It’s a Joke: UK Car Rules Relaxed
You’ve got to laugh otherwise, you’d scream.
News just broke that the UK government is relaxing the rules for British car manufacturers ahead of the 2030 petrol and diesel vehicle ban. Sounds nice on the surface, right? A bit of breathing room for Jaguar, Mini, and the rest before the electric hammer comes down. But don’t be fooled. This isn’t about helping our industries but softening the blow while they quietly walk us into the cage.
Let’s call this what it is: centralised control over your freedom of movement. They don’t care about the environment. They don’t care about your carbon footprint. They care about controlling how far you go, when you go, and eventually, if you go.
And how better to do that than to shove everyone into electric cars?
The government’s logic is laughable. They ban petrol and diesel, then pretend they’re helping manufacturers by letting them ease into it—while the rest of us are being strong-armed into overpriced EVs that rely entirely on an unstable, fragile, government-controlled grid. One cyberattack, one rolling blackout, or one “climate emergency,” and BOOM you’re not going anywhere.
They don’t need to physically lock you down anymore. All they need is a flick of the switch.
You think the COVID lockdowns were bad? Wait until your car won’t charge during “peak hours” because the grid’s overloaded. Or worse—because you posted something the government didn’t like.
This isn’t conspiracy—it’s cold, calculated policy.
The tech's already in place. Smart chargers. Dynamic pricing. AI-managed grids. They’re selling it as "green innovation"—but it’s a digital leash. And now they’re playing the long con: easing up on the rules today to avoid backlash, so they can slam the door shut tomorrow when it's too late to fight back.
Ask yourself this: What kind of free society bans the internal combustion engine? A free society gives you options. A controlled society gives you a choice that isn’t really a choice—pay £40,000 for an EV or walk.
This is the same country that can’t keep the lights on in the winter, can’t build nuclear power stations on time, and can’t run a reliable train service—but they expect the entire transport network to run on electricity?
Pull the other one.
It’s not about climate. It’s not about progress. It’s about power—and not the kind that runs through wires. It’s about turning the car—a symbol of British freedom, independence, and self-reliance—into a monitored, permission-based privilege.
They're not helping us transition. They're herding us toward dependence. And once they’ve got you all on the grid, you’re no longer a citizen; you’re a user. Users can be disconnected.
It’s a joke. But we’re not laughing.
