Hello again to all my cannabis loving and canna-curious friends, and welcome back to another episode of The First 90 Minutes! Today, we will be toking and talking about an awesome Sativa-dominant bud I picked up from my friend Anthony K. over at Sira Naturals in Somerville, Tardis. The product of crossing Oregon Diesel and Trainwreck, this little flower yields THC levels of up to 21.2%, and has been reported to leave patients feeling uplifted, happy, talkative, creative, and euphoric. Today, I am going to be medicating with Tardis to combat anxiety, depression, and fatigue, and this strain has been recommended for those battling these symptoms, along with nausea and headaches. The potential side effects that I will be watching out for are dry mouth, dry eyes, anxiety, and paranoia. Now that we have run through through the background portion of this product, let’s jump ahead and see what this baby can do! So without further ado, let’s light up, sit back, and relax as we toke and talk about the first 90 minutes!
Opening up the bag, the first scent that hits me is the smell of diesel, followed by the scent of earth. I am starting this medication session off at 8:42 a.m., with two hits from my OG Chillum glass piece. This yields flavor profiles of diesel and earth, very closely matching the aroma of this bud. By 8:44 a.m., I can feel a sense of relaxation setting in, along with a calming cerebral buzz. At 8:53 a.m., my anxiety and racing thoughts are decreasing at a rapid pace, and the calming cerebral effects are also making me feel quite focused. Although I do not feel any significant changes in the way of mood uplift, I am finding that my entire physical and mental being is extremely relaxed, yet functional. This is exceptionally great because it is allowing me to keep busy and get tasks done while medicated.
At 9:12 a.m., I am super focused and am riding on a really nice energy boost. Now I am noticing the mood uplift, and my anxiety has completely subsided at this point. Currently, I am completely lost in my music and cleaning, just focusing on what I want to get done and losing myself in it. The bodily relaxation on this is a bit wild. I feel relaxed all the way to my core, but I do not feel couchlocked. I am also finding that I am able to multitask pretty easily. Thus far, I have not experienced any negatives. At 9:42 a.m., I am on an extreme cleaning kick. It is like every negative emotion I was feeling has been drained from my body, removing all tension and stress. I am able to be lost in the moment, and enjoy getting lost in things like cleaning. In a sense, my physical body feels as though it is on autopilot. My mind is conscious and zoned into what I am doing, but my body is just so relaxed and going through the motions. Still no negatives at this time.
As we round the corner to our 90 minute mark at 10:12 a.m., I can definitely feel a shift in how I feel, but the effects have in not yet worn off. The cerebral buzz is beginning to mellow a bit, but it is bringing forth an amazingly clear and focused mindset with a very happy, euphoric, and upbeat mood. My energy levels are still high, and although I am still relaxed, the sense of relaxation is not nearly as intense as it had been. Some of the ruminating thoughts have begun to return, but they are more passive than anything, and have not yet caused a return of my anxiety. I have continued to not experience any negatives with this strain.
As we wind down with my final thoughts, I’d like to touch on the differences between my Tardis Rosin Cartridge review results and my Tardis flower results. I noticed that there are some differences between the effects, and although environmental factors definitely contribute to that, the largest factor in my eyes is potency. The Tardis Rosin Cartridge is a concentrate, which is more potent. I vaped two hits on medium heat. With the flower, I smoked two hits with a small glass piece, which is not as strong as the concentrated version. On both versions I did clock roughly the same length of relief time, at just under two hours. Just to be sure, I wanted to test my theory regarding the potency of the flower vs the cartridge, so I tried medicating at a much higher dose, which definitely gave me a more similar experience to what I felt with the cartridge. So I can honestly say, if you want to get up and do things, one or two hits will do.
Despite the differences in my experience between the Rosin Cartridge and the bud, I still have to give this strain 5 stars ⭐️ . First, I had no negatives during this test. Second, the effects were amazing. Not only did they target my anxiety, depression, and fatigue, but it gave me an amazing energy boost that allowed me to get things done that led to an additional decrease in anxiety because I was able to cross things off of my to-do list. This is an amazing strain in either form, and it is something I would absolutely use again as well as would recommend to others who are looking for help with anxiety and depression, especially for those who really need help with decreasing racing thoughts and finding ways to distract their minds from negative thoughts. Sira, this is another amazing product for the books, keep up the awesome work!

This is an intro to terpenes and how they affect modern cannabis we smoke today. 
Terpenes are what gives the cannabis plant its taste, flavour and smell. Terpenes or “terps are part of what produces THC and can also help the effect that the strain has. They can be found in all plants, foods, flowers and even a select few animals. There are over 200 terpenes 150 of which are found in the cannabis plant. There are 10 primary and 20 secondary. The ten primary ones are Alpha-humulene, Limonene, Alpha- Pinene, Myrcene, Linalool, Beta-Caryophyllene,Terpinolene, Ocimene, Eucalyptol and Geraniol. Many things can affect terpene development like type of soil,age of the plant, weather and climate. They also help protect the plant by acting as a sunblock, as well as help protect the plant from bacteria and pests. Terpenes, THC and CBD work together harmoniously this is known as the entourage effect. Some terpenes help cannabinoids move into our bloodstream faster. Let’s talk about some of these primary terpenes, what they do and how they can help us choose the strains that are right for us. 
Delta 3 Carene:
This terpene is found in a lot of other foods and plants like rosemary, basil, bell peppers and in most conifer trees. Delta 3 Carene has a smell like cedar and pepper but tastes slightly sour like lemons. Carene is found mostly in sativa strains. It is known for its medicinal uses such as helping to repair bones or boost bone healing. This has shown to be amazing for people who suffer from fibromyalgia and arthritis. Delta 3 Carene is also a very potent anti-inflammatory especially in acute cases. Studies show when Carene is combated with the cannabinoid CBD it can stop memory loss. This lesser known terpene comes from the geranium plant. Honey bees produce Geraniol as a territorial mechanism and to make honey. One medical use for it is it reduces tumor properties in cancer cells and also preventing the growth of colon cancer. Geraniol can be found in Harlequin, Lemon OG, Agent Orange nd Tahoe OG. 
Myrcene:
Myrcene is the most common terpene in cannabis today. It can also be found in hops, lemongrass and mango. We can noticed that most indica strains are over .5% myrcene. Sativa on the other hand usually has under .5% Myrcene. This suggests myrcene has very relaxing effects. Myrcene has been used medically in the past as a sleep aid and muscle relaxant. This terp can be found in strains like OG Kush, AK-47, Grand Daddy Purple and White Widow.
