He fell in love with a noblewoman of a nearby fiefdom, married her, and had two children, Vair and Cara. Alas… this happiness was not to last. A dragon of crimson scales came. Skilled in the art of battle, Gildas took up his mace and shield and went to confront it– knowing he likely would never see his loved ones again.

When Ordorac was destroyed by a dragon attack, Cathair took in the two survivors– the young son and daughter of his old relatives, the Bhelthirs. Now a relatively old man, Cathair is content to teach the younger folk how to fight.

Cara remembers nothing of her parents, who died to a dragon attack when she was a baby. She was raised by a relative she and her brother call their uncle, who happened to be a knight of Hyrule. He taught the both of them how to fight. One day, Cara had a dream of Dinraal descending on a red dragon, and took it as a sign that she would be the one to avenge her family and rebuild Ordorac. She roams Hyrule now, too wild and vengeful to be a soldier, slaying monsters where she can and collecting the rewards for them.
