This is a very near perfect video with no obstruction and only slight washout in wide shots. There are two quick dropouts in the first few minutes, but the concert is otherwise fully captured. Lead Belly has now lead us to the halfway point of conference previewing. Can you believe it? That means all of next week will be power conference bullshit. If you are so inclined to hold onto these things, those are the ones that are easiest to laugh at later. We say goodbye for now to #DrugSlab whose mostly dull reign of boredom on late Fridays is being consigned to the walk-in for now. Maybe it will rot in there and be thrown out, maybe it will one day be good enough to run as a special. If you want to catch up on the RTARL preview issue 2017 here are the links:

EAST DIVISION

EAST CAROLINA

The East Division is kind of a crap shoot. Cincinnati is the ostensible favorite but I don’t think they can turn things around all that quickly. ECU lost a lot just in Zay Jones but they’ve still got some decent talent. And continuity, which is not the norm on this side of things. I think they’d be fourth or fifth in the West but that’s a moot point.

UCF

Scott Frost is back for his second year and there’s usually a decent amount of talent on campus for UCF so I’m projecting like a motherfucker to say they’ll improve a ton this year.

TEMPLE

They lost a lot from last year’s conference champions, especially Haason Redick. They honestly have a decent chance at the division title again because they’ve been pretty well coached the last couple of seasons but the talent drain is tough to ignore.

SOUTH FLORIDA

Kind of the opposite of Temple: tons of talent back on the roster but the coaching staff is new. I’ve seen them as the favorite to win the conference but I don’t trust it at all. Marlon Mack always seemed like the glue guy to me on the offense and he was a hell of a college back. Quinton Flowers is extremely talented so I could end up looking stupid(er) but I think USF takes a big step back this year.

CINCINNATI

Luke Fickell has a team! My memory of his time leading Ohio State was that the team crazily underperformed their talent level, making room for Urban Meyer to come in and look like a football messiah. So Cincinnati who has always underperformed their talent level even when the talent level was no good isn’t really my idea of a lock. AAA coaches are no joke so I don’t know why anybody expects Luke Fickell of all people to waltz in and dominate the competition.

CONNECTICUT

Based more on my general hatred of UConn than any honest evaluation of the talent and the progression of the program, I’ve got UConn losing every single week.

WEST DIVISION

MEMPHIS

I didn’t think Memphis was far off their 2015 level with all new coaches and a new QB last year. Riley Ferguson looked pretty comparable to Paxton Lynch, to be completely honest. If you only watch NFL football I need you to understand that’s a compliment in this context. The only real question mark for this team is what kind of production to expect along the defensive line, so if that turns out well they’ll be contending again for the conference crown.

SMU

Courtland Sutton is probably the league’s best offensive player and year three of the Chad Morris era should start to show off improved talent pipelines. I’m going a little nuts having them this high but there is a ton of turnover this year at other programs and the opportunity to shake things up big time is there.

NAVY

Navy should be pretty much what they were last year, which is still pretty great for Navy, but they won’t be near the glory of 2015 if Zach Abey doesn’t show a lot better understanding and command of the offensive scheme. Also, he has to actually stay on the field. As long as Ken Niumatalolo is keeping the Paul Johnson legacy alive you know what to expect from Navy.

HOUSTON

Here is a really tough one to predict. Houston lost a ton of talent from last year’s team and they lost a head coach that breathed new life into a program that has a mostly strong overall history. So that’s bad but then they have Warren Sapp reincarnated destroying teams at the line of scrimmage. Ed Oliver is the truth, a legit contender for best player in the country, and an absolute monster who impacted games way more than a true freshman defensive lineman should be able to given the focus he received from opponents. I’m erring on the side of caution and figure UH will be around .500 for the year but I won’t be too shocked if they play about as well as they did last season.

TULSA

I don��t think Tulsa is at all a bad team I just don’t think they’re an obvious level up from anybody in the West. The offense was almost perfectly balanced last year and the line is effectively all back so maybe it doesn’t matter all that much that the QB is gone. I’m still not sold on them being a contender.

TULANE

Tulane made strides last year, believe it or not, but they are in a position where they have to prove it first before I put any belief in them. Willie Fritz is an option coach but not from the Paul Johnson tree. He did some great work at the 1-AA level and as the coach for Georgia Southern when they moved up to 1-A. If he can get some decent recruiting classes Tulane could be dangerous in a year or two but they’ve been so bad for so long it’s hard to expect that.

At just over 2 hours long, this is missing a few sequences, but all the big numbers and memorable dialogue scenes are intact. It's shot from the very front row of the stalls at the side so, although this causes a lot of problems for the brave person who filmed it, we DO get many nice close-ups and a chance to see the show from quite an unusual angle at times! Very clear sound throughout.

After concluding a successful road tour, Richard Kiley brought the company of Man of La Mancha into New York City, opening at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre at Lincoln Center on 22 JUN 1972, and running until 21 OCT 1972. This video was shot of that engagement, using a single tripod mounted camera and sound board sound. While the exact date of the filming is not known, it is believd it to be from 22 JUN 1972. It is known that Irving Jacobson was out sick for the first two performances, and that his understudy, Edmond Verrato, went on for him on 22 and 23 JUN.

Drew Rosenhaus-NFL Agent

One of the biggest ego’s in the NFL- Drew Rosenhaus. No he’s not a player, not a coach, he’s an NFL agent who is known for talking extremely loud on the phone and signing the biggest deals in sports.  Having grown up in the Miami area, Rosenhaus would wait outside the Miami Dolphins practice facility to greet players as a kid. When he attended college, coincidentally at The University of Miami, he would tutor football players and hang out with them on the weekends.  In his book, A Shark Never Sleeps, he’s reiterates how obsessed he was just to be able to hang out with the most talented college football athletes.  The cool thing about Drew is that he had a plan. 

 Ever since he started college, he wanted to become good friends with players at The U(University of Miami), then go to Law school so he could properly negotiate contracts.  He is strict.  Doesn’t drink. Doesn’t smoke.  Doesn’t stay out late.  He prides himself on being diligent and hard working.  After coming into the draft scene hot in signing 4 first round players when he was 29 years old, it was all up hill for Drew after that.  In his career, he has represented  Chad Johnson, Frank Gore, Rex Grossman, Rob Gronkowski, LeSean McCoy, Jimmy Smith, Plaxico Burress, Pete Stoyanovich, and Warren Sapp.  Not only some of the best football players in their time, but these guys all raked in some of the biggest contracts in NFL history.
