Surprisingly enough, I think Sam and the Addams family would be at odds quite a bit. But Sam wants them to like her, and to some extent, she wants to be like them and fit in with them - which is a very weird first for her. So, she does her best to hold it all in - which is another very weird first. It ends up with her feeling somewhat self-conscious around them. They're more macabre than she is and a hell of a lot more extreme. Sam finds herself not wanting to argue - both for her own sake and Danny's - and for the first time ever, she hesitates over how she expresses her views.

Sam ends up having to reassess how she goes about conveying her beliefs to other people and is forced to take a different approach with the Addamses - one that's less pushy and condescending and actually broaches the topic in a somewhat open-minded manner.

Just imagine the trio getting back from a particularly long stay with the Addams family and the entirety of Amity Park is convinced they've been overshadowed.

Danny's chilled out and still running on the good vibes he picked up from the Addamses and now that inexplicable, foreboding sense of dread that seeps into the room whenever he's present has noticeably reduced.

Tucker, who'd been taken under the gracious wing of Mr Gomez Addams - who just so happened to be the smoothest man Tucker had ever met - had sworn off his creepy attempts at picking up every girl in Casper High. Suddenly he's opening doors in a completely polite and friendly manner, without a single uncalled-for pickup line. He's finally keeping a respectful distance from the girl's changing rooms, and worst of all he managed to make a tasteful joke that actually got a genuine round of laughter from the unsuspecting cheer squad.

Sam had had four separate opportunities to rise up and berate her classmates on various "controversial" topics but chose to remain quiet. And when Paulina had decided to poke the bear and jokingly asked if she was sick, she had replied with a polite, non-sarcastic, measured response that had asserted that she was in perfect health and had gone on to outline her stance in a logical, but firm and almost open-minded series of dot points that she delivered without a single scathing remark about Paulina's recently whitened teeth or 'superficial' personality.

It's safe to say that the entire student body of Casper High had been too afraid to comment on the situation and the Fenton's had been alerted to a code red situation.

I really didn’t think I had so many thoughts on the McFaddens. As well as the three BIG stories surrounding my version of Casper in general. Part of me only figured I’d just tell one tale and be over with it, but it’s rapidly becoming more expensive. If I may elaborate to anyone who views this, I have ideas or rather things I want to tell such as:

The full backstories of Isabella, Vivian, and Aria. Before and during their interactions with their loved ones.

How Simon and Elizabeth’s hearts were intertwined with one another and loved each other’s company.

Because as small as their interactions were, something beautiful was growing there. Up until someone deliberately ruined what could’ve been.

The horrible effects of what jealousy does to a young boy. Always competing with his eldest brother and consistently failing due to their blinded, quite uncalled for, hatred. All the fault of a father that wanted the best son. And whoever was the weakest would be nothing

This one is a bit scattered due to me thinking about it just in the last hour. So that one could DEFINITELY use some work.

James Harvey feeling a bit overwhelmed over a new skill he slowly wields. A skill that is so sporadic that it never fails to startle him.

There’s still so many other things. To put it all in writing is possibly a big challenge. Though it’d be an even bigger challenge to put it in a graphic novel. I don't know really what else I can say. I'm just a bit overcome and popping all sorts of ideas day by day that I'd like to compile

if there was one thing casper hated, it was judgemental pricks. it was human nature to be curious, sure, but it really drove him up the wall when people weren't subtle about it. the way people would stare at anya was just uncalled for. he noticed the way stranger's eyes would linger on her, trying to piece together why she looked different in their heads. and the worst part was that anya knew it happened constantly - how could she not? he wanted to shield her from all the bullshit... if only that were possible.

he was a private, reserved person by nature. casper didn't care for attention since that meant he had to perform a certain way under supervision. and that usually meant pretending to have more energy than he did, which only exhausted him further. anya was the exception. she didn't need him to be peppy and quick to reply to her. she was understanding and patient with him, which made him feel comfortable around her. they didn't have to pretend with each other and god was he ever grateful for that.

"I mean, yes and no. a party with celebrities sounds like the opposite of what I'd be into. but it's an experience, right? my sister always says it never hurts to try shit out just to say you did it. hollywood party is on the bucket list. besides, even if it blows, I'll be there with you and that's always a good time." in his mind, they could always leave if they were having a miserable time. he felt no way about that. "I will admit that I'm a little curious to see what they're all like. I hear so many horror stories about these people - it can't all be true, right?"

the anxiety, the fatigue, the pain that came with her body never fully recovering, from being without a friend for nearly two years as the tried to heal, all that was so manageable when it came to being out and about. what truly haunted her was always the fear that people were staring. at the scars that littered her skin, when they knew her story it was the pity that she could feel them paint her with. she never had that with casper though, he understood her and accepted her for exactly who she was, what she looked like, and how her life had changed.

"alright, i'm sorry, you're right, i never considered that." this wasn't her first movie premier, she had worked on enough films at this point, not to mention she had done the red carpet before, but she usually went with whichever artist she'd written for, and while they were always sweet to her, it wasn't the same as knowing casper would be by her side tomorrow night.

anya considered his words, finding work was never hard, she had made enough splash on her first project, and ever since, the jobs just lined up for her, but she did need to get out, make friends, leave the comfort of her apartment for somewhere that wasn't the studio. "you sure you want to check out an after party? rub elbows with the hollywood elite?" she teased, moving to curl up on the couch.

A couple days after his parents learned he was Phantom, Danny realized he didn't explain the nature of his condition as well as he could have.

"Can... can I talk to Phantom?"

His Mom seemed to regret speaking as soon as she'd asked.

"Uh, what do you mean?"

She bit her lip. "I mean, if you're not busy or anything. We only talked to him that first night after you, uh, switched."

"Mom," he said slowly, "you know I am Phantom, right? Like, we established this—"

"I know. I know you’re the same. It’s just that I wanted to talk to him for a second about ghost stuff.” She paused. “If that’s alright with you.”

His parents still weren’t comfortable with the ghost stuff. It probably took a lot of courage to ask him to change. He was grateful that she was willing to let him share this part of himself with her so soon.

“Yeah, sure.” He pulled on his core and made the change. White light washed over him and replaced his day-clothes with his HAZMAT suit. “So, what ghost stuff?”

She stared. “You heard that?”

“Uh, heard what?”

“About me wanting to talk about ghost stuff. I mean, I didn’t really want to go to into it earlier, but just how conscious are you and Danny of each other when you switch? Are you always listening under the surface, or like—”

“Mom, hold up.” He raised a hand. “Do you think that like, Danny and Phantom are two different, I don’t know, personalities? Or something?”

Her face went red. “Are—are you not?”

“Uh, no. I don’t think so? I’m me. Just—” he waved to himself “—me with white hair and cool outfit?”

“No.” She shook her head. “But you act so different?”

“Because I have a secret identity? Not like, whatever you’re thinking. Same Danny, I swear.”

“So, when you say that you’re Phantom... you mean that you don’t just share a body. You really are...”

“Yeah...” He tried not to waver under her shocked gaze. “Is that alright?”

“Of course! I just—I’m just surprised, is all.” She sat down on his bed. “So when Phantom told Vlad Masters to kiss his ass, that was all you. Danny.”

“Uh, I mean, Vlad is kind of complicated—”

“And the time Phantom phased some GIW into the ground by the wrists, pantsed them, and goaded a group of Casper High kids into using them as paintball targets.”

“Well, I wouldn’t say I goaded them.” He shrugged. “They were eager to do it.”

“Or the time Phantom was found loose in the car wash, high on ghost nip and trying to fight the brushes.”

“Hey!” With a rush of ectoplasm, his cheeks suddenly felt cold. “That’s—that’s uncalled for.”

“Ghost nip! Really, Danny?”

“You left it in the kitchen! I didn’t know what it was! That’s your fault, if anything!”

His Mom shook her head. “Great. I thought at least, ‘Hey! Phantom’s the wild one! Danny’s the sensible one. No need to worry about him.’ You’re going to make me go gray at forty-two, Daniel James.”

He didn’t regret most of his escapades as Phantom, but he realized now that his parents were privy to all his antics he wouldn’t have the same freedom as he once had.

“I’m sorry.”

She pressed her hand into his. They were both wearing gloves, but it was still nice to feel her warmth. “You don’t need to be. I told you before, didn’t I? That I accept you no matter what you’ve done as Phantom.”

“You thought Phantom was some other person in my head, not me.”

“That doesn’t change anything, though. Ghost or not, you’re still my son. You will always be my son.”

Despite the initial miscommunication, they were bridging a clearer understanding of what life after the reveal meant.

It didn’t seem all that bad.

Gambeteando El Algoritmo: 10 Podcast Que Pueden Gustarte, O No

Escribí esto porque pretendo ser el Neymar de Spotify y gambetear el algoritmo que te recomienda cosas en base a tus intereses. El algoritmo es algo así como un embudo que se va achicando cada vez más hasta lógicamente, terminarse. Algo como la la habitación que se va achicando cada vez más en la casa que le construyen a Flanders cuando el huracán devasta tu casa original.

Desde que escuché por primera vez el nombre podcast me llamó mucho la atención. Y casi desde entonces escucho muchos. Los temas que me interesan a mi son varios. Aunque creo que no son tantos. Y de esos temas se entre poco y algo. Por lo tanto, no soy alguien para tomarse demasiado en serio.

Esta lista bastante contemporánea para el universo Argentino, la arme como resultado de la cuarentena que todxs estamos atravesando desde mediados de marzo. Como reza el título, puede gustarte o no. Lo que te puedo asegurar hasta el momento es cierta pasión, creatividad y curiosidad. Vos sabrás elegir.

El Futuro

Lo puse primero porque es el que más estoy escuchando actualmente. Esta bueno, suma y tiene muchísimo contenido. El influencer Ramita junto a su amigo Ulises hablan una hora por episodio (parece muchísimo, pero se pasa) sobre temas de actualidad (paradójicamente, el podcast se llama El Futuro) vinculados a las redes y la tecnología. Pero no lo hacen al estilo “TN tecno”, sino que es una charla entre dos amigos que tienen muchísima data y curiosidad. Se van por las ramas de manera inminente todo el tiempo y es muy raro que uno no se sienta identificado con alguna de todas las situaciones que comentan. Ideal para escuchar trabajando!

Libres De Humo

Fútbol: ¿te suena? Bueno, este no es un podcast más de fútbol. Ni es un podcast de entrevistas. El “papu” Gomez se está fogueando como conductor radial junto al periodista Martín Reich. Aparentemente se hicieron amigos y/o pegaron onda tras varios contactos periodísticos y decidieron armar entrevistas que realmente se oyen como conversaciones desacartonadas y con protagonistas de primer nivel. Recomiendo particularmente, el episodio de Mario Pergolini.

Las Promesas De Elon

Este podcast es de Congo, y me llamó la atención desde la primera vez que escuche su nombre: me resultó original y lo quiero destacar como los nombres de cosas que si. Aunque reconozco que a la vez, me genero un poquito de distancia. Básicamente, porque en ese momento (principios de 2019) no sabía quién era Elon Musk. Y en realidad, para entender el podcast no es necesario conocerlo. Con leer dos líneas del link de Wikipedia que te pase es suficiente. El contenido del podcast es acerca de cómo se achica -si es que se achica, realmente- ese margen entre el futuro que nos prometieron de chicos y el futuro contemporáneo que atravesamos, aunque sin llegar a flashear Black Mirror. Es relativamente corto, son pocos episodios super disfrutables y pienso que marida muy bien para una mañana de sábado.

Audiolibros: Por Qué Leer

Era hace un tiempo donde no existía la cuarentena y donde existía el bluetooth para el auto: en ese tiempo -no tan- lejano viajaba mucho en auto y para hacerlo más ameno me grababa audiolibros descargados en youtube a un pen drive. Era mi alternativa interesante entre radios AM y alguna FM ocasional. Hoy, por suerte, no hace falta hacer todo ese desgaste: Por Que Leer consiste en una serie interminable de cuentos de autores Argentinos y Latinoamericanos, la mayoría cortos (entre 15 y 25 minutos) narrados por Cecilia Bona con un ritmo disfrutable y a su vez, con margen para seguir trabajando. O mejor dicho, para trabajar mejor. Super recomendable para escucharlos con unos buenos mates!

Sexy Pipol Podcast

Los ex “Gente Sexy” se adaptaron a la coyuntura. En la inmensa biblioteca de spotify, guardan las mejores notas del programa que en general resultan ser atemporales. Una de las que mas me gusto es una en donde su productor FES explica cómo grabar un podcast: desde los requisitos técnicos y físicos, hasta los trámites digitales para ponerlo en la vidriera de spotify. Acá te debo el link.

El Movimiento

Temas de todos los días que pocas veces escuchamos en los programas de radio: las cosas que en teoría, nos enorgullecen de ser Argentino: ¿está chequeado, realmente? O ¿por qué nunca nos podremos comprar una casa? Seguramente lo hablaste con algún amigue, pero nunca chequeando datos. Buscalo!

El Sinso

El Sinso es el podcast ideal para todo fanático de Los Simpsons. Es decir, para casi toda la población mundial nacida entre los ‘80 y los 2000. Los protagonistas de este podcast son Jorge Pinnarelo (#TeLoResumoAsíNomás) y uno de sus amigos: Casper Uncal. Con un nivel intelectual para sacarse el sombrero y un fanatismo de nerd que la haría una de las mejores víctimas de la banda de Jimbo, estos dos muchachos analizan cada capítulo en un promedio de una hora. La cantidad de cosas que sacan, te hace quedar perplejo. También tienen su cuenta de Instagram e incluso han armado un campeonato propio entre diálogos. En los diálogos enfrentan la versión americana original con los doblajes latinos, que son los que la mayoría de nosotros conoce.

Te Lo Transmito Así Nomás

El creador de #TeLoResumoAsíNomás, decidió ampliar la marca y se armó un podcast con la novia y dos amigos. Siempre es interesante escucharlo a Jorge por su claridad para explicar (es docente de teatro) y su frescura y creatividad para decir algo distinto de algo ya conocido por todo el mundo. Su novia Natalia, también es youtuber y docente. Junto a Casper y otro amigo platense, que sinceramente no recuerdo el nombre, han creado una especie de La Venganza Será Terrible (el histórico programa de Alejandro Dolina) para millennials. El título de cada episodio tiene una clara reminiscencia al público que lo consume: cosas que los que tenemos entre 30 y 35 años seguramente consumimos de chicos. Y hablo de consumos televisivos. La nube de tags que despeja el mundillo de TeLoTransmitoAsíNomás abarca nombres como Francella, Brigada Cola, Cebollitas, Chiquititas, Los Simpsons, Dragon Ball, Los Caballeros Del Zodiaco, Sailor Moon, Pokemon, Magic Kids… y puedo seguir una página más.

Gente Enojada

El nombre original y completo es “No Puedo Creer Que Haya Gente Enojada Por Esta Boludes”; y es otra creación de Jorge Pinnarello. En este nuevo curro, aborda como eje principal los temas que más controversia han generado en twitter exponiendo los argumentos más ridículos de los usuarios a favor y en contra de un tema determinado. Gente Enojada empezó con una temporada de 5 episodios, y desde Junio hace vivos desde su canal de Youtube. 

Hoy Trasnoche

Santiago Calori y Fiorella Sargenti hablan de cine. Saben y saben mucho. Las ocurrencias de Flor (Si, se llama Fiorella pero le dicen Flor) y la particularidad de Calori para observar los detalles del cine hacen mínima mente atractivo. Es un podcast ideal para escuchar a la noche antes de irse a dormir. Tiene una cortina un poco psicodélica que genera atracción al momento de darle play  y además, el diálogo entre ellos es muy agradable.
