Eurovision Fact #248:

In 2021, the performance for Ireland in the first Semi-Final was delayed substantially. This lead to audience members seeing more of presenter Chantal Janzen than even Chantal expected!

The postcard for Ireland played after a brief interaction with some of the perfomers, but when the cameras cut back to the stage, the ID for Ireland's song never appeared. Instead, the camera held on the dark stage for a moment before cutting to Chantal. Chantal spoke about the Eurovision app, and how nice it was to have people back in a stadium to watch the contest.

Eventually, Ireland went on to perform, and it was revealed that the delay was the result of a camera breaking.

i need you to know this ask is amazing and i had so much fun with this. i'm going to assume you're not dutch otherwise you would have never correlated ik moet zuipen with being blessed so here's a quick guide into dutch party bangers.

FIRST if you want songs that are literally exactly like ik moet zuipen i would recommend just looking through partyfriex discography. i dont want to call them a one trick pony but they do have a uh.. particular style i guess. specifically this year's collab with schorre chef & mc vals, klapt er op, which is basically just ik moet zuipen 2024 edition lmao

anyway if you're looking for more dutch party anthems, here's a very incomplete list of some of my personal faves:

What are some of your favourite performers of glinda and elphaba?

omg what a QUESTION!! there are soooo many good ones so i'll give a few of my faves.

my favorite elphaba overall is willemijn verkaik. i think she is an amazing singer, technically speaking, and her acting is awesome as well. i will never get tired of seeing her performances (in any language!)

my favorite glinda is definitely katie rose clarke. this is mostly bc of her portrayal of glinda in act II. she so expertly captures glinda's conflicting emotions and more mature aura. also krc is just generally hilarious.

my favorite gelphie pair is probably ginna claire mason (glinda) and mary kate morrissey (elphie) just bc they play their gelphie soooooo gay, it's postively delightful

i love watching the german and dutch productions of wicked (for willemijn verkaik lol) so i'm also a big fan of lucy scherer, jana stelley, and chantal janzen as glindas as well

i also have to give a special shout out to lissa deguzman and jennafer newberry, who were my first elphie and glinda. they had great chemistry and lissa deguzman's no good deed was a religious experience for me
