Horrible Horrible Service Airbnb!! Details of the disaster we had to face Long post

I do not know if this is the right place for the post, but here we go.TDR: Place was not cleaned and was filthy even 5 hr after the check in time, and the host is very greedy and rude, Airbnb would not do anything!!Horrible Horrible Service Airbnb!! Details of the disaster we had to face :City of Rental: Montreal,CanadaHost: Yat(formerly) now it says his name is Erichttps://www.airbnb.com/users/show/123447923Do not use this host.Check in Date /Time of Booking : July 5, 2018/ 2PM- July 7,2018/ 11 amDate/Time of Our Arrival: July 5, 2018/7PM(5 hrs late)Condition of the place we rented: a pile of trash on the entryway, key not in the mailbox as promised, host not responding to calls.We tried to knock the door to see if anyone will open and the doors opened wide-The door was unlocked!!! We walked upstairs and the attached pictures will speak louder than any words.The place was unlivable, filthy and yucky.The sheets were dirty/stained, all the beds looked like someone just woke up and left.Floors were dirty, bathroom floors filthy....nothing like a place that you would pay to go live in...just horrible!!We called the host multiple times- no answer.We then texted him stating we will be reaching out to Airbnb next.Then he calls back and verbally agrees to refund.We started looking for a place to stay for that night.We called Airbnb..were put on hold for ever.Finally hung up opting to be called back in half hour.The call came hours later from Cambodia, disconnecting multiple times.Few days later they said that because their dishonest thug host denied the refund, we will not be refunded..plain and simple, did not attempt any investigation, did not ask for pictures, did not even ask enough questions, did not try to hear the customer out.Hence, saying out loud that Airbnb does not back the customers at all!!!With two toddlers and no place to go at 7PM , we went looking for a place during a completely ruined vacation of ours.The pictures will tell the tale.To all that this post will reach...think multiple times before trusting Airbnb or its hosts.Especially Mr. Yat aka Eric.Please read all his replies to the reviewers who have not had good experience, he will not be any short on bashing them or blaming them.I went and read the reviews for this host again and I see some complaints which he has not handled well at all so we saw no point in posting anything there as it is very clear that Airbnb does not care.New business strategy: list your place for vacation rental, keep it filthy so that travelers come discover the filth and leave wanting to cancel..ruin someones vacation and make money for doing so.With Airbnb backing your dishonesty...just dont apologize or refund or offer to help..instead post negative reviews about the traveler..seriously!! who is taking money for providing service here???Steal money for doing nothing and possibly re-rent the place...Amazing!!!Unethical and Dishonest ...just Rip Off!!
