i have this sneaking suspicion that it would be really, really funny to do up a Toyota Lexcen (90s era full size sedan/rarely a wagon, a badge swapped Holden Commodore due to complicated laws around car manufacture/importation at the time) the way you would modify a toyota chaser or celica, or a honda or something. silly body kit, big alloy wheels, yellow fog lights, a spoiler, coilovers, yknow. underglow, one of those big crystal gear sticks, whatever,
just get silly with it

things you need to see/experience/feel in your bones every once in a while to recalibrate your brain
- long car rides where the landscape slips past, nothing for miles but rocks and trees and grass, stretches where the road is one lane each way and a faded yellow dot between them, where night falls and all you can see are headlights and bright flares of civilization in the distance
- industrial star fields. Cities from the distance, refineries and manufacturing plants and the old works lit up and the roar of the highway as you pass, the world still existing even in the quiet of night
- thunderstorms where the rain falls sideways and the trees move like kelp forests, where the sky turns from bright to dark with the weight of the heavy clouds, where the rain falls and water runs over the street and grass so thick it reaches your ankles and you have to be careful lest you get swept away too, rain forming bubbles in the torrential streams, and the roar of wind in the leaves and shifting tornado siren is all you can hear
- the ocean with the never ending cycle of waves, the steady pulse of the sea, sand and stones and broken shells crunching underfoot, kelp and crabs on the beach, the smell of salt and seaweed, cold air and sand lashing your face, sunlight glaring off the water, gold and gray and blue-green, and an endless stretch of beach you start walking along until your legs ache and you look up and you're miles from where you left the car,
- forest and woods and trees where it's trapped in the cool moisture of a summer morning, the heat of the day diffused by the canopy, lost like the light filtering down, mulch spongey underfoot and the wooden fence marking the trail a timeline of repairs as the wood fades from bright to dark where it has been weathered old.
- rivers in winter where ice has clogged it, where the cracks have formed and carry huge chunks south, they'll melt far before they reach the sea, but for now it's white churning water and the fog is from your own breath because the air is too cold to hold it
- flat flat falt expanses of land where nothing exists and you understand why they say you can see the weather coming a week out because clouds are the only thing on the horizon
- mountains in the distance white and glaring against a too blue sky and bright sun, clear gray like teeth jutting from the earth to cup you in their valleys, to hold you so you don't fall off the edge of a too flat world, fog and smoke rising from the rivers below hiding them in a misty blue haze greens and grays muted in the early dawn

1.Tell me how you’d check that the brakes are working before starting a journey.
Brakes should not feel spongy or slack. Brakes should be tested as you set off. Vehicle should not pull to one side.
2. Tell me where you’d find the information for the recommended tyre pressures for this car and how tyre pressures should be checked.
Manufacturer’s guide, use a reliable pressure gauge, check and adjust pressures when tyres are cold, don’t forget spare tyre, remember to refit valve caps.
3. Tell me how you make sure your head restraint is correctly adjusted so it provides the best protection in the event of a crash.
The head restraint should be adjusted so the rigid part of the head restraint is at least as high as the eye or top of the ears, and as close to the back of the head as is comfortable. Note: Some restraints might not be adjustable.
4. Tell me how you’d check the tyres to ensure that they have sufficient tread depth and that their general condition is safe to use on the road.
No cuts and bulges, 1.6mm of tread depth across the central three-quarters of the breadth of the tyre, and around the entire outer circumference of the tyre.
5. Tell me how you’d check that the headlights and tail lights are working. You don’t need to exit the vehicle.
Explain you’d operate the switch (turn on ignition if necessary), then walk round vehicle (as this is a ‘tell me’ question, you don’t need to physically check the lights).
6. Tell me how you’d know if there was a problem with your anti-lock braking system.
Warning light should illuminate if there is a fault with the anti-lock braking system.
7. Tell me how you’d check the direction indicators are working. You don’t need to exit the vehicle.
Explain you’d operate the switch(turn on Hazards) (turn on ignition if necessary), and then walk round vehicle (as this is a ‘tell me’ question, you don’t need to physically check the lights).

Things to Check to Buy Car Fog Bar Lights Online-call us :9711393973
Buying car fog lights online requires careful attention to detail to ensure you get lights that not only fit your vehicle but also provide the performance and durability you need. Here are essential factors to check before going to buy car bar lights online:
1. Compatibility with Your Vehicle
The first and foremost step is to verify that the car bar lights or fog lights are compatible with your car's make and model. Each vehicle may require a specific size, mounting style, or bulb type. Most online stores have a feature to filter compatible products by inputting your car’s year, make, and model. Check this thoroughly, as incompatible lights may require modifications to fit, which could void warranties or cause installation issues.
2. Light Type: Halogen, LED, or HID
Fog lights generally come in halogen, LED, or HID (High-Intensity Discharge) types. Each has its own benefits:
Halogen lights are cheaper but have a shorter lifespan and emit yellowish light.
LED lights are energy-efficient, long-lasting, and emit bright white or cool blue light, making them popular for visibility and longevity.
HID lights are brighter than LEDs or halogens but may consume more power and are often more expensive. Choose the type that best fits your preferences for brightness, lifespan, and cost.
3. Brightness and Color Temperature
Fog lights and bar lights by Carzex vary in brightness, typically measured in lumens. For optimal visibility in foggy conditions, a fog light with around 1,500 to 2,500 lumens is usually sufficient. Additionally, check the color temperature, measured in Kelvin (K). A color temperature around 3,000K produces a yellowish light, ideal for fog since it reduces glare and enhances visibility. Higher temperatures like 5,000K to 6,000K emit bright white or blue-white light, which can be more effective in dark conditions but may create more glare in fog.
4. Beam Pattern and Spread
Fog lights and bar lights should have a wide, low beam pattern to illuminate the road directly in front of your vehicle without reflecting light back into your eyes. Some lights come with adjustable beam patterns, allowing you to direct light where you need it most. Reviews or product details will often specify if the lights have a wide-angle or focused beam pattern, so be sure to check these.
5. Material and Build Quality
Fog lights need to be durable enough to withstand harsh weather conditions, road debris, and other environmental factors. Look for lights made with high-quality materials, like aluminum housings, polycarbonate lenses, and IP-rated (Ingress Protection) weatherproofing. Ideally, the lights should have an IP rating of at least IP65 to ensure they are dustproof and water-resistant.
6. Installation Requirements
Check the installation requirements and compatibility with your car's existing wiring system. Some fog lights are plug-and-play, making them easy to install without specialized tools, while others may require professional installation. Ensure you are comfortable with the installation process or prepared to seek professional help if needed.
7. Customer Reviews and Ratings
Reading customer reviews is essential when buying car bar lights and fog lights online. Reviews can provide insight into real-world performance, durability, ease of installation, and any common issues other buyers have experienced. Look for patterns in reviews, particularly regarding longevity, brightness, and resistance to weather elements.
8. Warranty and Return Policy
A warranty can provide peace of mind, as it shows the manufacturer’s confidence in the product. Look for lights with at least a one-year warranty, covering manufacturing defects and performance issues. Also, check the store’s return policy; a flexible return policy can make a big difference if the lights don’t meet your expectations.
9. Price and Budget
Finally, compare prices across different platforms and check for any ongoing promotions to car bar lights. While you should avoid cheap, unbranded options, you can often find quality fog lights at a reasonable price by comparing brands and reading reviews.
Taking these steps will help ensure that the fog lights you buy online meet your needs for performance, durability, and compatibility with your vehicle, ensuring a safe driving experience in low-visibility conditions. Boosting Automotive Safety with GMSL Cameras: The Future of Vehicle Surveillance
Tumblr media
Car safety is more crucial than ever in the ever changing world of today. Modern technology that improves safety for both drivers and passengers has been made possible by the development of driverless vehicles and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). A significant advancement in this field is the GMSL (Gigabit Multimedia Serial Link) camera, which has revolutionized vehicle safety and surveillance systems.
This blog will examine how GMSL cameras are changing the landscape of automotive safety, their application in vehicle monitoring, and the prospects for this essential technology.
What Is a GMSL Camera?
GMSL cameras are designed to transmit high-speed video and data over long distances, providing real-time imaging solutions in vehicles. This technology is ideal for applications where multiple cameras need to be connected to a central processing unit, such as in ADAS and autonomous driving systems. By using GMSL cameras, automotive manufacturers can ensure seamless, high-quality video transmission with minimal latency.
How GMSL Cameras Improve Automotive Safety
The automotive industry has always prioritized safety, and GMSL cameras are pushing the envelope in terms of what is possible. Here’s how they enhance vehicle safety:
1. Superior Image Quality
GMSL cameras offer crystal-clear, high-resolution images, even in challenging conditions such as low light, rain, or fog. This level of clarity is essential for applications like lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and collision avoidance systems. Drivers and onboard systems can detect obstacles, road markings, and other vehicles more accurately, reducing the chances of accidents.
2. Real-Time Data Transmission
One of the key features of GMSL cameras is their ability to transmit data in real-time. In a fast-paced environment like driving, every millisecond counts. The low latency offered by GMSL technology ensures that cameras can relay critical information to the vehicle’s safety systems without delay. This real-time communication helps in faster decision-making and enhances overall safety.
3. Robust Design for Harsh Conditions
Vehicles operate in various environments, from scorching heat to freezing cold. GMSL cameras are designed to withstand extreme temperatures, vibration, and moisture, making them ideal for use in automotive applications. Their durability ensures that they continue to function optimally, even in the most demanding conditions, offering consistent safety performance.
4. Long-Distance Data Transmission
Unlike traditional camera systems, which may struggle to transmit data over long distances, GMSL cameras excel in this area. They can send high-quality video data over several meters without any degradation in image quality. This feature is particularly useful for large vehicles, such as trucks or buses, where cameras might be located far from the processing unit. It also benefits future autonomous vehicle designs that will likely require multiple cameras in various positions.
GMSL Cameras and the Future of Vehicle Surveillance
As vehicles become more advanced, the need for sophisticated surveillance systems continues to grow. GMSL cameras are at the forefront of this revolution, offering cutting-edge solutions for both internal and external vehicle monitoring.
1. External Surveillance
GMSL cameras are instrumental in monitoring the vehicle’s surroundings, detecting other vehicles, pedestrians, and potential hazards. This external surveillance is critical for systems like blind-spot monitoring and parking assistance. With the high-quality video that GMSL cameras provide, vehicles can more easily "see" their environment and avoid collisions.
2. Internal Monitoring
Vehicle surveillance is not limited to the outside world. GMSL cameras are also being used inside vehicles to monitor driver behavior and passenger safety. For example, they can track driver fatigue, ensuring that the driver remains alert and focused. They can also monitor passengers, detecting if seat belts are fastened or if children are safely seated.
3. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
As ADAS technology evolves, the role of GMSL cameras becomes even more significant. These cameras feed critical visual data into systems that help drivers navigate more safely. From automated emergency braking to traffic sign recognition, GMSL cameras play a vital role in making ADAS more effective and reliable.
