Ferrari wants to keep up to the status they have in F1 and what would bring more prestige? 1st championship or breaking the record for most WDC in F1 history? It's an easy choice for Ferrari.

Exactly. Like I said I think Charles will be quicker but I think strategy and other factors will be built for Lewis and a potential 8th. I can also see the usual Ferrari clownshow that this exactly will be the reason why they miss out on both.

I don't think it will matter who is faster (definitely Charles). The higher ups have invested too much money and will prioritise Lewis. Please don't come for me Lecfosi. It's basic economics.

Compare it to the return of Ronaldo to Manchester United. He was passed it for Premier League standards but the second biggest name in football history will be accommodated like he wants. United went from a Europa Cup finalist and PL top 3 to absolute shite. Cost 2 managers the job until the 3rd one said enough.

Ferrari is however here to not only succeed in Formula 1 but to sell an image and sell road cars. And Lewis with his 7 championships has a far wider reach than Charles. Yes Charles may have more crazy young fangirls right now but they can't afford to buy a Ferrari and aren't old enough. Lewis friends and reach can.

I literally read today that Ferrari will use all their testing days on Lewis ahead of the season. Usually it's both drivers throughout the year. It already started.

2019 is not 2025. Yes before Charles would never have left Ferrari but things have changed. He is no longer the same driver and the same person. He is no longer blinded by the Ferrari myth. People are stupid to think that he lets himself be overwhelmed by his emotions and that he does not know how to think properly. He will never accept playing second fiddle, if you think that he will quietly let Lewis win an 8th title without doing anything it means that you do not know Charles and that you have not followed his career. Fred knows this very well. I think people are naive to think that he will never be able to leave. If you have followed this season, you have seen that Charles no longer accepts everything from Ferrari and that he is not afraid to say it. Those who think that Charles will agree to wait for Lewis to win without doing anything are really stupid. All those who follow Charles know that this is something he will never accept. I think Fred knows what he's doing, he knows Charles and Lewis well. Lewis also knows where he's going, he knows what kind of driver Charles is. Ferrari is bigger than anything, even bigger than Lewis Hamilton. Despite all his talent, Lewis will need time to adapt to the team, it's a completely different system. And let's not act like he's going to Ferrari only for sporting reasons. He's preparing his life after retirement, he wants support for his projects. Mercedes didn't want to offer him that and that's also why he left. Personally I don't think he's going to win his 8th title

Unpopular opinion: max wants a second WDC fight with Lewis more than with Charles/ Lando, it would be like sonic vs shadow//

I think more than anything Max wants to fight Lewis again cause so many people think that ‘21 Wdc fight was more in Max’s favor, it would be cool to see him prove them wrong though.

Have Max prove he’s better than what people say he is, everyone thinks he’s car is a lot to do with it but I don’t think thats true and this year proved it.

There's only one fandom who thinks that. Neutral and Max fans think if it weren't for Silverstone and Bottas who went bowling in Hungary the title would be decided in Max's favour a lot sooner than Abu Dhabi.

To that one anon that said that Charles wouldn’t give Lewis a 8 Wdc before he gets one with Ferrari I don’t think it matters what Charles wants or thinks currently as it stands it seem like Lewis is getting favored against Charles and the season hasn’t even started yet, and I think a big part of that is cause sorry to say but Charles is like Lando they are too loyal to their respective teams and the teams know it will take a lot for them to leave. Ferrari knows they can walk all over Charles and he will still be there. I mean look at what happened in ‘22 they blew Charles chances and he didn’t leave. Even if Charles tries to fight Lewis we all know that team wouldn’t allow it.

The thing is that Ferrari doesn’t care about the emotional health of their drivers. They want to be the greatest team.

Get mad if you want. But things likes a 8WDC is what Ferrari loves in their text books.

I remember watching 5th of Schumi. The super celebration. No one since Fangio had a 5WDC.

Todt, Domenicali, Binotto. That was a super team. Not because another Ferrari driver won. But because having a 5WDC wearing red proved the legend that Ferrari is.

Then the 6WDC. Insane. Extasis everywhere even my family was celebrating (we weren’t Ferrari tho) and then the 7WDC. Epic.

They just want their glory back.

And the words of Fred yesterday about the team is 100% focused on getting Lewis ready for the season say something. He said that they are all focused on Lewis because he has weeks to understand the team, they don’t care about the car presentation and launch and they won’t do a driver presentation. They don’t want a show they want to win.

The man left a team build for and by him. To not win? Sorry what’s the logic. Fred didn’t said “hey come and leave everything you built for more than a decade to drive with us so Charles can win a WDC for Ferrari”

Anon is just an opinion based on the history of the team. Don’t get mad. We wear red. Is our team and it’s our sport. If Charles wins a WDC trust me I’ll cry my soul out. I saw that boy in sauber. And I believe in the profecy. The change of reglamentation has me nervous. Ferrari can’t get it right :( That’s why I said that Ferrari will give one shot to Lewis and then like okay sit back. and also… i don’t get why people are so sure lewis would do so well at ferrari lol obviously he’s great but when the team isn’t working that well operationally or the car isn’t that good, he shuts down and doesn’t drive at as high of a level as he could if he locked in because he doesn’t seem to find the motivation. unless ferrari has a big turn around i don’t see it tbh. plus hasn’t lewis only driven merc engines in f1? it’s a lot of adjustment

And my response was that Lewis wasn't this goodie PR person when he was younger either. His off track life was wilder than the lifestyle of the current drivers. But Mercedes and a lot of PR work went into making people forget it./ Ah, I understand now, thank you for explaining. I agree with you, he was very arrogant and scandal prone during his time at McLaren, once he moved to Mercedes he started curating his image and relying a lot on PR, now we get private, media trained, PR perfect Lewis. I think many don't know how reckless he was outside of F1 because a lot of F1 fans don't look into how Lewis was back then since people grow up and change. Anyway, I'm glad Max is not PR perfect, it's refreshing to see a no nonsense driver who speaks his mind.

I think this way:

1. Lewis Hamilton is a 7times world champion. The end of his career? Ive been watching f1 for more than 20 years. There were so many old drivers. Now its when more young people join. Like Capy said don’t think age means been bad. There are terrible young drivers lol

2. Charles won’t leave Ferrari. There’s no multiverse where he leaves. For many reasons:

A) shared dream with his father. Both dreamed about it he is living it. He won’t go rogue. The man has suffered a lot and it’s still there. 2019? Ringing any bell? Add that it was also his wish to Jules and you have the trifecta of Ferrari engraved in his heart.

B) where do you go? Ferrari is the highest of F1 even in Ferrari lowest. Ferrari is F1. “Ask a kid to draw a race car and it will be red, Ferrari red” so he will go where? Mercedes? The ones raising Kimi. McLaren? Raised Lando. No no. He will start and finish in Scuderia Ferrari.

C) the level of devotion that Ferrari has with Charles. I had never seen something like that since Stefano, Todt and Schumi era. The fact that the past owner on Ferrari on his death bed WISH CHARLES TO RUN IN FERRARI AND BE THEIR CHAMPION. You don’t know how it feels to Ferrari to have Charles. They don’t build him a church because they are busy racing.

Ferrari will tell Charles. Hey there’s a new regulation coming in 2026. We will go hard for Lewis, give him the 8th milk the shut out of it. And the rest of your career you’ll have a 7 times WDC as bodyguard. And Charles said ok.

Lewis just want the 8th. That’s it.

First let’s get a good car and then we debate which driver deserves Ferrari attention next year and on going.

I agree about Ferrari. It took me all of two minutes, but it's obvious, about Lewis and 8th wdc. Carlos is a decent driver, good one even, solid, consistent (not Charles, not Max, but a good cookie) and they had no problem to dump him without remorse. Just because Lewis appeard as an opportunity. I don't know where is Charles in this equation, but it will be tough.

But as much as some of us hate to admit it ofc Ferrari will focus on Lewis, you don't throw that kind of money at a driver, even a 7wdc, without giving him everything to win the 8th, and unless Charles outpreforms him in the start and by quite a bit, Lewis will be the priority, not saying it'll be a clear driver 1/driver 2 situation but 100% a priority

Then again maybe the best wdc strategy is to let the garadge focus on Lewis and not screw Charles races up

Ferrari should be careful because Lewis is nearing the end of his career. He won’t stay around for long. If they mishandle things with Charles, they’ll find themselves without a star driver. I know we joke about Charles’ undying love for Ferrari, but I think he’s capable of leaving if he doesn’t get what he wants. Before, I would never have said this, but now I believe he could really walk away. He said it himself, he’s won Monaco, his home race, and Monza twice. All he’s missing is the championship.He’s accomplished what he wanted, and now his focus is on winning a title. He’s also stated that if he no longer believes in the project, he’ll leave. Toward the end of the season, we saw that he’s fed up with Ferrari’s nonsense and is no longer as willing to sacrifice himself for the team. He won’t play a secondary role, and he’s made that clear. Ferrari doesn’t have as much control over him as they used to. In 2022, with all the chaos under Binotto, he nearly left.So, I think if Ferrari messes up their management, he’s capable of leaving. And he’ll get offers from other top teams. As for the prestige of winning a title with Lewis for Ferrari, I think it's the opposite. Ferrari wouldn’t get as much credit for winning with him. Lewis is already a 7-time world champion, a figure bigger than the sport itself. If he wins an 8th title with Ferrari, it won’t be seen as Ferrari giving Lewis the title; it’ll be viewed as Lewis saving Ferrari and bringing them another championship. That’s how the narrative will go.On the other hand, if Charles wins his first title with Ferrari, it’s a much bigger deal for them. The spotlight would be on Ferrari as the team that gave Charles his first championship. Charles is a driver who grew up with Ferrari; it would be a 100% Ferrari victory, the first graduate of the Ferrari Driver Academy to join the main team and bring the title back after so long. It would be like a prophecy fulfilled. Ferrari loves that kind of story.This is my opinion

PSG has nothing whatsoever to do with Messi finally winning the World Cup with Argentinia but they milked it A LOT. Rest assured Ferrari would milk the hell out of a historic 8th title of Lewis. People are dumb. They only remember the latest stories.
