Conclusion
It’s no secret that I’ve never been a huge fan of lip plumping products. The ingredient lists of lip plumpers usually contain cinnamon oil, capsaicin, ginger, mint, hyaluronic acid, alpha-hydroxy acids, wintergreen, retinol, etc. Some of these components are known to temporarily plump our lips by irritating them, while others cause a little puffiness as well as flush by boosting the flow of blood through them.
Macrene Actives is a toxic-free plant based skincare line formulated by Dr. Macrene Alexiades. She’s received her three degrees from Harvard University: a BA from Harvard University, an MD from Harvard Medical School and a PhD in Genetics from Harvard University. And, she was a Fulbright Scholar with a research award year in Europe!
When I read about a lip filler treatment formulated by a board certified dermatologist that was an alternative to lip fillers, I knew I had to try it for myself. This topical lip treatment noticeably plumps and conditions, while combating fine lines and wrinkles. Packed with a multitude of active and natural ingredients, it can be worn under or over your favorite lipstick to gradually and naturally fill and soften your pout.
Macrene Actives’ ‘High Performance Lip Filler’ is the key to achieving a plumper pout. It’s enriched with Hyaluronic Acid and Goldenrod Extract to help add volume, while an infusion of Dipalmitoyl Hydroxyproline Peptide minimizes the appearance of fine lines. Peppermint and Spearmint Oil leave behind a fresh scent. Dr Macrene created this specifically for people who didn’t want to get lip fillers.
The lip filler treatment goes on as a light oil with a minty scent. It’s easily absorbed and instantly providing moisture. If needed, you can layer something like Aquaphor ontop at night! This needs to be used 2-3 times a day for good results. This lip product was a total dream to use. A small amount went a long way and it didn’t cause any irritation or stinging. Within 2 weeks, I noticed plumper lips that had a visible difference in the plushness. My previously lined lips looked healthy and pouty. For anyone who wants plumper lips without resorting to fillers, this products comes highly recommended!

Review of I’m from’s Ginseng Eye Cream
I’m from is a Korean brand that has a strong focus on transparency and listing all of the ingredients they use in their products. Their Ginseng Eye Cream is designed to firm and tighten the skin, leaving it healthy and moisturized. Key ingredients include: 3.65% ginseng root extract (anti-aging, skin firming, improves skin health, brightening, nourishing), shea butter (moisturizing, nourishing, anti-inflammatory, anti-aging), jojoba seed oil (moisturizing, soothing, anti-aging), allantoin (softening, soothing, protecting, stimulates new cell growth), adenosine (anti-aging, promotes collagen and elastin production, anti-wrinkle), squalane (balances oil production, maintains clear and healthy skin, anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, moisturizing, reduces redness and swelling, softening, smoothing) and hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid (designed to easier penetrate the skin, stimulates collagen synthesis, moisturizing). This cream retails for between $24-32 USD, you can get it here for $24 + shipping. Use code DANNIEL15 to save 15 percent.
Ingredients
Water, Butylene Glycol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Panax Ginseng Root Extract (3.65%), Cetearyl Olivate, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sorbitan Olivate, Beeswax, Methylpropanediol, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Isododecane, Betaine, Xanthan Gum, Usnea Barbata (Lichen) Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Angelica Gigas Root Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Dimethicone, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Glyceryl Caprylate, Soluble Collagen, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Allantoin, Adenosine, Disodium EDTA, Pulsatilla Koreana Extract, Zanthoxylum Piperitum (Japanese Pepper) Fruit Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sorbitan Isostearate, Squalane, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Boswellia Serrata Resin Extract
To quickly note, I received this for free from Wishtrend for my honest review.
The cream comes in a glass pot of 30 grams (1.05 oz) and doesn't have a discernible scent.
Not a whole lot is needed, I've barely made a dent after a few months.
It's a pretty thick and emollient cream.
It doesn't feel heavy, however.
It does a great job of smoothing the texture of the skin and it's hydrating, leaving a glow.
Recommended use as an eye cream: apply toner and smooth out skin texture. Take an appropriate amount and apply lightly around the eyes and gently tap until it is fully absorbed. If using it as a facial moisturizer, take an appropriate amount during the cream stage of your skincare and apply it evenly over the entire face and let it absorb. The cream is cruelty-free, pH balanced, and free of artificial coloring. After using, this cream does contain one irritant which is supposed to be numbing, though I've never noticed it myself, but keep that in mind if you're very sensitive around eyes like me. I didn't personally opt to use it for my whole face even though it would be a good option as it's twice the size of most eye creams. The cream is a rich, thick consistency but it's also not heavy on the skin. It spreads onto the skin very smoothly and I didn't notice any pilling or up, even under makeup. It soaks in well and is very nourishing. I think this cream is actually suitable for any skin type as it's very moisturizing and fairly gentle even though it's not technically fragrance-free. But there is no noticeable scent or anything that could cause the eyes to tingle, I also had no issue using it on my eyelids. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone, especially people looking for a very rich eye cream.
What I like: this cream is really gentle, moisturizing, and nourishing. It's safe on the eyelids and I didn't notice any kind of irritation. The ingredients are also quite nice. The texture of the cream is very nice and emollient and it doesn't pill or bunch up. What I don't like: I wish it was fragrance-free and there is an irritant that could potentially feel numbing or tingly on the skin.
Pros:
Moisturizing
Nourishing
Hydrating
Rich
Emollient
Little goes a long way
Gentle
Can be used on the eyelids
Cons:
Not fragrance-free
Would I buy this?
Yes
Rating: 9.5/10

Medium-chain Triglycerides Market Size, Trending Technologies with Growth Outlook, Regional Analysis and Challenges to 2030
Introduction to Medium-chain Triglycerides:
Medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) are a type of fat molecule composed of medium-length fatty acid chains. They are commonly found in coconut oil, palm kernel oil, and dairy products. Unlike long-chain triglycerides (LCTs), which are the predominant type of fat in the diet, MCTs have a unique structure that allows them to be rapidly absorbed and metabolized in the body.
MCTs are named based on the length of their fatty acid chains. Typically, medium-chain fatty acids have 6 to 12 carbon atoms, with the most common MCTs being caproic acid (C6), caprylic acid (C8), capric acid (C10), and lauric acid (C12). Among these, caprylic acid and capric acid are considered to be the most desirable due to their health benefits and easy digestion.
One of the main advantages of MCTs is their ability to provide a quick source of energy. Unlike other dietary fats that need to be broken down in the digestive system and transported through the lymphatic system before reaching the bloodstream, MCTs are rapidly absorbed and transported directly to the liver, where they are quickly converted into energy. This makes MCTs an efficient energy source, especially for individuals with compromised fat absorption or those needing quick energy, such as athletes.
Market Overview:
The medium-chain triglycerides market has been experiencing significant growth in recent years. This growth can be attributed to several factors, including the increasing consumer demand for healthy and functional foods, the rising awareness of the health benefits associated with MCTs, and the expanding applications of MCTs in various industries such as food and beverages, dietary supplements, personal care, and pharmaceuticals.
Health Benefits of Medium-chain Triglycerides:
MCTs offer several health benefits, which have contributed to their popularity among consumers. Some of the key benefits include:
• Weight Management: MCTs have been found to promote weight loss by increasing satiety and boosting metabolism. • Energy Source: MCTs are quickly converted into energy, making them an excellent source of fuel for athletes and individuals on low-carb or ketogenic diets. • Brain Function: MCTs are believed to enhance cognitive function and support brain health. • Heart Health: MCTs have been shown to help improve lipid profiles by increasing HDL (good) cholesterol and reducing LDL (bad) cholesterol levels. • Digestive Health: MCTs possess antimicrobial properties and can aid in the absorption of nutrients, supporting digestive health.
Market Segmentation:
• Source: Coconut oil-derived MCTs and palm kernel oil-derived MCTs are the most common sources. • Form: MCTs are available in liquid and powder forms to cater to various applications. • Application: MCTs are used in food and beverages, dietary supplements, personal care products, and pharmaceuticals.
Market Trends and Drivers:
Several trends and drivers are fueling the growth of the MCT market:
• Increasing Health Consciousness: Consumers are becoming more health-conscious, seeking out functional foods and ingredients with proven health benefits. • Growing Demand for Natural and Clean Label Products: There is a rising demand for natural and clean label products, driving the preference for MCTs derived from natural sources. • Adoption of Ketogenic and Low-Carb Diets: The popularity of ketogenic and low-carb diets has increased the demand for MCTs as an energy source and weight management aid. • Product Innovation and Diversification: Companies are continuously innovating and developing new MCT products and applications to cater to a broader customer base.
Competitive Landscape:
The medium-chain triglycerides market is highly competitive, with several key players dominating the industry. Some of the prominent companies operating in this market include:
Nutricia Advanced Medical Nutrition Nestle SA BASF SE Stepan Company Jarrow Formulas NOW Foods Koninklijke DSM N.V. Wilmar International Limited Croda International Plc Lonza Group Ltd.
Regulations and Safety:
MCTs are generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by regulatory authorities such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). However, it's essential for manufacturers to adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements specific to their target markets.
Future Outlook:
The medium-chain triglycerides market is expected to continue its growth trajectory in the coming years. Factors such as increasing consumer awareness, expanding applications, and technological advancements in production processes are likely to drive the market. Additionally, the growing demand for natural and clean label products is expected to create new opportunities for MCT manufacturers.
It's worth noting that market trends and conditions can change over time, so it's important to refer to the latest industry reports and market research for the most up-to-date information on the Medium-chain Triglycerides market.
