I go by Jaeelle! At least on the internet I do. This is a One Piece blog that I made for the sole purpose of posting my fanart and fanfiction with JJK content showing up from time to time. You will also see my OCs often - especially my main character - I've had most of them for a very long time and they are a major part of me. Currently, they are in the world of One Piece while a handful are also in JJK at the moment. I will talk more of my fics a little further down!

As much as I love One Piece (despite trashing it for years and years please forgive me), it is not my only interest! I am very much into plenty of other anime (literally too many to name), video games (ranging all the way from Stardew Valley to the SoulsBorne games. Monster Hunter World, The Witcher 3, Skyrim and Fallout 3 are personal favorites), horror movies, TV shows (GOT/HOTD, The Boys, Love Death & Robots, Yellowjackets, Spartacus), comic books (I used to own a comic shop!), music, and dragons! I love, love, love dragons.

Clearly, I am very much into many fantasy tales of all medium. If there's anything to know about me, it's that I love deep-diving into lore and background for characters and worlds alike, and I hope that presents itself in my writing. And speaking of...

As I mentioned, my characters are currently in the worlds of One Piece and JJK. While I have written or posted nothing for JJK (and am unsure if I will), below is how the One Piece story has shaped itself!

ONE PIECE: WANDERING STAR - (In Progress/Unpublished for now) This is the main story! It focuses on the Captain Trio and is led by my main character, as this is her story - the classic One Piece tale of reclaiming a kingdom but take it a little darker. Lots of revenge, so much beheading, but a little wonder and romance sweetens the adventure.

BLACK STAR - (Not Started/Not Posted) If Wandering Star is dark, then this prequel story of Carmen's time in Eventide is downright gritty. Glimpses will be given in WS, but this is the brutal uncut tale, and it takes place roughly around the events of Sabaody and the Summit War.

DAMN THE STARS - (Select Scenes/Not Posted) This is Wandering Star's sequel! It's a Kid Pirate story that runs parallel to the in-anime events ranging from just before Punk Hazard to the start of Wano. Still undecided how far I wanna take the mature content in this one.

There are also anime inserts to be written for my main character! While there are some earlier mentions, her first "official" in-anime appearance would start at episode 603 and (as of today) end at episode 1112. But I'm sure there will be more to come!

So, I took a temporary hiatus from my story (link to it here: [X] )to make references for some of the characters featured.

So, top to bottom:

Desmond Ivers - Daycare Assistant/Animatronic Handler to Sun and Moon, and Security Guard. He’s the main character along with the DCA. A sweetie who is an absolute mess of a man, adores working with kids and the solar-lunar duo but has a lot of emotional baggage/trauma/issues that he’s struggling with.

Matt Sawyer - Security Guard and Asshole Galore. He’s only there for the paycheck and makes it everyone’s problem that he’s there. Thinks the animatronics are just machines, loathes Moon with a passion and used any excuse he could to shock him, insult him or otherwise employ abusive tactics at keeping Moon “under control” (which didn’t even really work.) Has a vendetta against Moon after said animatronic harmed and permanently injured a technician, Matt’s friend, due to a programming glitch. Hasn’t been featured in the story for a bit but he’ll be making a comeback eventually.

Cadence Audron - Animatronic Handler for Montgomery Gator (whom she is romantically involved with). A little punk, a little rock and roll and sweet to boot. She’s become something of a friend to Desmond in the Pizzaplex, seeing a lot of common ground with someone who got through to an animatronic that everyone else had practically written off as a hazard and help them. She’s also a voice of reassurance that yes, Desmond, it is okay to kiss the jester bots it is not the end of the world.

There’s a couple more characters that could use ref sheets, like the technician mentioned in Matt’s blurb above, but I think I’ll hold off on that and take a break to get to another couple chapters first.

The Base History of Suzume Takami

So I got back into MHA again with Season 6 making its appearance on cable t.v., and that led to me falling into a dabihawks obsession. And like many people who have squeezed these two together, I chose to ignore canon for the most part, pretend what happened in the latest chapter didn't happen, and instead gave them a child and a sort of not realistic idealistic-ish fluff life.

And so here we are.

Quick disclaimer: this is simply for fun. Opinions/headcanons on certain characters are completely my own, so if you have one different to mine than that's fine. So

I have been planning on doing a 'Base history' for a different oc, but after the said becoming obsessed with MHA and dabihawks, she kind of took over my mind and a bit of my time. With that being the case, here's the base history/character profile of my dabihawks daughter, Suzume Takami

So I came up with Suzume after hanging out with my friend at a vintage clothing fair that was happening at a mall I used to frequent. I was already deep into my dabihawks and MHA fixation and there was just something about this one outfit I saw and an animatic I was playing on repeat spurred me into creating an alternative style/fairy grunge-ish character for them with a bit of a tech wear vigilante costume with the only name coming to mind being "Punk Hazard" (which I'm keeping because I like it).

After some searching for a proper name for like, 30 minutes, I settled on Suzume and then started working on a bio and art soon after. This that bio and art is at the end.

Here we go:

Name: Suzume Takami-Todoroki Aiuchi

Name Meaning: Suzume → Sparrow

Aiuchi → Love Inside

Vigilante Name: Punk Hazard

Age: 16

Quirk: Heated Glass —> Suzume can superheat and manipulate glass to her will (a la Cinder Fall Style).

Height: 5'9

Eye color: blue/gold gradient heterochromia (?)

Hair color: Ombre → Dark brown (dyed) blonde (traditionally)

Sexuality: Pansexual (with an AFAB lean)

Personality Snapshot: Mostly cool and fun-loving, almost to the point where you would never know she was a super anxious kid back there. Does her best to be a nice person. Adventurous and reckless. Fiercely protective over those she cares about and even sometimes strangers. Excitable. Hates sitting still. Very affectionate. Strong willed. Determined. Goofy. Kinda bad at lying.

Favorite foods: yogurt covered pretzels, chicken katsu sandwiches, microwave pizza

Favorite kind of music: rock and alternative

Hobbies: plays bass guitar/acoustic guitar, sings sometimes, cooking, glass blowing, writes sheet music, partying, exploring, climbing on shit.

(Short) Bio: Suzume Takami-Todoroki, born to the former villain Dabi and Number 2 Hero Hawks, has spent a majority of her life trying to be as normal and unbothered as possible. Her fathers, concerned for what could happen to her if anyone ever found out that they ever had her in the first place, hid her under the name Suzume Aiuchi up until she was 12-years-old when she was unceremoniously forced to come out by the public, leaving her in this point in her life where she felt like she had to make a decision on which path to follow – hero or villain?

She chose neither.

Instead, Suzume attends a normal high school with little to no interest in participating in any hero courses as to fall into either of the two boxes society wants to force her into. That is until a certain incident at a club (that she snuck out to go to) that she considers forging a new path for herself in order to protect the ones she loves and maybe – just maybe – finally bring the reform that's been desperately needed in this superhuman society.

Notable Relationships:

→Hawks/Keigo Takami & Dabi/Touya Todoroki

Suzume is quite close with her fathers. As a child, she spent most of her time with Touya given Keigo's hectic hero life and the fact that it was difficult for Touya to be out without someone recognizing him as the villain Dabi, but that doesn't mean either of them were ever super absent from her life. In fact, anytime Keigo came home, he'd make it his mission to spend as much time with her as possible. She loves them both dearly and would do anything for them, but she has some complex feelings surrounding her slightly turbulent childhood in that she feels bad for feeling upset about certain situations that happened as well as the general situation of being the daughter of a very notorious A-rank villain and a hero with blood on his hands. They never made her feel this way, but she doesn't voice her issues because she doesn't want to discredit their efforts in giving her a better life than they had.

→The Todoroki Family

Suzume has a pretty good relationship with most of the Todoroki Family, being very close with her cousins (wink wink) and her uncle Shouto who babysat her on short notice whenever he could, but does not have much of a relationship with Endeavor/Enji Todoroki. Touya made it very clear that he did not want Suzume anywhere near him and swore up and down that he would never see her to the point where he didn't even know she existed until a random encounter at the supermarket brought them together, but even then she did not have much contact with him. In short, her current opinion of him is negative. She sees him as the reason her dad (Dabi) fell down the path he did and she just hates how he was to his family. Anytime they cross paths, she avoids them as much as possible.

→ Aimi Aikuchi/Cupid

Aimi Aikuchi has been Suzume's best friend since childhood. She stuck up for her after her true identity was revealed, coming to her defense anytime someone tried to start shit. She's the lead singer/bassist of their yet to be named band and a lovecore themed hero in training by the name of Cupid. They are nearly inseparable, being basically glue at the hip. They support each other despite their different career choices and oftentimes help each other out whenever they happen to be in battle together. They are each other's day ones and will always be.

→ Reina Nanami

Reina is Suzume's quirkless other best friend whom she ends school with. She is a bit louder and rebellious than Suzume, often being the one to drag the trio into trouble. She loves partying, often putting in front of school and any other important activity that demands her attention. She feels insecure being quirkless and sometimes expresses a bit of jealousy that her two best friends are super powered but she is very loyal to the both of them. She plays keyboard and sometimes the drums in her band and was actually the one who suggested Suzume pick up an instrument since she loves music so much.

→ Ghost

(Currently under development) Ghost is a mysterious young hero that Suzume meets one night as Punk Hazard and she falls head over heels for. Ghost is very flirtatious with Suzume whenever they meet. Currently, neither of them know much about each other (mostly because their story – specifically Ghost's– is underdeveloped).

One Piece Animation Thesis: Sabaody

One of my favourite arcs not only story wise but production wise! There’s a lot to talk about in this one, but it should be fun and I’ve really been looking forward to it!

Sabaody is a great small arc that is, once again, a pivotal point in the One Piece story. Seems like every arc to One Piece is important. How does Oda do it.

Kazuya Hisada continues his role as character designer for his second arc, which allowed me to find a new character sheet for Luffy in his base form and we can compare how styles and times have changed.

Luffy’s look has slowly changed throughout the series, and while watching it, it’s something that is easily not noticed, especially when binge watching. However when you take time to step back and compare designs, the differences are quite noticeable.

Early Luffy’s design had quite short legs and torso, and his features were a lot more exaggerated. His hands and feet were massive, and his hair is thinner with more individual strands of his bangs being shown. Lineart was also thicker, especially with his eye scar being somewhat thicker and more prominent compared to later designs where the line variation is practically non-existent. The straw hat also felt more flat, lacking any type of depth in the brim while also fitting his head more snuggly.

The design used for Sabaody shows Luffy to be taller than his beginner design, however not as tall and lanky as that of the Water Seven-Enies Lobby era. Less hair strands are used for his hair, reducing the number of bangs. His face remains being round, however his smile is not as prominent and exaggerated like it once was. The biggest change I think is definitely how the hat is drawn. The top of the hat doesn’t fit as snuggly as it once did, and the brim begins to have more depth. At this point, the hat is fine however in some instances it can be very overdrawn and bloated and it, quite frankly, looks so awkward and large on his head that it looks absolutely ridiculous. 

These are the designs of Luffy from the specials Episode of Nami and Episode of East Blue respectively.

However during this time, Sabaody till Impel Down is an arc that feels quite loose and is a little jarring to the rest of the series. This is definitely not a bad thing and I think is quite welcomed, especially due to One Piece being a long running anime series. Change is necessary otherwise it looks boring, stale and repetitive. That is, when it is executed properly and boy does Sabaody knock it out of the Sabaody park (Haha).  Ba Dum Tss. Yeah yeah, look Tuna forced me to put that in so thank him for that. Unfortunately, many believe this arc to be one of the ugliest because of its loose style in places. But this is something that I think greatly enhances and appropriately fits the style of One Piece and Oda’s wacky designs. 

This is a plus in my book. Having a good character designer and strong character designs allows animators to be more flexible in what they’re working with. That is why, up to this point, Baron Omatsuri was the best animated thing that Toei had produced at the time in regards to One Piece. So let’s have a look as to who shines as bright as Kizaura’s leg before striking down Zoro’s head.

Naotoshi Shida continues to show off his striking skills, especially with Rayleigh’s striking kick against Kizaru. The camera moves with the character, with incredibly smooth movement and his iconic sharp shading and effects. 

Yoshikazu Tomita shows off how powerful his hits and effects hit, making each of his scenes feel incredibly powerful.

This is the last time that Naoki Tate is this prominent in the series with his key animation. His style is absolutely incredible, having very subtle character acting showcasing the absolute terror of the situation. He continues to pop up here and there as the series goes on.

Ryo Onishi makes a great spectacle here, really portraying his character acting in this arc. You can feel exactly how each character is feeling and their thoughts all without even hearing the voices of the characters as well as music placement. 

Hiromi Ishigami makes sparse appearances throughout the series, having a similar style to Tate during this period. Subtle movements and pudgy shapes are used to make the character convey their actions.

Ken-ichi Fufisawa makes his characters feel really bouncy. Luffy feels like actual rubber in his cuts by the way he makes the arms flail when stretched. 

Kenji Kuroyanagi really knows how to turn and rotate the characters in his scenes. He also makes simple scenes look interesting, with Hancock he makes the whole body move in order for her to pull her arm up. He also knows how to make the camera follow the characters so it always feels like the scene is moving.

Centre (Tales From The Heart)

Fandom: One Piece Rating: Gen Warnings: None Characters: Heart Pirates

There was no real way to describe the sense of loss when someone so important just wasn't there anymore. It wasn't grief, not for them. He was still alive, would come back to them (because if they lost that faith, what good were they to him?), but he wasn't there. Wasn't with him.

Law hadn't been loud, but that made the silence no less deafening as they walked through their ship. If he was there, their captain would have likely been curled up with some literature somewhere, absorbing knowledge like a sponge. There would have been no extra noise that was now gone, but every time their feet took them past their captain's bedroom they'd pause, as if the sound of paper rustling would magically appear.

It never did. Law wasn't there, was stranded by his own design on an island of ice and fire because that was the next necessary step towards achieving his dream.

Sometimes, they would open the door, tip-toeing inside to see that nothing had changed since the last time they entered. The coins were still piled on the desk haphazardly, that map on Punk Hazard threatened to flutter onto the floor at the opening of the door. The bed wasn't quite made, covers pulled vaguely into alignment but not the crisp neatness of the infirmary beds because Law was meticulous about the rest of the ship but allowed himself to be ever so slightly sloppy in the sanctuary of his own room.

Most of the crew would leave it at that, feeling invasive even though Law's room had always been open for them all, no matter the time or circumstance.

Bepo took to sleeping in there, pulling his own nest of blankets and pillows from his room to pile them high on Law's floor. On the face of it, the mink appeared to be taking their captain's absence the hardest, throwing himself into navigating them safely to Zou because that was what Law had wanted him to do, even as he became quieter and quieter, despite his nakama's best efforts to keep his – and their – spirits up.

Penguin and Shachi were the most invasive, to no-one's surprise. It didn't take them long to gravitate towards Law's barely-made bed, because even though he wasn't there and the sheets were long since cold, there was still the essence of Law there. For the two now in charge of the crew, anxiously anticipating the New World's latest challenge and worrying that they wouldn't be up to the task if anything happened, Law's empty, cold bed still held comfort.

It almost felt as though the Tang herself was changed by Law's absence. Physically, there was nothing different; her engines ran at the same heat, took the same amount of fuel and propelled her through the water at the same speed. Despite that, there was a sluggish feel in the air, as if they were travelling against the tide, or against the wind. As an engine propelled submarine, neither thing should have delayed them.

From there it was a simple step to assume the Tang was well aware of her captain's absence, and was taking it as hard as any of the rest of them, even as she ploughed on with her responsibility to the crew.

"He'll be back."

Shachi was the only one that ever voiced anything, talking to empty rooms – the Tang – sometimes. To the rest of them, voicing it meant voicing that he wasn't there anymore. Law would be back, but it was easier if they never accepted that he'd gone in the first place.

Confrontation - Zack

Summary: After much thinking, Emily decides that it is time to face the past. She will meet ten people who were and are a part of her life. Is she going to find what she is looking for? Or all she will achieve is more heartbreak?

Notes: Hello, dearest readers! How have you been these last few weeks without me? You thought I abandoned you? Well, Little Miss Me is a girl of her word! I hope you enjoy this chapter tonight!

After leaving Cherryfield, Emily dropped off her rental car in Augusta and there took a plane to Chicago. As soon as she landed in O’Hare, she picked up her luggage and hailed a cab.

Her first stop was the hotel. She wanted to look fabulous for her next encounter, it would be warranted. As she put on her make-up, she noticed her deep, dark circles under her eyes.

Emily supposed she was overdoing those last few days, but she had to follow her entire itinerary before the weekend. Dorian wasn’t keen with her speaking with her former friends, and she knew he would try and keep her from doing something she felt she needed.

However, it was fair to say she shouldn’t be taking it too hard, and she vowed to herself, and to Dorian, in absentia, she would be on bedrest come Sunday. For now, though, there was nothing a good make-up wouldn’t fix.

Two hours later, she arrived at an office building by Chicago River, looking every bit like a New York Real Housewife. Walking powerfully through the hallways, she halted at a door to a corner office and knocked it.

“Come in!” The man inside commanded.

Emily took a deep breath and came in. “Hello, Zack.”

“Hello, Emily. I was expecting for you to come.” He smiled at her. “Come in, sit down.”

A little surprised, she took a seat by the man’s desk. “May I ask why you were unsurprised?”

He picked up his cellphone and made a point in showing it to her, as if she was ignorant. “We have a group on WhatsApp, for the guys at the old suite. I was suspicious when Becca said you came looking for her, James’ turn convinced me you were coming after us. I don’t know what you told him, but it really did a turn on his head. From Chris’ message, I assumed you were going geographically, so it was bound to be either mine or Kaitlyn’s turn now.”

She smirked at him. “It really damps the theatricality of it all.”

“Never took you for a drama queen.” He pointed out.

“I was an English major. Occupational hazard.” She shrugged off.

He scoffed. “If you want theatricality, you should go see Zig. I promise you there will be plenty of blood and tears.”

She shook her head. “I won’t be seeing Zig anytime soon. I’m taking this trip as a chance to try and close a chapter of my life, and Zig’s part on it was long closed. I always knew I would get only one shot with him, and that’s gone.”

“You have a terrible way to apologize.” He said, cold.

“It’s not about apologies or forgiveness, Zack. It’s about making peace with what happened. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to take this feud any further, so forgive me, don’t forgive me, I don’t care. What I do care is taking off this weight from my life.

“Speaking of which, how long has it been, Zack? How many years since we’ve last talked?”

“Civilly or otherwise?” He asked, slightly amused. “The last time ever was at Graduation. But of course, you remember, I don’t think you would forget the things that were said.”

“I ended up learning to let go of bad memories. There were so many in those last five years, I couldn’t keep track of them all.” She smiled, placidly. “Not that you’d be very interested, but I got engaged that night as well. I chose to remember that, not those preposterous accusations you threw at me.”

He laughed, bitterly. “Preposterous? If you were all that worried about what we would have said, then you shouldn’t have showed your face with Dorian and Sebastian in tow.”

“Was that the problem? Really?” She asked, with inquisitive impatience. “Because I came in arm-in-arm with Dorian, and Sebastian sat with us the entire time, and yet I was only attacked when Amara and Annisa showed up.”

“It was a dick move inviting Kaitlyn’s ex-girlfriend to the party, though.” Zack pointed out.

“Kaitlyn tore my dress with her bare hands.” Emily said, exasperated. “I got out of there with a black eye and short a few strands of hair.”

“Kaitlyn is a rabid punk rocker. What did you expect?” He used a matter-of-fact tone, which really pushed Emily’s buttons.

“I expected her to be reasonable and to understand I didn’t invite anyone. They came because they wanted to, and to my recollection, they said their congratulations to Kaitlyn first.” She said, tiredly.

“But you shouldn’t talk to them. You weren’t even supposed to show your face there. There was no-one who wanted you to.” He accused.

“Is that what you expected, Zack? For me to live in eternal penance for what I did?” She accused back. “Amara, Annisa, Madison, they were there for me when I needed them. They are my friends. I made mistakes, yes, but life goes on! I had good times, too. I was, and I am, happy, and you’ll have to live with it!”

“Yes, Emily, that’s exactly what I wanted!” He shouted, finally losing his cool. “You didn’t have the right to leave this relationship with more than we did! You did not have the right to have it all!”

She looked at him, incredulous. “Have it all? Are you fucking mad?! You made my life a living hell! And don’t go saying you got nothing out of me, because you can be sure you wouldn’t be the Delacroix top designer if I didn’t broker that deal to get you an internship.”

“But you left us!” He said, and by the face he made, he was surprised with himself by saying that.

“What fresh hell are you saying now?” She spat.

“It is true, you left. You left the house after we moved on Sophomore year.” He said, melancholically. His anger was melting into bitterness by that point. “You moved into Dorian’s apartment.”

She sighed. “I did. You know the others wanted me away, and I had caused enough grief already. Cohabitation was impossible by then. Besides, you abandoned me too. You were okay with me and Dorian that Winter, but come Spring you took their side, and I really needed a friend then.”

He breathed out and took a moment, the feelings of abandonment and betrayal catching up to him. Finally, he responded: “I needed a friend too, you know? My relationship with Grant was new, I was confused about everything that was going on around me and I felt like I didn’t know you anymore. Becca, Chris and Kaitlyn felt like the safe choice.”

“I… suppose I can understand that.” She said, taking it all in. “But what about later, like when Chris got hurt? I came back for you, I tried my very best to make it up, but after he was back on his feet, I was back being the pariah.”

“Chris said you talked about that.” He said, still bitter, but with an undertone of guilt.

“It was the main topic of conversation, yes.” She filled up, somewhat ironic. “Look, I know I’m not a saint, but I deserved more than I got back then.”

“I know, okay?! We are all sorry for that, I promise!” He said, feverishly. “It was wrong of us, but Chris was the one down, and when he pointed his finger at you, it just seemed right to follow his lead, to not contradict the sick man.”

“That doesn’t make it right, you know?” She responded, hurt.

“I know, I’m sorry. It was childish and you deserved better than that.” He apologized, and then continued: “When I read James’ book, I was kinda forced to re-evaluate my past behavior, and that Emma looked nothing like you, and my character, Rick, also seemed a bit like a dick.”

She laughed, bitterly. “He was.”

“I’m really sorry about abandoning you.” He said, earnestly. “I hope you can forgive me.”

She pulled her lips. “I will. I will, just… not right now. I’m overwhelmed.”

“You can say that again.” He muttered.

She gave him a pink envelope with his name on it. “This is yours.”

He looked at it and at her, wary. Finally, he slid it to him and opened it. Inside, there was only one sheet of paper.

What was written on it made his face go whiter than the paper.

“Is this for real?” Zack choked.

“Yes.” Emily breathed out. “Just… don’t say anything. I’m not ready to hear it, yet.”

“Yes… Okay, you’re right…” He stuttered. “I won’t be telling the others, too.”

“It would be better, they’ll know soon enough anyways.” She responded. “It’s time for me to leave.”

“Okay.” He said, still overwhelmed.

“Goodbye, Zack.”

“See you, Emily.”

That’s a good question! I think the anime which I have rewatched the most, is Tokyo Mew Mew... But as you can tell, I’m a huge fan of One Piece! And Full Metal Alchemist is great.. Oh, there’s so much to choose from!

And for the worst anime... Well, I can only choose from animes I have seen, so here’s my opinions - Hetalia (any season) and Attack on Titan! For many moral reasons on both... Well, I won’t get into it today, but not only do these shows have harmful concepts and ideas, but they are  also boring to watch!

Oh, a question about my archival blog, @oharascholar​ !! Well, let’s see.. 1,000 Cover Pages, 180 of which are colour spreads -- I think that is what you asked of me! 180 colour spreads.

So, 1,000 cover pages, and of character and model sheets, I have... Hmm.. 257 for East Blue, Another 15 cel model sheets for East Blue, 8 for the Alabaster Movie, 103 for Strong World, 70 whole cake island, 23 for Film Gold, 67 for DressRosa, 62 for Punk Hazard, and I have a few hundred which need editing.. 605 Character and Model Sheets,

1,605 files, just of Cover Pages and Model Sheets... That’s not even getting started on Locations, Promotions, Merchandise, Music, Novels, and everything else!! Well, I’ll be posting for a long while yet!

After planning each individual roles to each other, next was to produce pre-production documents. This consisted of a script, costume planning, call sheets and prop planning. My job was to produce a schedule, make sure everyone knew what they were doing and what the biggest priority was when filming was going on.

Several storyboards were created as a group, each seeming to be rather different from each other. This is because over time we developed ideas together and decided what would work best. In the first storyboard, there were many close ups and long shots in order to show the actors emotions as well as the scenery that they are in. After discussing with as a group,  we decided that some initial ideas had to be cut because we did not have the budget or the time to produce some aspects. We decided to include some fades/blackouts of the screen as this would allow for mysteriousness in the trailer as well as keeping it close to modern trailers.

Every character in a film has an iconic costume, for example, Tyler Durden’s Red Jacket in “Fight Club” or Han Solo’s black vest from “Star Wars”, intending to recreate this iconic feel to these characters  we tried to make sure each character had their own distinct style, however we didn’t want to have one specific costume to attract too much attention with bright colours or odd looking fabrics. This was so that they would not reveal parts of their character and spoil the story. Having the main colours of the clothes as browns, black and whites, meant that they were very neutral colours.“Brown colour meaning calls for high priority, a strong need for security”, “White contains a balance of all colors in the spectrum that represents both the positive and negative aspects of all colors”, “The closer the gray comes to black, the more dramatic and mysterious it becomes.” and “Black is a color that is often used to portray something evil, depressing, scary and even death in the Western civilisation, in colour psychology black means power and control”. We tried to have the three main characters to be a mixture of all three colours to have a balanced appearance.

When filming we will need a wide variety of equipment. We hired out the equipment from the college, this equipment included a Tascam DR-05 Voice Recorder, Sigma 24mm Art Lens, DSLR cameras, Rode boom stick, Windshield Microphone, 2 in 1 Light Reflector and an XLR cable to connect the recorder to the microphone. Devices that will be available to use will be a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX500, various mobile phones for photos and emergency recordings and our own computers for editing the final trailer. As we wont be filming in too many dark areas, we will only be using the light reflector to focus on someone’s face in a scene, other than that we will be using natural light so it won’t effect the dark cyber punk tone drastically. As I will be the main protagonist, my costume will change the most, in fight scenes I may sometimes wear the trench coat whereas in casual shots and crimes scenes I will always have the coat on.

Props were essential for our trailer as we’d want to have action scenes to keep the target audience (young people and adults, 15-30) entertained, this target audience being teens and young adults, 15-30. The props we used were an mp5 assault rifle, pump action shotgun, revolver, a blunt screwdriver and a pistol, these weapons would be used by different characters. Additionally there will be a stick/staff for the fight scene between the main protagonist and another enemy.

  During our filming we will go to a wide range of areas to film. Considering we all live in different areas each member suggested where would be good places to film. The places we chose were New Eltham, Camden, Wimbledon and Kingston. Having these different locations adds a variety of different environments and possibilities to make shots like interrogation scenes, action shots and casual shots while still keeping to the cyber punk style . New Eltham, Wimbledon and Camden will provide us with shots that will continuously show that most of the investigation takes place in the city, other than the last body which is the plot twist of the story.

  The location recce checklist is a document that is needed to see what services will be provided and what will be needed on the day of filming. As this was Tom’s and my job we had to made sure to tell and show everyone where the local toilets are, how much money would be needed to travel and what the dangers could be to all the people on the day of filming. One of the major health and saftey hazards would be the the cars that drive through Camden as they are quite close to the busy walk path.

Once we had all the elements together, we then had to name out trailer. As a group we came up with several ideas. As a final decision we went with ‘Werewolf’ as it links with the “Red Lipstick Murder” in L.A. Noire game where the murderer’s nickname was ‘The Werewolf’.
