I don't think I'll ever forgive acosf for making you angry enough (justifiedly) to give up on Tidal:') Stumbling across another Pacific Rim-AU for another fandom made me go back to it, since it was Tidal that made me watch it and love it in the first place; the re-read was so worth it, omg<3<3 Muslim!Az and Cassian, baby-Feyre, (as well as littlest brother Rhysand, loool), Nesta's scars like lace, Elain with a FLAMETHROWER (also it not being Nesta's even when she is the one always likened to flames), Nesta's anger when Cassian gets hurt, her grief, Cassian's longing for connection, I could go on. It's all immaculate, and I don't think I've stopped thinking about it since reading it for the first time 5 years ago. brb, gonna reread Red Qeen and suffer for a while:')

Cannot understate how delighted I am to even remember Tidal exists! I haven't looked at it in so long, and am now just. cooing at the Asani-Archeron-Vanserra nightmare clan.

Acosf did making writing Cassian feel so impossible, but here are my favorite plot points of part two:

Cassian almost drowning during a testing procedure because he's busy thinking about a)having just seen Nesta kiss Mor on the cheek, b) WAIT, c) if she is???, d)if she isn't??, e) the skin-shrinking out of this world embarrassment that she's doubtless already sussed out everything on his mind

Nesta aggressively making sure the jaeger actually looks like. exactly how Cassian wanted. she WAS listening to all his jokes

Speaking of aggression, Nesta's abject bitchyness/secret having a raised a younger sibling reasoning actually getting through to Rhys, feat. Feyre simultaneously insta-adopting Cassian while being lowkey wretchedly jealous of him

Halima Asani off in her chic Paris apartment hmmmming at Az's weekly phone call and then hmmmming more at Rhysands letters and then taking one single look at Cassian's face and understanding EXACTLY what is happening

the living in each others heads factor of going immediately from flirting to fighting to murdering kaiju to ripping off each others clothes feat. the destruction of military property and no real talking

I am just realizing there is not a single mention of Azriel's boyfriend in part one? Azriel's Gibraltar go team secret boyfriend who is the other end of the coffee exchange. There's sweet tea based courting and weird kaiju skull gifting, they're fantastic
