Bad Girl - Carlos Toshiki and Omega Tribe (バッド・ガール/ カルロストシキとオメガトライブ) (1989 Review)
Nice Late Period City Pop from the thrid(technically second) era from Japanese band Omega Tribe. My Only criticisms are that the reverberation might not be to everyone’s taste, and the vocals can sound separated at times 8.5/10 Listen Here

O lado B desse disco, I'll Never Forget You, é ainda melhor. Maldita onda unplugged dos anos 90. Ainda quero ressuscitar esse estilo deles e do Jim Andron.

what are your top five favorite bands/ artists/ musicians?
(In no order)
1) G/orillaz
I've loved this band ever since I was in freshman year, and they're still killin' it!! What initially caught my attention was of course the fact that they're a cartoon band. The animations done by Jamie are all fantastic and Damon's voice is just 💕💓💞💘❤💘💞💞. I've seen them live twice, and hopefully if they have another concert, you bet I'm going to be the first to buy a ticket lol 😭
2) The Be/atles
I knew of the Beatles when I was a kid, but they were a whatever band for me. That is until middle school when I first joined Tumblr back in 2013. I used to be into the Arctic Monkeys back then and I used to browse through aesthetics featuring their logo. Then, there was this one edit of a bunch of logos of different bands, and the Beatles happened to be one of them. I then thought, "You know what? I'll give them a listen" From there, I looked up their most viewed video on YT and it was "Hey Jude". I gave it a listen, and the rest is history. I find their history, whether it be of their personal life, the people who surrounded them, the writing process of their music to be fascinating. While I'm not into them as I used to be, they did give me a whole new appreciation for music and for that, they will always have a special place in my heart.
3) B/TS
I love this group to death. Their music? Immaculate. The members? Amazing. Hard working. Talented. 💕Handsome💕 The messages in their music? Also amazing. I joined the fandom around the time Wings was about to drop and that same year, I went to go see them for the Wings Tour. Their performances live are phenomenal!! I just love these boys so much and the Wings album will always have a special place in my heart 😭
4) A/STRO
Just like BTS, I also love this group to death. I got into ASTRO before BTS and they were my first true introduction to K-Pop in general. I love their music and although I wished they had stayed with their cute concepts, their recent album was great and I loved every song. I remember staying up late on school nights just to watch their V-Lives. I have also seen them live in K-Con 2017 and they're amazing performers as well 😭❤
5) 1986 Omega Tribe
This is a band I have recently just started listening to. I heard this band at a japanese store, I thought it sounded cool. I researched them at home and omg. The lead singer Carlos Toshiki has a one of a kind voice. Their song "Kimi wa 100%" never fails to make me cry. I feel a sense nostalgia whenever I listen to that song, even though I've never heard it until this year. Overall, amazing band. Please listen to them.

Mentally dissecting the meaning of Carlos Toshiki’s use of ‘boku’ in his singing with Omega Tribe and how this, despite my sparse knowledge of Japanese, colours my perception of the differences between Kiyotaka Sugiyama and Toshiki’s presentation of the typical City Pop lyrical themes of driving on highways and dreamy summer romances.
All while trying to finish a drawing of a cabin.
#Sugiyama's got the coolness but Toshiki's got that pining thing going on#Like I'm buying that he loves all these girls and longs for the ENDLESS SUMMER#Meanwhile Sugiyama is like... I could have any woman I want with my cool sunglasses and smooth voice. I will have my hot girl summer.#avoidance behaviours in full effect

Natsuko - Carlos Toshiki and Omega Tribe (ナツコ/カルロストシキとオメガトライブ)(1990 Review)
Natsuko is the fourth studio album by Carlos Toshiki and Omega Tribe; it is the eleventh and final overall studio album by Omega Tribe released through all of their incarnations.
This is an example of an album where the songs get better after the last. For Starters, the Production on most of the songs is amazing, it seems like they improved from last album. The reverb fits just right depending on if it’s a slow song or a funky groovy song. One of my favorite tracks, Automation, is some nice sick grooves with a bluesy harmonic to accompany the instrumental; plus this is one of the few if not the only Omega Tribe song where it’s all English Lyrics. That’s because the group collaborated with two American musicians, Joey McCoy(who was already affiliated with the group to begin with) and Mike Dunn. My only dislikes is that the guitar solo in Seeking Dreams isn’t mixed the best.
9.1/10 Listen to the album here
