kamala literally died, what, a bit over a month ago? her funeral was 2 days ago. and they're already announcing a new series.
where, yes, she is now a mutant because they want to match the mcu.
the comic is being written by sabir pirzada, a writer on the ms marvel show, and iman vellani, who plays kamala.
i really don't have high hopes for this new page for kamala. I hate that they're doing this to her, I hate that the mcu continues to affect the comics like this. if there's any sliver of hope I have, it's because of iman vellani's passion and dedication to the character.
EXCLUSIVE: TONIGHT on @NJPWWorld, @WillowWrestles walked out of @NJPW_Global & @CMLL_mx Fantasticamania as #CMLL World Women’s Champion! Willow gives her thoughts!
She pushed her lips together, shoving away the memory of how he'd looked the last time she'd seen him, broken on that table. "Sam," she got out. "His name was Sam." She took an uneven breath. "I don't even know where they buried him. I don't even know who I would ask about it."
Chaol didn't reply, and she didn't know why she bothered talking, but the words just tumbled out. "I failed him," she said. "In every way that counted, I failed him.
Another long silence, then a sigh. "Not in one way," Chaol said. "I bet he would have wanted you to survive--to live. So you didn't fail him, not in that regard."
She had to look away in order to force her eyes to stop burning as she nodded. …
"Did Sam love you?"
Yes. More than anyone had ever loved her.
He'd loved her enough to risk everything--to give up everything. He'd loved her so much that she still felt the echoes of it, even now. "Very much," she breathed.
I’m having so many incoherent thoughts about how important love is in Willow right now. How it saves the day, over and over. They play with it jokingly, like the way that at the beginning when the gales attacked Elora was all like “Let our love be your strength” and Airk hesitates and agrees awkwardly, and Elora rolls her eyes. But at the end when she tells Kit that they both believe in the power of love, and they all commit to that tactic to get him back - with Willow even breaking his staff to give them his crystal - it saves Airk. That’s how they save him, through love. And the way it’s Kit that reaches for him, the siblings love being powerful enough to cut through all the Crone’s lies. I just love how the power of love is such an important theme throughout the show, whether it be friendship, romantic, sibling, parental, etc, the way it’s used both teasingly and wholeheartedly
At Willow Creek Park, the heart of Pleasantview, the air was thick with whispers and subtle glances. Mortimer Goth's furtive behavior in a secluded corner sparked tales of hidden Goth family secrets coming to life. Nearby, Bella Bachelor's purchase of a suspicious number of red roses set tongues wagging about clandestine love affairs. The sound of laughter from Dina and Nina Caliente near the park's entrance fueled the never-ending speculations about their romantic escapades. In a more secluded spot, Malcolm Landgraab's intense phone conversation had onlookers guessing his next big, yet possibly dubious, business move. Amidst the rustling leaves, Cassandra Goth and Darren Dreamer shared a serene moment, leaving many to wonder if it was a budding romance or just an artistic muse connection. The sight of Kaylynn Langerak departing with a cryptic smile left many pondering what she'd discovered beyond the usual dust and clutter.
