Little-known benefits of medical interpretation services at a glance
Tumblr media
The medical sector has come a long way over the decades. However, the global medical sector still fell short in terms of efficiency when the recent pandemic hit the world’s population.
However, everything was not doom and gloom during the 2019 to early 2021 global lockdown days. A lot of innovations were made by the global medical sector and one of them was the enhancement of remote medical consultations.
Remote medical consultations were carried out by doctors around the world during the worst phases of the COVID–19 pandemic days in a bid to keep immune individuals safe from the infected. At the same time, remote medical consultation services also helped to keep the pandemic from taking more lives.
These days, remote medical consultations better known as telehealth services have become the norm. And if your organization is also planning to offer telehealth services along with its current range of medical services then you would need to seek help from agencies offering medical interpretation services.
Why?
Well, only a fraction of the world’s population has English proficiency. Hence, to make sure people do not die due to misdiagnosis or delayed medical assistance especially when the medical assistance is offered remotely, medical and healthcare interpretation services have become the norm worldwide.
Why has medical interpretation become a significant part of the healthcare sector?
Well, for starters, certified medical translators help to bridge the linguistic gaps between patients and healthcare professionals.
Secondly, professional medical interpretation services can also shorten the time between consultations and the beginning phase of prescribed treatments.
Then there is the benefit of quickly addressing the grievances of patients and their loved ones. Medical institutions that rely on medical translation services tend to rank high in patient satisfaction parameters. Hence, using medical document translation services is a no-brainer.
Medical institutions that previously struggled to maintain the quality of medical services rendered across digital and physical touchpoints can these days, with the help of certified medical interpretation experts take the quality of medical services rendered to new heights.
Furthermore, when there are fewer misdiagnoses, there will be fewer patient fatalities. And when there are fewer patient fatalities, there will be fewer legal proceedings against the medical institution in question. In simple words, using medical interpretation services can help a medical institution hone its reputation as well as keep its overhead costs manageable.
Just like businesses tend to thrive when they make sure their patrons are satisfied, medical institutions would also witness an increase in popularity and revenue when their patients and their families leave the grounds with smiles on their faces. Interpretation services specifically designed for the medical sector tend to help a lot in this matter, especially to medical institutions that recently opened up their doors to patients.
Even the most qualified medical professionals fall short when it comes to delivering high quality healthcare services when cultural and linguistic differences come in their way. To make sure that the star medical professionals in your healthcare institution never leave their jobs or are subjected to lawsuits, make sure that your medical institution is backed by certified medical interpreters associated with the most reputed language service provider.
Repeat business is one of the highly sought-after goals in the corporate world. This is also applicable to medical institutions. It should be kept in mind that medical institutions are at the end of the day, a source of revenue for the people that own the same. Hence, the people that own a medical institution must take all the steps that are practically possible to make sure their clinic or hospital remains at the top position. And one of the most effective ways to achieve the above-mentioned objective is to use medical interpretation services since happy and satisfied patients would naturally choose to come back whenever they need medical assistance. Isn’t it!?
Medical interpretation is going places
Remote medical consultations are slowly taking a mainstream position in the global medical sector. And without the expertise of certified medical interpreters associated with reputed language service providers, medical institutions cannot offer reliable and quality-assured remote medical consultation services. In case your organization is planning to add remote medical consultations into its range of medical services, it is high time to get in touch with a reputed medical interpretation agency for the best results. It is as simple as that!

Understanding the various translation services available will help you find the best one for your requirements.
Introduce the different types of translation services
Many translation services are available, and deciding which is right for you can be challenging. In general, there are three types of translation services:
In-house translation: A company hires a certified translation services dubai translator to work in-house, usually full-time. This is a good option for companies needing much translation work done or wanting more control over the translation process.
Freelance translation is when a translator works for themselves, freelancing their services to various clients. Freelance translators often have much experience and specialize in a particular translation area.
Translation agencies: These companies provide translation services to clients. They have a team of translators who work on a variety of projects. Translation agencies often have lower rates than freelance or in-house translators but may not have as much experience in certain areas.
Which type of translation service is best for you depends on your needs and budget. In-house translation can be expensive, but it can be a good option if you need translation work. In addition, translation services can also help to support diplomatic relations between different countries.

There are three main translation service types: agencies, freelance translators, and machine translation. Translation agencies offer a full range of services, including translation, localization, and cultural consulting. Hiii!! Can I request a gn!human reader song fic with the song Everywhere, Everything by Noah Kahan, with Tfp ratchet,
maybe some angst of ratchet realizing how frail his human is, and how he’s going to lose them eventually?
Everywhere, Everything - TFP!Ratchet/Human!GN!Reader
Word count: 1,352
Cybertronian protoform could score and dent, but ultimately all it took was a bit of filler and a bit of sanding to make it look as if nothing had happened. Organic flesh, though? Stitches, antiseptic, and time, then you’re still left with bumps, ridges, and discoloration that would take more pain yet to smooth away.
Ratchet had treated more than a few human wounds. Miko’s scraped knees, asphalt and gravel chunks in Jack’s hands, and the occasional bloody nose from Raf. You, though, could pinpoint the exact moment that the gears really started turning in Ratchet’s processor that things really, REALLY could be worse.
It was when Miko, in all her infinite wisdom, thought it would be fun to make everyone watch one of the Final Destination movies. The amount of car wreckages and graphic, often cartoonishly so, carnage wouldn’t be easy on anyone’s stomach or, uh… Fuel pump, in Bulkhead’s case. You had no idea Cybertronians could vomit but the floor behind the sofa has personal experience.
Bumblebee tapped out immediately after to ‘go on patrol,’ as Raf had translated. Arcee wasn’t really paying attention and was much more enthralled with watching Jack play with a language app on his phone, occasionally giving him hints and pointers. Miko ended up abandoning her movie to go and wrangle Bulkhead, and of course, Optimus had other things to attend to. Which left just you and Ratchet.
You were going to offer to go do something else with your guardian when the medic’s servo cups around you, scooting you against his thigh. And, well, it’s hard not to feel safe when you’re securely held like the world’s dumbest hamster between two different surfaces of warm living metal. You push yourself up on his thigh, laying yourself as flat against his plating as possible to catch his attention.
“Yes?” He tacks your name onto the end, but his optics are affixed to the screen and his expression has this pinched look of concentration.
“You okay, doc? You’re looking a little green around the gills.”
“What gills are you…” His optics finally flick down to you and it seems he registers the figure of speech. You love it when he gives you that funny, confused and exasperated look. He just looks so cute.
“I’m fine. Just thinking is all.”
Oh, there we go. There’s the dam breaking. You let him know you’re listening by looping your arm around his thumb and coaxing him to curl his digits loosely around you. His expression softens, especially when you press your cheek into the crux of his thumb and forefinger.
“How has your species survived when things like this,” He gestures to the screen with his off hand, “Can happen in the flicker of an optic?”
“The movie? Ratch, a lot of this is highly dramatized and takes astronomical amounts of bad luck.”
“I wouldn’t exactly say we’re brimming with good fortune around here.” Ratchet says with an audible grimace.
“Well,” You wrap your arms around his thumb, then press a kiss to his pad, “I still think I’m one very lucky human.”
It is then, that you fear, Ratchet was thinking about a little more than just how accident prone humans tend to be. He scoops you up in his servo and holds you to his chest until you’re close enough to his workbench for you to set him down.
Ratchet snorts a chuckle, but he doesn’t seem wholly convinced. His index finger comes around and gently strokes down your back as the medic bot becomes lost in thought once more. The movie ends and everyone who’s left– Just you two plus Arcee and Jack, really– Returns to their stations. Ratchet takes you with him back to the medbay so you can ‘help him test something.’
“M.E.C.H was certifiably insane but they knew what they were lacking.” Ratchet muses, knocking his knuckles against his own chassis, “Humans are soft, squishy, and vulnerable. Of course some kind of armor would be the logical choice. Not certain why your evolution hasn’t started developing something of that sort, you have animals that have done it already.”
“Probably because we’re not animals.” You point out, letting Ratchet go about taking tons and tons of tiny measurements with various rudimentary tools kept in the medbay, “Well, we are but not that kind of animal. And evolution takes millions of years of environmental pressures to stimulate. Instead of getting tougher, humans evolved to be smarter. Don’t have to protect yourself from a situation if you can avoid being in said situation to start with.”
Ratchet actually has to pause in his measuring to give you a long, weary look.
“Okay we you’ve seen evidence of this, Ratch. Example A, Miko and Raf.”
“Alright, alright.” Ratchet sighs, taking a seat at the workbench before you. “You have me there. I’m not giving up so easily though. There has to be something I can do.”
“Babe,” It’s your turn to sigh as you pat your hand against Ratchet’s forearm plating. “You’re like three degrees off of going full Shockwave, I can feel it.”
Ratchet sputters, “I am not! I actually have a medical license!”
“Ratchet,” You say his name as a fond, tired note that you mean with so much love, even if you know he might not listen to you. “Come down here for me, please.”
He’s still just a little offended by the Shockwave comment, but he leans down anyway, resting his weight on his arms so his face is level with you. Immediately you flatten your palms out on the white kibble on his cheeks. He leans into your hands, and you take the opportunity to bump your forehead– Or rather, your entire head– between his red chevron brows.
“Talk to me, doc.” You say, as his optics finally meet your gaze, “Where’s your head at?”
His expression screws up, like a kid that just licked a lemon, but you hold him there and you let him find his words.
“...I can’t be there all the time.” He begins, clipped and shamed. You don’t interrupt him. When he lifts his helm up and away from you, he doesn’t leave you entirely and instead cups you in both of his servos. “I hate the thought that something might happen to you and I won’t be there to save you.”
“Ratchet…”
“And we can’t just lock you up here with us! Primus, the kids need someone looking out for them while the others are off getting the slag beat out of them.”
“Ratch, I’ve been surviving most of my adult life on my own. I’m capable of getting myself out of a scrape.”
“That was before you got pulled into all of this war nonsense! And I wish Optimus would just listen to me when I say you would have been better off if you couldn’t prove we were real and then maybe the ‘Cons couldn’t find you.”
“...But then we wouldn’t be partners.”
Ratchet sighs, optics slipping shut as he tries to compose his thoughts. He shakes his helm.
“And I… I almost hate that thought more than seeing you hurt. Almost.”
You know he means it. You know how much he cares about you and what he’d sacrifice just for your sake. But he’s forgetting one vital thing.
“My feelings matter here too. And I can tell you with absolute certainty… My life is better, richer, with you guys in it.”
You reach up and coax your big medbot back down to you. He obliges, and you happily flatten yourself out against his cheek in a hug.
“I don’t ever wish not to be here, because then I know I’d lose one of the most important things in my life. You guys– Arcee, Bee, Bulk, Smokey, Optimus, you– are my family. And I can’t see myself anywhere but right by your side.”
Ratchet’s vocalizers make this low static rumble as he leans into you, cupping your tiny body against him in his servo.
“Gah, you’re sappy.” Ratchet grumbles, you just laugh.
“I mean it, though.”
“Yeah. I know you do.”

In Hindsight (🎧) scaramouche x reader smau
Tumblr media
synopsis. You are a singer-songwriter. Music has always been a part of you, it's a part of your identity that no one can ever take away. However, there's always a catch: you are diagnosed with a chronic illness that puts your life on a timer. Those who have heard your countless melodies have grown to notice that the notes on the sheet played a gloomier tune. Would the snarky and capable medical student you've met be able to bring life back into these melodies? Even as your life begins to seep out of your own body? A reboot/rebranded version of Autumn Leaves.

notes. using the 2023 calendar for the dates, timestamps don't matter unless stated, grammatical errors and typos here and there, slow updates but ending is already planned out, overall would have a heavy atmosphere for the duration of the runtime! will retain the taglist of autumn leaves along with the new ones that can be requested for this smau ! would be adding bonus episodes from time to time.

Kamen Rider NRV Lore Dump!
Tumblr media
Manticore
Manticore LLC is a major medical technology company. Publicly, they are most known for their artificial organs and limb prosthesis as well as several other medical devices and equipment used in hospitals worldwide. Less widely publicized are their numerous military contracts, developing cutting edge medical treatment technologies but also advanced weapons, drones, and other offensive hardware.
Tumblr media
Nanoderm
The scientific breakthrough that lead Manticore to dominate in the field of med-tech is the invention of micro-sensors that are capable of reading brain signals in the nervous system and translating them into data a computer can interpret with absolute precision. These microscopic sensors can be integrated into programmable nanomachines that interlock in a mesh that forms durable skin-like material called Nanoderm.  If an exposed section of human tissue is covered in Nanoderm and then allowed to heal, the Nanoderm will become integrated with the tissue like a layer of natural skin. Any impulses or signals sent by the brain to that part of the body will be received by the Nanoderm and translated into data. That data can then be read as motor commands by a Manticore prosthesis. Basic prosthesis models can receive this data via magnetic nodes embedded in the surface of the Nanoderm but more advanced models, capable of finer dexterity/expanded functionality, require a “bone spike,” a rod-like data plug that interfaces with a port in the Nanoderm area that is connected to more advanced sensors. The socket and sensor hardware is imbedded in the body through a surgical procedure.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The catch with the Nanoderm system is it must be applied to the body before the exposed tissue heals over and the exposed nerve endings have a chance to close off, or in other words, while the wound is “fresh”, otherwise the healed tissue must be cut away and a fresh wound made. This means that in emergency situations a patient or their next of kin must make a snap decision to undergo the expensive Nanoderm compatibility surgery as part of their emergency treatment. Of course some insurance plans will cover some or all of this cost. Additionally Manticore has deals with some insurance providers that the surgery come standard with higher end coverage plans, forgoing the need for patient consent. Manticore has exclusive patent rights to the Nanoderm system, meaning once you are Nanoderm compatible, you are locked into the Manticore ecosystem of prosthesis and devices. Additionally your devises can only be serviced by Manticore certified technicians and only Manticore doctors are trained in Nanoderm patient care.
Remote Command (RC)
Manticore is a sprawling corporation with many secrets. One such secret is the Remote Command program. A project Manticore has been working on behind closed doors, the Remote Command program involves research into sending brain signals over great distances without a physical connection between the sensor and the receiving devise. With RC a person could control a prosthetic arm in another part of the world as though it were part of their body. This is achieved by broadcasting the impulses across a proprietary electromagnetic wave length to the receiving nodes. The signal travels point to point and back again at light speed. The potential RC has for the future of drone warfare is staggering, not to mention the potential for profit.
Sensitive as this information is, there’s another layer. All Nanoderm currently in use by people around the world is capable of receiving Remote Command. With the right inputs it can reshape its self, self-replicate, and even, under certain conditions, send signals back to the user’s brain, causing brain damage or, theoretically, controlling them. Whether this functionality of Nanoderm was an intentional feature or not is unknown to anyone currently employed at Manticore but the company has no pans currently to use the Nanoderm in this way. What is known, however, is that if this function ever becomes public knowledge it would be disastrous for Manticore, not to mention the chaos that would ensue if a bad actor were to exploit this function for malicious purposes.
Tumblr media
Manticore Special Security (Spec-Sec)
Manticore LLC has secrets, and it has enemies. To protect its secrets, combat its enemies, address the threats to public safety those things pose, (and protect its corporate interests), Manticore formed the Manticore Special Security Division. More than just your standard private security outfit, Spec-Sec is a fully equipped task force and strike force designed to identify, target, track, confront, and nullify any threat to the company and its assets. Thanks to Manticore’s history of generous donations and good standing with local police forces, the Spec-Sec Division is able to operate with a certain degree of discretion, allowing them to carry out operations without interference from police or the legal system. Lead by Special Security Director Sloane, her hand-picked crack team of Special Officers have carried out dozens of high risk operations with ruthless efficacy and, so-far, minimal casualties. Spec-Sec utilizes the most cutting edge technology and weaponry Manticore has, often before it’s even close to market ready. In some cases necessity dictates that Spec-Sec operations serve as ad hoc field tests for experimental equipment.

Core Drivers, Data Boosters, and the Kamen Rider program
The Core Driver is a piece of technology that was developed as part of research into the use of Nanoderm to enhance a soldier’s physical performance on the battlefield. The concept was to temporarily cover the user’s entire body in a layer of Nanoderm mesh that could respond to the signals from the user’s brain in such a way that would increase their strength, speed, perception, and reflexes. The solution was the Core Driver, a device that would house the billions of Nanoderm nanomachines and serve as the computational core for the whole mesh network. Along with the Core Driver was the Data Booster, a flash drive-like device shaped like a syringe. The data booster contained the information that told the nanomachines to deploy from the Core Driver and cover the user. Additionally the Booster came with its own payload of nanomachines that, when the plunger of the syringe was depressed, would also be deployed through the Core Diver and take the form of armor and weapons. Basically, a user need only insert the Data Booster into the Core Diver, clearly speak a voice authentication phrase, and depress the plunger and they would instantly be wearing a powerful yet flexible armored body suit. The project was called the “Kamen Rider program” after the masked visage of the user’s armored faceplate (“Kamen” being the Japanese word for “mask”).
The Project had its drawbacks, however. For one a user would need to already be Nanoderm compatible for the suit to work at all, meaning, practically speaking, the user would need to be an amputee, and the prospect of convincing soldiers to sacrifice a limb to use the Driver was deemed a “hard sell” and the idea of a approaching a freshly maimed soldier with the offer of further combat, well, that wouldn’t be a good look either. The second and most important drawback was the simple fact that the Kamen Rider program was far, FAR too expensive to be profitable, and the thousands of man hours it took to produce just one Core Driver meant mass producing them to sell by the battalion, as Manticore had planned, was simply out of the question.
The Kamen Rider Program was not completely abandoned, however. The first completed Core Driver, designation SVR (Special Versatility Rider model or “Sever” colloquially) is currently coded to Director Sloane of Spec-Sec, who happens to be a double transfemeral amputee. With the Director’s input, the device and the suit itself have been modified heavily over its years of use. It now features the ability for additional Data Boosters to be employed, loaded with weapons and tools in the form of appendages that attach to highly advanced versions of Bone Spike sockets on the suit at the amputation sites of the Rider’s body. The nerve signal enhancing properties of the suit allows the Rider to manipulate these complex, non-human-like appendages with a natural ease and minimal adjustment period.

A second Core Driver has just recently been put to use in the field at Spec-Sec. The first Kamen Rider designed from the ground up with Spec-Sec modifications. Designation NRV (Neo Rider Variant or “Nerve” colloquially) is encoded to the Division’s newest member, Special Officer Nat Agbayani. A right shoulder disarticulation amputee, he was promoted to the Special Security Division from the internship program in the research wing by the COO of Manticore himself… wait what? That can’t be right…
The existence of any other Core Drivers, in use or otherwise, is classified.

I know it is not that deep, but every single time I see or hear someone say “translation is a betrayal of the original source” or “translation means I can never truly grasp what was meant” and mean it, I die a little inside. Do you know how much time, effort, countless nights spent agonising over context, meaning, intention, historical context, research etc. goes into a translation? Do you know about the concept of translation loyalty, how we are taught that it is one of the golden rules? Our loyalty to readers and author alike? How much understanding of a topic does not only go into translation but into interpreting as well? How much determination, frustration and love it all takes? How informed you have to be about hot words, cultural peculiarities, language-specific concepts and the like?
Do you know how much adoration goes into providing another human’s words - one whom you may have never met but by all that is holy and damned, their voice exists and it is worth being heard by all, no matter if they have access to the original language or not -, their thoughts and dreams and hopes and whatever else there is, for all eyes and ears and fingers?
It is demanding work. It makes you doubt and doubt and want to pull your own teeth out sometimes. I have spent minutes analysing a sentence simply to find the correct translation for the word “as”. I have checked sources, researched novels and plays long forgotten, hours before I would actually get to translate. I have spent nights researching, swallowing tears and cries of anger older than me, for interpreting jobs. I have felt unbridled joy upon delivering a valuable translation, could have jumped in exhilaration when elderly people came to me, smiling and thanking me profusely because they are interested in working for a good cause but they would not have been able to understand this conference without my friend and I because the conference was held in English, not German.
My state exams are coming up. I am this close to being a state certified and court-sworn translator and interpreter. Something I’ve been training for for 3 years. I would have never discovered Neil Gaiman as an author without the translation of “Norse Gods”, which I needed as reference material back in school. I would not be able to teach my mum English if not for my Scottish teacher during my time becoming a commercial correspondent and then starting to train as a translator. Without translation, nobody would ever be able to learn another language, or even get to know a different culture.
Translation is an act of love.
It’s in the smile of the Ukrainian kid whom I’ve interpreted for at a gaming conference, who did not speak a lick of German. It’s in the eyes of the Canadian Paralympics delegation stopping in Munich, whom we’re interpreting a sports event, a state dinner and a welcome speech for. It’s in the laughter of refugees who have been here for months to years, shunned by the government and left to be unheard until the multiple conferences, projects, organisation meetings held to help them, to make sure they are not forgotten. Who joke around with us in bits of English and Farsi - through another interpreter -, forge connections with others attending the meeting, quipping and teasing in broken German and my mother tongue rings as sweet as bells. It’s in the hands of elderly people attending a talk about the banning of uranium weapons, shaking but full of strength, as they thank us for our help. It’s my mother’s smile as I translate medical articles for her, as she never learned English, growing up in the GDR.
Translation is an act of loyalty and love. Of adoration for those who were, who are and who will be, and all the echoes of ourselves.
