Summary:

After Judith and Rick died during the fall of the prison, Carl has been separated from the original group for 15 years. Now a prostitute at the Easy Stay Motor Inn in Virginia, he believes he has finally found a life that suits him. That is until a strange man and a child walk in one day. Takes place in the Dead City-era but can be read without having seen the spin-off.

Cegan concept

Imagine Carl showing up to the Sanctuary, bloodied and tattered. Negan allows him in because he’s sweating and exhausted – nothing of the unhinged firecracker that pointed a gun at him mere weeks previous. With a heavy sigh, Carl admits he got bit and he didn’t know where else to go. 

“And just what were you doing nearby?” Negan asks with a raised eyebrow. Though his own pulse is racing at the news, he hides his concern for the boy.

With nothing left to lose, Carl pulls something from his bag. With horror, the Sanctuary’s fearless leader realizes it’s a grenade. The bag thunks onto the floor, giving Negan a fright as Carl turns the grenade over in his hand like it’s a juicy apple he’s about to take a bite out of. It would be one hell of a spicy apple – an apple that bites back.

“Easy now, kid.” Negan says carefully, slowly, buying himself time to think up a plan.

“I was going to invite myself in and see how long you’d last playing hot potato with this,” the boy gestures to the grenade in his hand, then rests it on a shelf nearby, stepping closer to Negan. “But now, I need something else from you.” His singular eye glances up from under his bangs, lashes acting like crosshairs between himself and his target – suggestive is the word that springs to mind for Negan. He’s not opposed. “I don’t want to die a virgin.” 

Imagine Negan feeling so bad for Carl that he agrees quickly. Plus, he’s always had a thing for the kid. He’d hoped this would happen under better circumstances; some wine, sensual music, perhaps a relaxing massage to get the kid in the mood... but Carl’s days – possibly hours - are numbered. 

When Carl takes off his shirt, there’s already a large bandage around his middle and it makes Negan gulp down a horrified gasp. Stomach bites are said to be the worst ones. Carl won’t even show the bite because it’s too grizzly and painful to take the bandage off.

When Negan and Carl wake up tangled in each other’s arms, Negan notices the boy isn’t sweating - in fact there’s no indication of anything amiss with his health. He looks radiant and blissful. Did Negan somehow fuck the infection out of him??

He gingerly brushes the blanket to the side to reveal the bandage on Carl’s stomach. Biting his lip and preparing for the worst, he lifts the loosened material and Carl starts to stir just as Negan is taking in the site of the unblemished skin beneath the bandage. It becomes clear why Carl was so confident he didn't need to be tied up overnight.

There’s no bite. There never was one. 

The twist: Carl is simply horny enough to pretend he’s dying so Negan will fuck him without questions. 

Oh, and once Negan gets over the fact Carl lied to him, they live happily ever after.

Where there should be the inert, or dying, body of a deer —the most majestic and beautiful deer Negan’s eyes have ever seen — there’s a body. A body that his bullet from his rifle has passed through. A boy, tiny, fragile, delicate and pale above the green grass; like a rag doll, a perfect, broken doll.

A widowed Negan is forced to move to the countryside after losing everything to found peace and happiness, but he finds himself trap in something else, after hunting what he shouldn't. The errant nymph he shoots doesn't want his head, only his blood.

Carl thinks this is it. That he will break down in front of his dad. That he’ll spill out every disgusting detail, every single thing that ruined him. Everything he let happen to him. Everything that he wanted to happen to him.

“It’s okay. I’m just glad Daryl was there with you.”

The squeeze on his shoulder is terribly compassionate. Obnoxiously understanding.

“I gotta…” Carl croaks and stands up.

I blame a cegan fanfic I read months ago for this thoughts but.. It's giving me teenchester/weecest brainworms

Dean brushing Sam's teeth. Sounds wild, but hear me out.

Maybe Sammy got into it with a monster they were hunting or got his ass kicked by the local bullies in the shit hole town they're staying in.

Either way, Sammy has a bloody nose and it's taking every inch of self control for Dean not to just fuck his baby brother's bloody mouth.

His big puppy eyes are watery as he fights off tears. The blood is coagulating in his sinuses and dripping down his throat. All Sam can taste is blood, and normally this would worry him but Dean's warm hands on his neck and face offer him comfort.

Sam seems to be getting increasingly woozy, the punk ass kid that jumped him must has smashed the cartilage in Sam's nose.

Dean cleans Sam up as best he can while hunched over his brother's spindly frame. The rough thread of the motel washcloth scrapes at the supple skin on Sam's face. Blood soaks into the cloth as Dean tries his best to not just smear the ooze all over Sam's cheeks.

It takes nearly half an hour, but eventually Dean gets his baby brother all cleaned up. A bandage is applied to the bridge of Sammy's nose and by this point Dean is ready to tuck him into bed.

Sam mumbles about brushing his teeth, and Dean knows that Sammy will pitch a fight if he doesn't let him.

Dean watches as Sam struggles to get up off the bathroom floor, there's no way he doesn't have a concussion. Dean certainly has plans for the punks that beat him brother, but he'll worry about that tomorrow. Right now, Sammy needs him.

He helps Sam off the floor and sits him on the bathroom counter. Dean's hands linger in Sam's waist before he reaches for the ziploc bag they keep the toothbrushes in.

Once the brush is covered in toothpaste, far more than Sam would have used on his own, Dean sets to work on brushing.

It reminds him of when Sam was a toddler, and how he'd help him brush his teeth. Dean tries his best not gag Sam while still trying to clean the blood and spit from his mouth.

"Spit." Dean instructs, pulling the toothbrush from Sammy's mouth and gesturing to the sink.

Sam does as told and spits the mixture of white foam and dark blood into the cracked porcelain.

Dean helps Sam off the counter and leads him to one of the motel beds, then tucks him in like he's a small child again. Poor Sammy is out like a light as soon as his head hits the pillow. Dean sits by his baby brother's side, gently brushing his hair from his face.

A small spot of bloody toothpaste rests on the corner of Sammy's mouth, and Dean wipes at it with his thumb. He stares down at the blood and can't help but bring his thumb to his mouth and lick it off.

It tastes minty, coppery, with an added flavor that Dean can only surmise is just Sam.

🔥🔥🔥 My top 3 is definitely made up of the Cegan Savior Carl AU series I have written for The Walking Dead fandom. There are currently three fics in it. The first one was published during Covid (January 9, 2021) and it followed the story of TWD if Rick had never found his family and if Carl had been raised by Shane. As a consequence, Shane forces Carl to join the Saviors and Carl ends up bonding with Negan. After posting this fic, I took a 3 year hiatus before posting part 2 last year (December 20, 2023). I am currently in the process of posting part 3. This series is very dear to my heart as I've been working on it for over 3 years and I've written 243k for it so far. It's a behemoth and I wouldn't change a single thing about it.

🗽Number 4 is the fic I’m writing right now, another Cegan fic for TWD. This one takes place in the Dead City spin-off and is an AU where Rick died after the Governor's attack and Carl was separated from the original group following the fall of the prison. Carl was on his own for over 15 years and is now a sex worker at the motel where Negan and Ginny stay. It is basically a prequel to the series.

❄️ Number 5 is a Marvel Stucky fic (and the reason I met @ohhsodebonair!): The House on Winter Lane. It was written for the Silver Fox Steve reverse bang and it's a love story between Bucky, a deeply scarred 23 year old working as a contractor, and Steve, a silver fox widower building the dream house he promised his late wife before she died. This fic was a first for me in many ways. It was the first time I participated in a fandom event, the first time I joined a Discord server, the first time I made friends in the fandom community... It was also my first ever really long fic that I completed, as well as my first fic with so much smut. I will always love this fic and be deeply grateful for what it brought me: many fandom friends, a sense of community, and just generally taught me all the good things that fanfiction can spark.

i know i haven't written anything in like two months, but i'm still going to put The Walking Dead since all of my active WIPs are from that one - but like, in general i write whatever i'm into at any given time (prev: The Boys, TFATWS, CA: TWS, Witcher, Watcher Entertainment, general rpf, etc etc)

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I SWEAR I TRY i'm just so fucking bad at it, when i'm in an upswing of writing i don't want to stop to reply (which makes me an asshole) and then when i can't get words out i'm just too sad to try and respond to everything... usually once a year (right before @febuwhump i do a full two weeks of JUST responding to as many as i can from the previous year) (so i guess if you haven't heard from me, wait till January 2025 😅)

i have! multiple times. almost ALL rpf from Buzzfeed Unsolved stuff weirdly enough

why do people keep asking me this 😅 if you asked me RIGHT NOW (which is kind of what's happening) i would say neggie (negan x maggie) but this answer is subject to change at the drop of a hat. a month ago it would have been cegan (negan x carl), seven months ago it would have been butchie (butcher x hughie), and before that it was winterbones (rumlow x bucky) or hell, roosmav (rooster x maverick) and so on and so forth

What are your writing strengths?

smut. descriptive smut.

What are your writing weaknesses?

dialogue. jesuschrist i hate writing dialogue (esp for negan, fuck that guy and his tone and innuendo and run on sentences) (affectionate but still annoyed)

first posted on AO3 is for NBC Constantine but that's only from 2015 and i've been writing smut since the late 90s 🙃 reader-insert for Star Wars was probably the first thing i ever wrote (before i even really knew what fanfic was tbh) (luke x me babyyyy) but some of the first stuff i published to an audience back in the yahoo groups days would have been the UK queer as folk or... shit, gundam wing probably?

(also, sidenote but tfw you realize charlie hunnam was in the UK QAF on this day of our lord 2024???) (just need a moment while my childhood watching queer as folk collides with my adulthood adoration for pacific rim crash into each other)
