one was again customized by me. I gave them pink and blue combo shades and I wanted it in matte gold finish etc. It took about a year to get made. So, I gave the Hermes store the size, the colors, the combo, the leather choice etc.”” as she continued to describe the bag.

She also admitted that owning a Birkin bag is difficult and mentioned that she has at least 16 of them. “It’s very difficult to get a Birkin. You can be whoever, whatever but to get a Birkin is hard. I think I have about 16 Birkin in all shapes, sizes, colors, collected over the years; some passed down from family like heirlooms.”

The actress also disclosed that she only purchases limited edition items and prefers handbags that are exclusive to her. “I keep them like babies like you would keep your child. All of them are cherished because if you can see none of them are run of the mill. You know all of them are limited edition. They’re not the ones that you would typically find mass produced. Even within the brand itself. And they have all been out for a particular season, are hard to get and then you don’t get them anymore.”

Income Tax on Gold: How Are Different Forms of Gold Are Taxed

It's no surprise that gold is considered the best investment option. As a result of market economic shifts over the previous year, gold prices have surged at an unprecedented rate.

With the world becoming more uncertain, gold investments have grown important as a safe refuge for guaranteed and considerable returns. Although gold is no longer linked to currencies, it remains one of the most popular investments.

Investors purchase gold to diversify their risk. The gold market, like all markets, is subject to volatility and uncertainty. Gold is an essential haven in several countries compared to other precious metals used for investment.

Depending on their financial goals, individuals and investors invest in various types of gold. It is, therefore, critical to understanding the tax implications of gold investments. Unlike in the past, when buying real gold was the only way to invest in gold, now one can choose the form of investment that best meets his needs.

Many gold investments include digital gold, real gold, derivative contracts, and paper gold.

Tax on Physical Gold Sales

Physical gold assets include gold ornaments, jewellery, coins, gold savings plans, and gold biscuits. Individuals selling actual gold would face a 20% tax rate plus a 4% cess on long-term capital gains. Short-term gold is defined as gold sold within three years of purchase, whereas long-term gold is defined as gold sold after three years.

According to your income bracket, short-term capital gains on gold transactions are added to your total gross income and taxed. On the other hand, long-term profits are subject to a 20.8 per cent tax rate and are subject to indexation. LTCG investors who own physical gold would be required to pay 20% of their gains in taxes, plus any applicable surcharge. Furthermore, there is a 4% cess on specific transactions, with indexation benefits.

The TDS rate does not apply when selling gold. However, if you pay cash for jewellery worth more than Rs 2 lakh, you will be charged a 1% TDS fee. When you buy gold jewellery, you'll have to pay a 3% Goods and Service Tax (GST) on the value of the gold plus any manufacturing costs, if any.

Tax on Digital Gold

Digital gold is treated the same as actual gold regarding capital gains taxes. Digital gold is a relatively new investment strategy that has recently gained traction.

Returns on digital gold assets held for less than 36 months are not taxed heavily. Long-term capital gains would be subject to a 20% tax rate on the entire amount, plus a surcharge and a 4% cess with indexation benefits. Paytm, Google Pay, and PhonePe are among the mobile wallets that have partnered with MMTC-PAMP or SafeGold to sell gold for as cheap as Re 1.

The amount of taxes paid by an investor, on the other hand, is determined by how long the digital gold is retained.

Tax on Paper Gold

Gold exchange-traded funds (ETFs) allow you to invest in gold without actually owning any. It's comparable to having stock in a corporation. This is the case because ETFs are dematerialized. Because the current gold price determines a gold ETF's value, any gold ETFs are treated the same as gains from selling actual gold.

Profits from gold ETFs and mutual funds are taxed the same way as profits from actual gold. SGB return, on the other hand, is subject to a distinct taxation regime. Short-term gold units are those sold within three years after purchase, and long-term gold units are sold after three years.

Short-term investors (with a holding duration of up to 36 months) would be exempt from paying direct taxes on their earnings. Instead, those profits are applied to other incomes, and the applicable slabs levy taxes.

Gold Bonds Are Subject to a Tax When They Are Sold

However, you will earn 2.5 per cent per year if you invest in national gold bonds. Interest income is classified as a different source of income and is charged as such.

Profits earned after eight years of investing in SGB are tax-free. It's also worth noting that different tax rates apply to SGB returns in the case of a premature withdrawal.

Gold Bonds must be held for at least three years to be classified as a 'Long Term Capital Asset.' Short-term gold bonds are sold within three years of when they were purchased.

At the moment of redemption, gold bonds would be exempt from capital gains tax. If you keep until they mature (8 years) and generate some long-term capital gains when redeeming the gold bonds, you will not have to pay capital gains taxes on the benefit you receive. The bond would be exempt from TDS.

Gold Derivatives are Subject to a Tax

A company's profits are taxed at 6% if its gross yearly income is less than Rs 2 crore. Gold derivatives gains can be claimed as business profits, which reduces the tax burden connected with such transactions. If the company's gross sales are less than Rs 2 crores in a particular year, 6% of the returns would be claimed as taxes.

What does your oc’s voice sound like? (Or, if you have one, what’s their voiceclaim?) Can they sing, whistle, or roll their rs? Do they have any speech impediments or notable dialects/accents?

》 during her years at the jedi temple on tython, na’mora had a fairly melodious voice that held a certain heir of mystery and light ; she was one to choose her words carefully among peers. she had a knack for getting others to talk, about their adventures outside the temple , the wars , the galaxy at large. her voice is a pleasant one to listen to, soothing. she’s the type of person to tell you something and you would believe her. it was also easy to tell what she was feeling when she spoke as joy , love, and heartbreak lived on the tip of her tongue. she could school her expressions, but her voice always gave her away and o’daakin was able to read her better than her own master at times , ‘ you speak honestly, like your hearts at the wheel. ‘

after her capture, na’mora’s voice underwent changes due to circumstances out of her control ; she doesn’t quite speak above a measured tone , very choosy with her words ( light and airy like a phantom and then harsh and biting , like her emotions are in constant flux ) and she doesn’t mince them either. what little she says keeps you on your toes, you subconsciously admit you want to hear more ( when she’s not angry ) . it holds a certain frigidity when speaking to people, her screams and yells of anguish or anger were visceral and her curses felt sharply upon skin, it’s as the force itself exacerbates her emotions and voice at times. not all is grim! na’mora still told stories, still somehow held onto bits and pieces of joy and warmth she experienced as a padawan , and relayed this joy and wonder to others captured and forced to fight. her voice, her ability to stir emotions from even the coldest of hearts is what drove the uprising that helped lead to their freedom. tdlr; sweet melodic voice has a harsh coldness to it , a bluntness and crass sense about it , underneath the surface hides a soft symphony reserved only for tender moments amongst friends or lovers.

What kind of clothes is your oc most comfortable wearing?

》 during her time in the pits she was forced to wear second rate armor until she proved she was a ‘ good investment. ‘ it was too tight, bruised her & chafed something horrible, but it was better than no armor. as time went on the cheap pieces were replaced with dura- gold and silver with royal insignias , marred by blood more often than not. after breaking free na’mora wears breathable fabrics & loose fitting robes ect. she can handle semi fitting tops and pants, but will be manageably panicked and irritated the entire time. she likes to feel the sun on her skin, and doesn’t really have a color preference , besides gold and most silver ; she has a large distaste for jewelry, bands, necklaces ect.

》 gall goídil by danheim!! i think it resembles her quite a lot! the woodwinds paint a free feeling, soft strings bring a melancholy into the mix that is forever apart of na’mora now, but in ways it’s incredibly strong and durable ,the drums like pounding of feet on the earth . ironically she is closer to the force in this hell hole than ever before, free of her teachings, free of limitations that would have seen her killed in the arena , free of guilt and self doubt , , , , idk this song just reminds me that a great beast tried to swallow her but she refused , and it can be seen in how she carries herself , speaks , moves even . would she listen to this? does this match up with the music she listens to? yeah sure! she listens to just about everything! but especially enjoys music that you feel more than you listen to , like sweet words of the force itself.

Does your oc have any interests/hobbies that they hide from everyone? Why do they hide these interests?

》 singing! she sings beautifully ! it’s nearly hypnotic. she sung to scared younglings at the temple, o’daakin when he was sick with a fever , battle weary gladiators on deaths door , sung for herself , under her breath . she just doesn’t enjoy people knowing things about her , she’s incredibly private and only sings when alone , there’s a certain vulnerability that comes with singing in front of crowds that she despises.

How does your oc see themself? How does this compare to the way other ocs see them?

》 na’mora’s view of herself use to morph constantly, worried that every little change would set her on a path to the dark side if left unmanaged. as she grew and experienced life, she realized that embracing your own faults and darkness is as essential as embracing your light ; she sees herself neutrally for the most part? she enjoys her strength and passion, her drive and all the things she achieves because of who she is , because of how well she can adapt and soothe herself and overcome. getting to this stage took days and nights of tears, self hatred & agony ; it was not an overnight process and took deep dives into her subconscious via meditation to truly release herself and try and love herself for who she is, releasing the notion that “ if this hadn’t happened i’d be THIS right now “ because that’s not what matters at this moment , it’s who she is and what she can do with that. [ there are times where she experiences bouts of intense guilt , self hatred , anger , grief at who she was though. ]
