hey guys did you know that there's a series of cfv 3ds games that never got localized or fan translated and ive been playing the roms through a shitty ocr screen translator. here are some of my favorite scenes from the first game so far (note: these scenes could be entirely wrong because the translator is kind of shitty but i digress)

- izaki asks you what gift he should get morikawa for his birthday. the choices are 1) one (1) grade 3 card 2) an astrology book and 3) a signature from ninja master m. clearly morikawa is an easy guy to get gifts for

- misaki practices her customer service greeting in the park because customers think she's too unfriendly. she gets tired of smiling, says her cheeks hurt, and then is basically like "this customer service thing is so dumb. cardfight me"

- jun kidnaps you just to cardfight you God help me he is crazy

like BITCH? YOU'RE JUMPING ME? OVER CARDS?

- i don't have screenshots but there's this scene where you as the protagonist go to find kai bc u wanna fight him and miwa intercepts you like "kai? oh that lazy bastard he's probably napping ill take you to him"

- in the same scene kai wakes up from his nap and says hes too busy to fight you. its really funny because hes clearly not busy if hes asleep on a park bench and miwa is even like Oh yeaaaa so busy (sarcastically)

- kai does give u a couple cards in compensation. i think the protag gets a little pushy about it like "no i wanna FIGHT bitch" (translator was a little weird here) and miwa steps in like Hey hey heyyy 😅😅😅 Let's not poke the beast here this is the best u are gonna get kid

- miwas also prone to napping in parks apparently

- i dont think this is the right translation but this next screenshot is extremely funny so i'm keeping it in

-"evil"Aichi(not really but I take what I can get)

-"possessed" Aichi(the closest we got to him being reversed)

-Ren and leon completely ignoring Aichi's wishes for them not to intervene and coming to help anyway

-Ren playing dumb

-jillian and sharlene pushing Kai into the water and calling him an Idiot

-Kai literally teleporting when they tried to do it again

-stand up le vanguard

-JUDGMENT

-the quatre knights literally worshipping Aichi

-Galliard hating Kai the entire season (consequences,am I right?)

-Aichi really sealed himself on the freaking moon

I can’t believe it took me this long to realize the Blaster Blade Aichi Rides in the Get Back Yourself ED sequence is Blaster Blade Seeker, not Blaster Blade. Why is this relevant?

I submit, Kai’s Ride chant for Blaster Blade Seeker : “Stand up, my avatar! The true friend within my soul... my mate! Ride the Vanguard! Blaster Blade Seeker!”

Also, Kai’s Legion chant for Thing Saver Dragon, the same one he calls “Soulmate Legion”, and describes as “the bond between [himself] and Aichi” in ep 169 where he first meets Gaillard: “The light of courage that connects me and my mate in the darkness! Seek the mate! Friendship is in this hand! Our bond is in this heart! Line up, avatar of my soul. Legion!”

My only excuse is that every time I watch Legion Mate I’m scraping my jaw off the floor because “how on Earth (and Cray) did they ever green light a season that’s just made of There’s No Heterosexual Explanation For This Whatsoever”.

And I thought it was obvious enough with Aichi’s little proposal speech at the end of Link Joker 😅

A retrospring anon told me about the lyrics for the cfv willdress season 2 ending song, Re-raise. One of Ren’s(the singer) lyrics goes something like “if I could quietly save the world that has gone astray, it wouldn't be too bad to reach out my hands into the darkness”

Meet the Seiyuu: Chenya's Hama Kento

Chenya is voiced by Hama Kento, who says he first became interested in acting after a teacher in elementary school complimented him on how well he was able to read aloud to the class.

He was inspired to look into voice acting by Fukuyama Jun’s performance as Lelouch in Code Geass. Like Silver’s VA Shimazaki, he also cites Lilia’s VA Midorikawa as an inspiration.

Hama’s first-ever role was lead character Oliver Gaillard in Cardfight!! Vanguard: Legion Mate.

Hama has since had roles in over 40 anime, 40 drama CDs, 30 video games and nearly 40 live stage performances such as Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki in Touken Ranbu (With Riddle’s Hanae, Crewel’s Ito Kent, Lilia’s Midorikawa, Azul’s Tamaru, Leona’s Umehara and Ace’s Yamashita) Idolmaster SideM: Riyuu Atte Mini!, A3!, and Anidol Colors!.

He is also a singer, doing characters songs and other music for over 60 different projects.
