Conveyors, both horizontal and vertical, transport the steam-cooked and air-cooled RCN to storage silos where they are stored till shelling.

Both mechanical and automated shelling machines are constructed using vertical and horizontal systems in a range of operating modes.

The range of the standard output capacity is 25 kg/h, 50 kg/h, 80 kg/h, 300 kg/h, and 450 kg/h.An automated shelling line can produce up to 300, 600, or 1200 kg of output per hour.

During the shelling process, kernels and shells are produced by shelled RCN. Consequently, in order to prevent oil from contaminating the kernels, the oily shells must be removed from the kernels as soon as possible after shelling.To separate the kernels from the shells, the shelling machine's output is passed through a vibratory deck with holes in it.Using a pneumatic aspirator, the lightweight shells are removed and taken away for additional usage, storage, or disposal.
