what has been happening in the world of motorsports lately?
below, you will find a collection of various motorsports related news i have collected over the past two weeks:
FIA, the rules and 2026 onwards
new Concorde Agreement is currently in talks to be ready for 2026 and teams received a draft of it, here is what is being considered/discussed now
the new increased cost cap limit should be $220 mil with number of exceptions not falling under it being reduced (they even discussed maternity leave not being included, but that was immediately denied, another part that now shouldn’t fall under the cost cap are team building activities like Christmas parties etc)
the historical Ferrari bonus for staying in the sport should remain, but will be capped from now on to 5 % of the price pool (no matter the total amount)
they are also discussing a „fund“ of $200 m for new teams so current teams wouldn’t be afraid of losing money (also the starting price for the new team should be SIGNIFICANTLY risen up)
Thailand’s Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin met with Stefano Domenicali in Imola to discuss a possible Bangkok GP (according to Autosport they want to get Red Bull backing for the 2027/2028 project)
Ollie has been criticizing the new anti-spray wheel covers F1 introduced and tested during Ferrari filming day in Fiorano and FIA officially scratched the project for now
F1 commission wants more diversity from team’s liveries so they will be discussing potential changes (like percentage of car that has to be painted or other solutions)
Ben Sulayem suggested that Andretti could buy an existing team to get into F1, so there is also the possibility of a maximum of 10 teams to be set in the new Concorde Agreement
Red Bull Ring extended both F1 and MotoGP contracts till 2030
Mario Isola said that they more or less finalized the slick tyres construction for 2025 BUT are looking to introduce a new C6 compound which would be softer and suitable for street circuits as there is more and more of them on the calendar
F1 might have special rules for tracks with long straights to prevent maximum usage of engine performance by downshifting from 2026 onwards (don’t ask, I’m glad to downshift when going uphill)
other teams and other racing series
Pat Symonds left the position of F1 CTO and joined Andretti Cadillac (or technically will join after his gardening leave runs out)
Jak Crawford will be testing Aston Martin this Wednesday
Doriane Pin sadly fractured her ribs, so she will be missing 24 hours of Le Mans and FRECA in Zandvoort, so she will be back for F1 Academy race in Barcelona
Steward-Haas racing will end in Nascar series at the end of the year, but Gene Haas said it is just business and person decision and it doesn’t reflect any loss of commitment or anything and doesn’t affect other series including the F1 team
Nyck de Vries scored his first points in FE since returning into the series after F1 (and he would score more if it wasn’t for McLaren. why is it always a McLaren)
Saudi Arabia will host the rally championship from 2025 to 2035
Ferrari
Fred Vasseur said that Ferrari brought minor upgrades to Monaco (track related), and they have many more planned with a bigger package coming in Silverstone
Ferrari did more wet tyre testing for Pirelli in Paul Ricard
Marc Gene (Ferrari… representative, sort of ambassador, spokesperson etc) was on F1 Nation podcast and said that while as a team Ferrari doesn’t want to only focus on winning the driver/constructor titles and they want to celebrate Charles’ win, it is also inevitable that they will start thinking about it and how open it may be if we continue with the upgrade plan like this
apparently, Ferrari are considering using the same suspension as most teams use (pull rod on the front) to get more gains from their upgrades – but that’s something for 2025 as it is a big change and requires chassis change and complete design overthrowing
Ferrari is investing in electrification plant to produce batteries and electric cars and Formula E CEO Jeff Dodds kinda suggested that they might enter FE as well because it could help boost the championship popularity thanks to Ferrari’s dedicated tifosi and the heritage they bring to any racing series (but if anything, it is just innocent discussions at this point)
Red Bull
Red Bull extended their chief engineer Paul Monaghan’s contract to keep him in the team
Red Bull bought minor stake in Leeds United and will supply them with shirts with Red Bull logo from next season
Helmut Marko was pretty mad about the Monaco crash with estimated costs of 2-3m, he said they might postpone some upgrades with how much it was worth and also there is a possibility of Checo being given grid drop penalty since he might change some components
Alpine
Craig Slater and Ted Kravitz reported that Esteban might sit out Canadian GP after Bruno Famin was livid about his drivers lap 1 contact and even spoke about Jack Doohan and Mick Schumacher but Esteban spoke out against the online abuse he has been getting and confirmed he will be racing in Canada
Alpine fired another employee, this time Rob White who was their operations director for the longest time ever
Alpine are reportedly looking to hire Briatore (lol)
Monaco GP
one photographer got injured in the collision of Checo, Nico and Kevin, he was released from the medical center shortly after and it was just minor injury
Monaco GP scored biggest live US TV audience with peak of 2.3 million on ABC
Fernando didn’t know he was out of points the whole Monaco GP, he said he thought he was running in p10 that whole time
Monaco might see some changes next year concerning the banners on the barriers after they already had to take off some of them between quali and race since both Lando and Charles had some pretty big issues after taking part of it in their car and loosing valuable aero points
Mercedes
Mercedes decided to change the front wing which raised questions about its legality at the start of the year (only George was running the updated version in Monaco, they compared the data with Lewis who will get it in Canada)
there has been some talking about Mercedes and if they treat their drivers differently because Lewis has been talking about set ups and upgrades and mentioned that he never had a chance to beat George (tbh I think he was genuinely just referring to the fact that George chose to use the new wing in Monaco) – although, Lewis is probably already getting cut off from certain meetings and decisions and upgrade plans because of his move to Ferrari
Mercedes opened a pop-up shop in Montreal ahead of the Canadian GP
there are a lot of whispers about the Mercedes engines for 2026 and that it is the main reason why Alex extended his contract in Williams under the promise of a strong car from 2026 onwards (don’t ask for source because I didn’t write it down but apparently “in Mercedes the feelings are similar to 2014”)
Williams
James Vowles spoke to Autosport and mentioned that all teams will struggle with weight limit in 2026 with the new rules because the new cars are expected to be much heavier (on the other hand it is not such a surprise when we look back at 2022 and how big of a challenge the weight of the cars was to teams)
he also said that they will bring much more performance over the next few GPs, with upgrades coming in Canada that should help with their weight issues (some rumours talk about improvement of over 4 tenths per lap)
differently related motorsport news
Prince Albert II has a new exhibition at his Cars Collection: Ferrari F1 in Monaco, it includes single seaters driver by Schumacher, Lauda, Gilles Villeneuve, Vettel or Charles Leclerc’s two races winning SF90
World Stars Football Match which was originally scheduled for Tuesday before the GP at 7pm in Monaco, got cancelled this year
last April Die Aktuelle published an interview with “Michael Schumacher” which was AI made, Michael’s family received financial compensation over the claims
Pride month started and some teams changed their logos or posted supportive messages, we might see some livery changes as well (but on a serious note, apparently, we have the first homophobe of the month in motorsports and it is unsurprisingly Santino Ferrucci with his comments towards Herta and Kirkwood)
F1 24 Driver Ratings have been posted (griding my teeth)
Ferrari, Mercedes, Red Bull, McLaren, Williams and Alpine already confirmed to be at Goodwood festival of speed this year
Las Vegas GP organizers promised to tone down the driver PR duties after bad feedback from the drivers and also promised better solutions for local residents when they already have experience from the previous year
drivers related news
Charles has now officially adopted Oscar and F1 ran with it and included “Oscar Piastri-Leclerc” in the official graphics
F1 24 sim race in Monaco happened, Charles won both quali and race, Alex was second in quali and third in the race
both Alpine boys went to Cannes festival
Charles went to APM Monaco promo evening with Alexandra and Arthur
Maria Sharapova posted a picture from an interview with Lewis and added a caption “a sad pop album in the works” and some people speculated that Lewis will be publishing an album, but tbh I think it was just the “vibes”
Lewis appeared on Hot Ones this past Thursday
silly season
Craig Slater is reporting that Carlos to Mercedes is already off the table because they only offered him a one year contract and they don’t want to sign anyone soon, because they are waiting for Max’s possible move and if that won’t be happening, they want to wait some more till around August/September to sign Kimi Antonelli, while Carlos wants his future decided as soon as possible
Autosport reported Carlos being in advanced talks with Williams
Helmut Marko is adamant that Sebastian Vettel keeps calling him about a free seat, but he insists that it wouldn’t be good for him to go against Max
Esteban is reportedly looking for a way out of the team and is in talks with Audi (if Carlos declines the offer) and Haas (which Komatsu confirmed to media saying they are speaking with both French drivers)
Michael Schmidt reported that Ferrari is no longer interested in Adrian Newey, but he remains in contact with Williams, McLaren, Mercedes, and Aston Martin
and there is a video of Newey signing a Ferrari flag in Monaco and because of this (and a few Italian sources that claim Newey already signed a contract with Ferrari), his manager Eddie Jordan had to deny all the rumours that he signed with Ferrari
on the other hand, Giedo van der Garde said to Viaplay that Newey has already been signed by Vasseur
Michelle Foster believes that Dale Coyne Racing in IndyCar might sign Mick if he doesn’t find a spot on the F1 grid for next year
Mercedes denied that Kimi and Mick would do direct shootouts about who gets the Mercedes seat, because the lap times were set in different conditions, weather, times etc. (but also there are rumors that Kimi was faster than both Mick and George and that Mercedes board agreed on taking Kimi from 2025 onwards)
since Binotto was in the paddock in Imola, there was a lot of talk about him potentially going to some other teams (he was linked to Aston Martin by Speedweek and to Alpine, but also Aston Martin already denied they would be hiring him)
Valtteri “denied” he is trying to get the Williams seat and said he is only coming to their hospitality because quote they have good coffee unquote (never change, you icon)
Joe Saward said that Wiliams should reportedly offer Carlos 2 years contract and if he agrees, it could be announced ahead of Spanish GP (or during)
Motorsport.com reported that Enrico Cardile could leave Ferrari for Aston Martin (one reason being a lucrative offer, the second one being the rumoured signing of Adrian Newey which could diminish Cardile’s role in the technical department)
Gazzetta predicts that Carlos’ main priority to drive for Red Bull in 2026 with the new regs and that to do that he might take one year offer from Williams
Yuki and Esteban are favourites for Audi if Carlos doesn’t take up their offer for the 2025 seat
Carlos Miquel believes that Carlos might sign with VCARB in hopes of getting the RBR seat in the future
apparently Marko wants to promote Lawson and offer him Daniel Ricciardo's seat but Daniel has Horner's backing not to be fired - if Yuki moves to a different team, we might as well get Daniel and Liam in RB from 2025 onwards
(side note: Red Bull apparently has an announcement to make which could or could not be related to Checo's contract)

24H Le Mans Test Day Report
The day was divided into two sessions, both 3 hours in length. There were a few drivers missing part of (or all of) testing with IndyCar, DTM, Formula 1 and Porsche races taking place the same weekend.
All IndyCar drivers missed all of the testing. Drivers missing testing are supposed to pay some form of a fine, but anyone competing in IndyCar is exempt from that.
Because of teams missing some drivers, several teams opted to choose some reserve drivers for the test. Teams are allowed to put a maximum of 5 drivers on the entry list. Not all drivers ran in the cars they were assigned to.
Session 1
Toyota's Kamui Kobayashi finished the session on top in the #7 car with a 3:28.467, already beating the fastest testing time last year by 2 seconds. Kevin Estre was 2nd in the #6 Porsche with a 3:29.270 and Robin Frijns was third in the #20 BMW with a 3:29.433
In LMP2 Job van Uitert was fastest in the #28 IDEC Sport car with a 3:37.044. He was followed by the #22 of Oliver Jarvis and third was the #14 of Louis Delétraz. The #14 was also fasted in LMP2 Pro/Am though the time was set by a Pro.
In LMGT3 the #78 Akkodis ASP Lexus was on top with a lap from Kelvin van der Linde who later travelled to Zandvoort for the DTM Race. Van der Linde set a 4:00.106. His teammate, Esteban Masson in the #87 Lexus was half a second behind him. Third was Sean Gelael in the #31 Team WRT BMW.
The session saw several interruptions, the first coming from the #3 Cadillac driven by Renger van der Zande. The driver came to a stop during his out lap on the run down to Indianapolis. The car had a fuel line issue. Race Control first opted for a slow zone, but this was later turned into a short red flag.
Following the red flag, Race Control simulated the new safety car procedure for this year which took a while.
During the session two LMP2 cars (the #33 and #47) suffered front suspension issues.
Later in the session a FCY was called as the #87 Lexus was stopped at the exit of the Dunlop Chicane, the car could continue. Only minutes later, there was another Yellow as the #15 BMW of Dries Vanthoor came to a halt. The team told Vanthoor to stop the car as they found abnormalities in the engine. The team eventually opted for an engine change which saw their running today severely interrupted.
The session eventually ended under a red flag as the #37 Cool Racing car of Lorenzo Fluxa went off at the exit of the Porsche Curves. This was the biggest accident of the session as the car was damaged on several corners. Fluxa was said to be ok by the team.
There were several stop and go penalties given due to track limits.

Session 2
Porsche ended the test day with a 1-2 with a 3:26.907 by Kevin Estre in the #6 followed by Felipe Nasr who set a 3:27.142 in the #4.
Times were several seconds quicker than last year with lighter cars and very favourable weather aiding to that. Most cars set their fastest time in the second session.
In LMP2 Oliver Jarvis in the #25 APR Car led the field by over a second with a 3:34.704. He was followed by the #25 of Olli Caldwell who set a 3:35.981. James Allen was third in the #30 in the Duqueine car. The car was also quickest in LMP2 Pro/Am though the time was set by a Pro
In LMGT3 Sebastien Baud set the fastest lap with a 3:59.883 in the #82 TF Sport Corvette. Alex Tiberias followed with a 3:59.920 in the #27 Heart Of Racing Aston Martin. Augusto Farfus equalled his time in the #31 BMW while Sean Gelael was only 2 thousands slower in the same car.
The first interruption of the session came when the #10 Vector Sport LMP2 went off at Indianapolis. According to dailysportscars.com the team already wrote off a chassis during testing at Spa last week. Making this incident another big blow to the team.
During the red flag the #19 Lamborghini spun at Arnage and then drove almost 100M in the opposite direction to the way the track goes. The driver, Matteo Cairoli has had 1 penalty point withdrawn on his license and has been given a suspended 30 seconds stop and go penalty for the race. This means that if he repeats this infringement during any of the sessions next week, this penalty will be handed out.
Later in the session the #14 AO Racing car caused a slow zone followed by a safety car. PJ Hyett tried to overtake an LMGT3 car but instead made contact at the wall at Indianapolis.
Another incident took place somewhere during the session when the #47 Cool Racing Car had contact with the #88 Ford Mustang. The driver of the #47 was deemed at fault but only a warning was given.
During the closing minutes the #7 of Kamui Kobayashi went off at Indianapolis. This caused a red and a premature end to the session.

Day of Judgement: Part 1
Something had to give. Too many people were getting hurt, getting caught up in what should have been his fight. His friends were one thing. But now, Professor Hawkins...
Yugi shifts against a sleeping Joey, where the two of them rested against each other in one of the bench seats of the Hawkins' RV. Across the table, Tristan and Duke snooze in a smiliar fashion.
The conversation between Yugi and his Other is quiet, spoken inside their hearts, communicated with feelings more than words. They both know what it feels like to worry about their Grandpa. Yugi glances over at the door to the RV's little bedroom at the back, where Téa and Rebecca sleep. He owes it to her to find him. To bring him home. To do so without endangering anyone else.
Yugi moves slowly, slipping out from under Joey's arm, careful not to wake the other man. He dons his jacket, his shoes, his Duel Disk, and quietly leaves the RV.
He has to Duel Doma's Three Musketeers. He has to win. Even if that means condemning his opponent to the cruel fate of the Seal of Orichalcos.
Those three have been with him through everything. They've seen the Shadow Games. They knew him at his worst.
But he can't let them see that side of him again.
He glances at Duke's Cadillac, considers for a moment. But he's never driven before, and the roar of the classic engine would surely wake everyone. He wanders from the RV, past the charred remains of the Professor's house and to the stables behind.
They don't need to speak, they share the same memories of that horse camp in middle school.
It's awkward, especially at first. But somehow, some sort of instinct takes over as the Other Yugi does too, sitting there on Rebecca's beloved horse Billy. But awkward as it is, he manages to coax the horse out of his stables, and into the desert, chasing the location left for him by Doma's Musketeers.
The ride seems to go on forever, but his heart keeps him going, even as the ranch falls far out of view behind him. He's not sure how he knows the way. Maybe it's destiny guiding him, or Timaeus on his deck. Maybe it's that little stone he's been wearing around his neck since that Duel back in Domino City.
But eventually, he sees another person. The tallest member of the trio, the man who called himself Raphael, standing expectantly across a rickety suspension bridge.
Yugi's heart pounds in his chest.
He brings Billy to a stop, nearly tumbling to the dusty ground as he dismounts. But that little fumble hardly deters him, as he turns to fix an icy, piercing glare on the man across the chasm.
"This ends here, Raphael," he growls as he marches, confidently, across the precarious bridge.

Modern!AU Phantom of the Opera Headcanons Part 1: Driving
I don’t know what possessed me to think of these, but here are some modern!AU headcanons of what kind of drivers the Phantom crew (Christine, Erik, Raoul, and Daroga/Nadir Khan) are. Enjoy!
Christine:
She is a BAD driver
Every ride with her ends in a wreck
She just gets distracted too easily and can’t focus (especially when her passengers are talking or playing music)
Is on first-name basis with the people at her insurance company, it’s that bad
Definitely eats and drives
ALWAYS wears a seatbelt and insists everyone else in the car do the same
The term “passenger princess” was invented for her
Can change a tire really fast (her dad taught her how when she was a kid and she remembers to this day)
Probably drives something cute like a VW Beetle or Mini Cooper, dream car is something vintage (Pontiac, Cadillac)
Has a couple punny bumper stickers
Erik:
Does not have a driver’s license (for good reason)
Drives like he’s in a car chase even if he’s just going to the grocery store
Daroga has lost years of his life as a passenger when Erik’s driving
He’s skilled, just reckless AF
Music is always turned up to the max
It’s giving Baby Driver (2017)
Seatbelt? Never heard of her, if we die we die
You haven’t seen road rage until you’ve seen this guy’s road rage
When he’s not driving, he is the WORST backseat driver
I’m thinking a black 1967 Ford Mustang (classic, sleek, timeless)
Raoul:
Family bought him his first car when he turned 16 (Porsche or something fancy)
He wrecked it like a week later while out with his friends, his brother made him pay out of his own pocket to get it fixed, he learned his lesson
Loves his car a little too much
Under NO circumstances can you bring food into his car
Christine spilled her coffee in his car once and they almost broke up over it
Pretty decent driving record, has a few speeding tickets and a suspension but that’s about it
Definitely the guy who insists he doesn’t need a GPS, but actually doesn’t know directions (Christine always has to pull up Google Maps and guide them back to civilization when they get lost)
Daroga:
Designated driver 24/7 (he’s the only responsible one)
Perfect driving record (he got a parking violation once, argued with the people over the phone about it so much that they just dropped it)
Usually it’s him driving, Christine in the passenger seat, and Erik and Raoul in the back fighting like siblings
“You two better behave or I will turn this car around!” - Daroga, at some point
Will yell at you for turning on the overhead light, complains he cannot see due to the reflection (he’s so dad-coded I swear)
Drives a Mercedes or some other fancy minivan
The other three always ask him for help when moving something heavy, since he has the biggest car (it annoys him but he does it anyway)
I’m thinking of making these modern!AU headcanons a series, so stick around for more or reply with ideas for more headcanons!

hello!
an article came out recently about alpine’s pre-contract with andretti about supplying an engine running out. i read something about how if andretti were to request an engine, alpine/renault can’t deny it. does that mean manufacturer teams can’t say no to supplying engines? or is that just in the case that they aren’t supplying to anyone?
i imagine there’s a conflict with renault not wanting cadillac to put their name near an engine that isn’t their’s but mclaren and aston don’t really have that issue with mercedes.
i’m not that familiar with what the manufacturer/customer team relationship is like.
Hello, so basically if a team doesn’t have an engine supplier they have to go to the manufacturer that supplies the least amount of power units
It was talked about initially when Honda leaving at F1 and they didn’t have things sorted out with red bull. There were talks about that red bull might be forced to take Renault engines again, obviously that didn’t happen.
In regards to the agreement running out in March and essentially the reason why Renault/Alpine are hesitant to re-sign it, it’s just because of the management reshuffle and now the management team want to take things in a different direction way. It could be that they are holding off on resigning because they want more money or the terms of the agreement to be different
it’s not so much that they don’t want another manufacturers name badged onto the engine, because they had agreed to that beforehand it’s more so just that a lot has changed within Renault/Alpine from when they made the initial agreement
However, Andretti, want other parts of Alpins is well they basically want a Haas-Ferrari type deal, with things like, gearbox, engine, suspension, etc. Alpine could be forced by the FIA to supply Andretti with an engine, but they wouldn’t be forced to supply the other parts.

Reviving Nostalgia: The Timeless Allure of Vintage Cars
Tumblr media
In a world dominated by sleek, modern automobiles, vintage cars stand as a testament to a bygone era. These meticulously crafted vehicles evoke a sense of nostalgia, capturing the essence of a time when driving was not just a mode of transportation, but an experience filled with elegance, artistry, and adventure. In this blog, we embark on a journey through the fascinating world of vintage cars, exploring their history, design, and enduring charm.
The Age of Elegance: A Glimpse into History
Vintage cars, typically recognized as those manufactured between the late 19th century and the early 1930s, tell stories of an era characterized by craftsmanship and innovation. These cars witnessed monumental events, from the rise of the industrial revolution to the Roaring Twenties and beyond. Brands like Rolls-Royce, Cadillac, and Ford Model T became iconic symbols of their time, reflecting the societal changes and aspirations of the period.
A Symphony of Design and Engineering
What sets vintage cars apart is not just their historical significance, but their exceptional design and engineering. The craftsmanship invested in these vehicles is unparalleled, with each car meticulously hand-built by skilled artisans. From the sweeping curves of the fenders to the intricate details of the interior upholstery, vintage cars are true works of art.
Mechanically, these vehicles are a testament to innovation. Many featured groundbreaking technologies of their time, such as early versions of automatic transmissions, advanced suspension systems, and powerful engines that marked the dawn of automotive engineering.
Owning a Piece of History
Owning a vintage car is like possessing a piece of living history. Vintage car enthusiasts often spend years meticulously restoring and preserving these vehicles, ensuring that their original charm and character are retained. The restoration process is a labor of love, involving sourcing authentic parts, refurbishing engines, and bringing back the car's original paint and luster. The result is a living testament to the dedication of collectors and their commitment to preserving the legacy of these iconic automobiles.
Taking a Step Back in Time
Driving a vintage car is a unique experience that transports you back to a simpler, more elegant era. The soft purr of the engine, the distinct aroma of aged leather, and the feeling of gliding on narrow tires along scenic routes create an unparalleled connection with the past. Vintage car rallies and shows provide a platform for enthusiasts to showcase their cherished vehicles, allowing onlookers to admire these pieces of rolling history.
The Modern Resurgence of Vintage Appeal
In recent years, vintage cars have experienced a resurgence in popularity. Many people are drawn to the authenticity, uniqueness, and craftsmanship that vintage cars embody. As the world becomes increasingly digitized, the tangible connection to the past that vintage cars provide becomes all the more appealing.
Preserving the Legacy
Preserving and appreciating vintage cars is not just a hobby; it's a passion that bridges generations and cultures. The dedication of collectors, restorers, and enthusiasts ensures that the legacy of these iconic vehicles lives on, captivating the imaginations of those who long for a glimpse into the past.
In a world that's always moving forward, vintage cars remind us of the elegance, sophistication, and artistry that once defined the road. With each gleaming chassis and purring engine, these automobiles weave stories of a time when the journey was just as significant as the destination. Embracing the allure of Vintage cars is not just an appreciation of the past; it's a celebration of the timeless beauty that continues to captivate hearts today.

Top: 1982 Cadillac "Wagon-De-Helle" Bottom: "The Behemoth"
The 1982 Cadillac "Wagon-de-Helle" was a one off custom car made in the early 2000's by car customizer Edward Wright (unrelated to the famous Wright Brothers) out of 3 Cadillac Coupe de Villes purchased from wrecking yards. He built it over the span of 4 years using other parts sourced from junk yards, heavily modifying the suspension, engine, and bodywork to form a 6 door limousine-wagon powered by a Cadillac 425 provided from a 1979 Cadillac Seville, which had been upgraded to produce 700 horsepower. This monstrosity can be seen driving the streets (and occasionally the dirt paths) of Central Texas, beloved (or hated) by Austin's many locals.
Not to be outdone by Edward, rival customizer and junkyard owner William Jones saw what trickery Edward was doing and decided to try and one-up him in 2003. The result was what he called "The Behomoth," a monstrous 10-wheeled juggernaut made from three 3rd generation Cadillac Bazaar Trucks slated for crushing in his junkyard. Its goal was to take things to "the next level" as William has said, featuring a full suit of "luxuries" that he has yet to disclose. To the chagrin of those in Round Rock, Texas, he drives it almost daily to work, holding up traffic wherever he goes.

Got the ‘59 Caddy disassembled so the owner can take these parts to be re-chromed. Couple of rusty bolts but no big surprises and no missing parts. Jumping back over to the ‘55 Cadillac this week to wrap up suspension work, and then we’ll be back on this one. #cadillaclife #59cadillac #landyacht #chrome #tailfins #cadillac #59caddy

The truck on the right is what I call "now you've made a sedan, but worse."
The owner has ruined the utility of the truck bed by covering it; but they haven't regained the security of a sedan's trunk because it's a soft cover that a criminal can get through with a knife. But they're still stuck with a truck that gets truck gas mileage (terrible), has truck aerodynamics (god-awful), requires truck tires (expensive), has a truck suspension (uncomfortably stiff), and requires truck parts (expensive) if it needs repairs or maintenance.
If you're thinking of buying a truck like this, you should ask yourself if a Cadillac or Lincoln sedan would work just as well for your lifestyle.

Tiens! Des idées de cadeaux de Noël?
