Introduction

Hello! I'm Ishi/Canon! This is my artblog where I majorly dump my bullshit. Mostly reblogs from my other sideblogs as an archive.

I draw primarily dragons and furries, however my passions lay in background and vehicle illustrations. I also do some "anime", I guess.

There are some variances for us, but the main ways it presents are:

Group A - Pack hunters, no IRL equivalent, but seem to favor mid to large-sized mammals and distance hunting habits with a particular draw towards taking down larger targets while working as a group. The group hunting aspect is key towards what prey is a draw. Offhand that includes elk, bison, and most mid-sized ungulates.

Group B - Several coastal residents exhibit tidepool foraging habits, the desire to pry shellfish off of things and catch little saltwater crustaceans. Fish can be interesting to chase, but as far as eating goes its all about pulling things out from under rocks. Crunch crunch crunch.

Attention all meat-eating alterhumans (Especially therians!)

Could you please write in the comments what prey animals you have the urge to hunt?

This survey will help a lot with something I'm doing irl, but I don't know enough alterhumans personally to get a good enough range of data.

I don’t think I’ve met anyone else with a fiction tied identity in which eventual awareness that You were in a Story was so important.

Working with and within stories, the eventual bending and breaking of their narratives, how those change depending on where the fourth wall faces

telling vs interpreting vs acting, its the intangible made tangible via their own constants and variables - storytelling and reinterpretation can be as much refinement as it can be corruption, truly the alchemy of Ideas. these are All important things to our personal experience.

Did you know that you live under a narrative currently? Multiple! We will always exist in other people’s stories and their idea of what we should be doing wether we adhere to it or not, the 4th wall is always there, be it the media or the anons on your blog or your friends or your family or whoever works at the coffee shop on your street.

Part of you, your rich and wonderful you, will be stories you never even hear. There are dozens and dozens about us we will never find, but they are out there. Some accurate, some inaccurate, all adding into that ultimate Idea, My story. You will always be more of that than your Truth. As honest as anyone can be about themselves, as soon as your personality leaks into your retelling, you are still telling me a story that you’re trusting me to form an idea around.

We are our own Mythologies. It cannot be avoided.

Incredibly nonhuman but modeled with such intention to integrate into humanity that I honestly feel more disconnect at the insistence that my nonhumanity makes me somehow alien or that you need to feel alienated on some level to be nonhuman. I’m not! I am perfectly perceivable and understandable as a human, it is on purpose, but that is just a skin for the ease of others.

A great deal of us is for the ease of perception of others, there are some layers to this I may peel at one day for the fun of sharing.

fear vs repulsion, intention not with decay but a purposeful fermentation, understanding what turns one to the other, like a changing note

See, it's weird, because as long as no one is hostile towards me, I feel perfectly welcome amidst almost any religion. I believe there are many different experiences and many experiences that humans have just found many many different ways to explain, so as long as someone is respectful towards me I often find wide swathes of their belief sets to match with my own. Furthermore, even when they don't, I've never had a deep religious discussion with someone that didn't leave me with more to mull over in regards to my own faith, in positive and personally enriching ways! It's hard to spontaneously manifest a new POV, having people share theirs provides that food for thought And it is often, in that open love of embracing other's religions and spiritualities without declaring anyone Wrong myself, that I feel so very alienated in.
