HAIL TO THE CAVALERA BROTHERS -- EMMISARIES OF THE MOST EXTREME SOUNDS.
NOTE: In other news, I'm going to mutilate a "WHY" tee soon to make a back patch. My denim jacket will soon be complete!
PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on Iggor Cavalera pictured here with brother Max of CAVALERA CONSPIRACY on the US leg of their current "Morbid Devastation" 2023 tour, and sporting a Dis-fathers homage T-shirt design by Machine™. Available now from their tour merch stand.
Anyway, some of the written text on the back of the tee design reads as follows:
"Nuclear warheads cry out for destruction."
"Insanity and corruption of the Universe."
"Concentration camps are back again."
"Third Reich is here between us."
"Total slaughter is only rule."
"Will to live, live to kill."
"Mass extermination, black death."
"The corrosion of the world is done."
The radiation corroded our faces."
"Over mutilated corpses we have to march."
"Destructed Empire's, where's God now?"
"That calls himself the Redeemer of mankind."
Dis nightmare still @$!*#&% continues!!

Last song: back to the primitive by soulfly (ive been slowly working my way through max cavaleras entire discography, current highlights are roots by sepultura, and primitive + totem by soulfly)
Currently reading: picture of dorian gray, started rereading it after that stupid netflix show announcement and remembered that i actually really love this book. Man i am not looking forward to that show
Currently watching: im working my way through bobs burgers again bc it's the perfect show to put on in the background when youre too tired to focus on anything
Currently craving: one (1) decent nights sleep. Just one. 8 consecutive hours of restful sleep. Surely thats not too much to ask for. Ive been awake since 4am
Coffee or tea: tea with honey <3
Hobby to try: i wanna get back into life drawing so so bad, but unfortunately every class is like 30 quid now. Like i know i can use line of action and photos but it's not the same!
Current au: that dorian gray but theyre brothers and lokis a painter obsessed with thor au has been on my mind a lot recently. Theres also a modern au metalhead thorki au ive been thinking about, but it takes place in a really specific nightclub where i live lol (tbh it's less of an au and more a flimsy pretext to make playlists and design battle jackets)

MAX CAVALERA Clears The Air On SEPULTURA Reunion Rumors
During a brand new interview with Metal Injection‘s Frank Godla, Max Cavalera shared his thoughts on SEPULTURA reunion. My insight about the whole thing is I’m kind of surprised by it, you know,” Max said. “As far as a reunion – I wanted to reunite with my brother and that’s what he also said a long time ago when we first got together. So to me that was the real reunion, me and him, and we did…

The Cavalera family’s GO AHEAD AND DIE Go project to bring the ferocity back to the mosh pit at Old Roseville’s most popular live destination, Goldfield Trading Post. March 12.
If you were lucky enough to catch the Cavalera brothers at Ace Of Spades last year, you already know that front man Max Cavalera has been on a death metal mission. And although Sepultura changed significantly for the worse after his exit, he’s produced an immense body of work that includes Soulfly, Nailbomb, Killer Be Killed and, of course, the mighty Go Ahead And Die featuring his son Igor…

This album was revolutionary for people like me because it brought back Igor Cavalera to the drums after he finally quit Sepultura in the 90's after they kicked out his brother Max Cavalera. His love of metal died as it became more homogeneous and lost its way tryna be more hardcore. He went into EDM production because it was all about beats and I'm sure the fact that women loved it also helped.🤣🤣🤣 Igor and Max hadn't talked since Max was kicked out and Igor hadn't heard of Soulfly but upon listening found it very profound and he wanted to form the ultimate supergroup album that was supposed to be a one-off release with no supporting tour. Igor agreed and they went off to write one hell of an album detailing the things they felt since forming Sepultura in the 80's writing everything Sepultura didn't let them write.
Then things worked out so well and they were well received even with little critical acclaim because they labelled a hardcore album metal and metalheads didn't think it was metal enough but casual listeners loved it which were plentiful and there was enough buzz about the Cavalera brothers reuniting that earned enough hype for them to agree to a tour. Even Igor surprised himself with that because he was done with the metal scene but he liked that it wasn't traditional metalheads who came to their shows, it was the open-minded "posers" who he identified with that showed up. Together they formed a different metal scene against the regular metal scene. It was great because it was all of the people who didn't give a fuck what you listened to because they all listened to other genres and appreciated the bands they didn't like. It wasn't an "I'm more hardcore than you because I listen to (insert band name here)” scene. It was an "have you heard of (insert artist name here), they're not metal but they're great" scene.

CAVALERA Announces Morbid Devastation Tour with EXHUMED and INCITE
Nearly four decades into their illustrious careers, the CAVALERA brothers have re-recorded the cataclysmic debut releases that started it all for them, Morbid Visions and Bestial Devastation.
