Part I

Book Title: My Sunshine by Catherine Anderson                          Feb. 18, 2017

This story is about a woman named Laura who had an aphasia- a kind of brain-damage from an accident. I feel sorry for Laura because her life had changed and she is now unable to do what she wanted to do. But at the same time I was inspired because she did not allow her disability to completely ruin her life. She is still trying her best to fit in with other people. Her life was just simple until she met Isiah- a pleasing and successful man whom she never thought would accept and love her despite f her disability. She doubts herself. She thought that Isiah needs a woman without a brain-damage. A normal woman who can fulfill all his needs. But Isiah never let her go. As I was reading this story, even I have fallen in love with him because he is such a responsible man. I was touched by his sincere love for Laura. I have proven that disability is not a hindrance to love a person. All that matters are being happy and comfortable with the person.

When my father got a kidney failure, he was terribly ill and he was already unable to earn money and provide our needs. So my mother took all the responsibility she was working very hard just to provide all our need and to buy my father’s medicine. This story reminds me of My Sunshine because just like Isiah, my mother never quit serving us and my father. She has proven her unconditional love for us.

I wonder why Laura was not living with her family? When I think Laura’s condition was probably quite tough. Yes, they’re calling Laura to check her condition, but I think calling is not enough. Were they not concern about Laura’s condition?

Well I think it’s Laura’s decision to be alone. Perhaps, she wanted to be independent, and she doesn’t want to be a burden to her family. I also think that there is a big possibility that Laura will recover from what happened to her with the help of Isiah. Because I think Laura’s talking better since she worked with Isiah.

Part II

             “Friendship was a lovely thing, and I had to be happy with that.”- Laura Townsend

This quote was said by Laura Townsend, when she realized that she was falling in love with her boss Isiah Coulter. She was trying to hide it because she thinks it will ruin their friendship.

For me, friendship is indeed a genuine kind of relationship. Many believe that it is better than romantic relationship. There is even a bigger impact for everyone who loses their friendship than losing a boyfriend of a girlfriend. But if there are two opposite sex who happen to be close friend but ended up falling in love with each other, then that could possibly happen and I think there is nothing wrong with that. Anyway, all romantic relationships begun from friendships. If a person is romantically in love with his bestfriend, then they can move to the next level of their relationship. For me that is just a matter of choice. If you love your bestfriend, then it’s your choice whether you confess what you feel towards him or you choose to hide your feelings to maintain your friendship.

The quote above is indeed meaningful because friendship is one of the loveliest thing to us. It is one thing that we could cherish.There are many respected things in life, but friendship may be one of the most important. To live life without the experience of friendship, is life without living. Human communication is a necessity to survival, but developed friendships are important to the successful well being of anyone. Based upon Webster's Dictionary, the definition of a friend is, "A person whom one knows, likes and trusts." But to all, Friendship has no defined terminology. The definition of a friend, and friendship, is based upon one's own concepts.
