Key Elements of the CPD Process
Assessment of Learning Needs:
Self-Assessment: Professionals assess their current skills and knowledge to identify gaps and areas for improvement. This might include reflecting on past experiences, performance reviews, or feedback from peers.
External Assessment: In some fields, assessments might also be influenced by changes in industry standards, regulatory requirements, or technological advancements.
Planning:
Setting Objectives: Professionals set specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals based on their learning needs.
Developing a Learning Plan: This includes selecting appropriate CPD activities, estimating the time commitment, and planning how to integrate these activities into their schedule.
Engagement in Learning Activities:
Formal Education: Enrolling in courses, workshops, seminars, or degree programs relevant to their field.
Informal Learning: Engaging in self-directed learning, such as reading industry journals, online articles, or participating in professional forums.
Work-Based Learning: Gaining new skills through job rotations, mentoring, coaching, or taking on new responsibilities.
Professional Networking: Attending conferences, joining professional associations, and participating in networking events.
Documentation and Evidence:
Professionals maintain a CPD log or portfolio documenting their activities, learning outcomes, and reflections. This often includes certificates of completion, attendance records, or summaries of informal learning activities.
Reflection and Evaluation:
Reflective Practice: Professionals critically reflect on what they have learned, how it applies to their practice, and how it improves their professional competence.
Evaluating Impact: Assessing the impact of CPD activities on their professional practice, including any improvements in performance or service delivery.
Review and Adaptation:
Regular Review: Periodically reviewing the CPD plan to ensure it remains relevant and aligned with career goals and industry developments.
Adapting the Plan: Making necessary adjustments based on new learning needs, feedback, or changes in the professional environment.

Enrol For Superior and Knowledgably Enriched CPD Cosmetic in Melbourne
It is no secret that the cosmetics industry is gaining popularity. The latest topic of conversation is the CPD cosmetic injectable training. More and more individuals are using non-invasive techniques like dermal fillers and neurotoxin injections in the face to achieve their cosmetic goals. As a result, there is an increased need for licenced injectors and medical experts in these specific treatments.
You can also explore a wide range of CPD dental courses. If you are thinking about working in the field and injecting patients, there are numerous advantages to undergoing live, cosmetic injectable training for nurse practitioners as opposed to an online programme.
Enlisting in Cosmetic Courses Has Several Benefits
Experiential Training: The chance for hands-on experience is the key advantage of in-person training. Each of our training courses includes hands-on practice using live models. You may practise all of the techniques and skills you have learnt while attending classes. The teacher will then give your prompt feedback.
Small Number Format: With the student-to-instructor ratio, small group instruction gives students individualised, hands-on instruction. In-person training enables a close-knit learning environment where you may interact directly with the instructors and other students.
Professionals with Meritorious Experience: All of the teachers are experts in their specialities. By taking part in field training, you may interact with experts and learn from them.
Possibilities for networking: The connections you make throughout this course might result in new career openings. Connections are crucial, specifically in the aesthetics industry, and these in-person training sessions are a great opportunity to meet new people who might have an impact on your progress.
Regardless of your level of expertise, training is crucial in the aesthetics industry. Completing an online course vs a practical training program may differ significantly. Visit the top schools that provide cosmetic courses to go one step closer to a rewarding profession.

"You can hear it in the silence" - Sam Carver x Intelligence Officer!Reader
I noticed there's a surprisingly small amount of Sam Carver fanfics out here so this was born!
Reader is an officer from the Intelligence unit, she and Carver have been dating in secret for a couple of months. After a tough call involving both Truck and Intelligence, Carver can't help but demonstrate his love for you.
One robbery in progress, a bomb, and a bunch of civilians hurt. That is not how anyone imagined a Sunday morning to go.
After the mess was contained, two out of four offenders were dead after a shooting with CPD. The other two, however, disappeared among the crowd of civilians. Paramedics were handling the wounded in triage while the firefighters were dealing with the remains of the explosion.
“Y/n?” Voight said, calling your attention to him. “What about the guard you talked with?”
“He seemed nervous Sarge, even scared, and it wasn’t because of the robbery,” you said, checking the information you wrote about the guard. “The story he told, it looked rehearsed to me.”
Voight nodded, “Okay, you talk to him again and see if you can get more info, meanwhile Kev and Adam can search his proprieties so we can try and make a connection—”
“Y/n!” a shout was heard from a distance, directing your attention towards the sound.
Sam’s figure came into view. He was dressed with his coat and helmet, his face carrying a mix of worry and relief. You couldn’t help but leave a small gasp, your face morphing into pure and genuine surprise.
“Carver! I—” you started but the words vanished when he hugged you. Your arms wrapped around him, instinctively hugging him back. The embrace was so strong it lifted you a little off the ground, making you smile.
“Sam,” you said, a smile still on your face. Breaking the hug was hard since he was holding you so tight, but he started to let go when you said his name. Your feet met the ground again.
“I saw you in the middle of the shooting, I thought you were going to be shot!” Carver said, his hands holding yours.
“I'm fine, I ducked in time,” you smiled at him again, trying to soothe his worries. “We all did,” you looked at your team behind you, Sam’s eyes following yours.
He suddenly went quiet, his eyes staring at your intertwined hands. Realization hit him that you two were in public.
You smiled at him sheepishly, arching your eyebrows and holding his hands tighter for reassurance. You knew he was feeling shy, it was so cute the way his eyes shifted back and forth between your eyes and the ground. You were not any different, looking between him and your team. You both sure did not expect your relationship to be out like this, but there was no coming back now.
Your team held both confused and smiley faces. Hailey and Jay were smiling so big you could count every tooth in their mouth. They have been suspecting about your relationship with said firefighter after catching you messaging him during a boring lookout late at night. Another one who had suspicions was Voight, he heard from Mouch one night over dinner at his and Trudy's house that he saw you and Carver talking at Molly's. On the other hand, Adam, Kim, and Kevin looked absolutely shocked. They appeared to be the only ones who missed any signs about this.
“Is everything okay guys?” Stella's voice brought you back to reality. She was more discreet with her reaction than the others, but you could spot a small smile forming in her mouth.
“Of course, Lieutenant,” Carver said, regaining his composure. “I’ll see you later, yeah?” he smiled that smile you love so much. Staring into his blue eyes, you smiled back.
“See you around, Y/n,” Stella said, leaving with Carver following behind.
You nodded with a smile, walking back to your team.
“Don't look at me like that, Adam,” you said pointing a finger at him. Adam was staring at you as if you had grown another head.
“Well forgive my shock, but is that the reason why you rejected all the guys I told you about?”
“Bro, I rejected them because they suck.”
“They do not suck, Y/N, they’re nice guys.”
“Well, would you date them?”
“Enough you two,” Voight said with a ghost of a smile. “Let’s get back to the case.”
After listening to the rest of Voight’s instructions you all left in the direction of the cars.
“Now, I’m your partner, how come I’m one of the last people to know about this?” Kevin said, getting into the passenger seat of your car.
“Y’all need to share when stuff like this happens!” Kevin said through the window when Jay and Hailey passed beside your car to get to their truck.
All you could do now was laugh and get ready for the teasing coming your way in the next few weeks.

New Kid - Jay Halstead
summary: you're new to the unit and catch the eye of a certain handsome detective
warnings: maybe language?
word count: 624
a/n: i'm still very new to the chicago one universe, this is super short and rushed, not proofread and honestly pretty bad but i'm working on some more !
likes & reblogs appreciated !
Detective Y/N Y/L/N, Intelligence CPD
It was your first day with the Intelligence crew and to say you were nervous would be an understatement. They were a well established family already and to be the new kid on the block made you feel like you had to prove yourself worthy of working with them.
As you walked into the district you said a quick hello to Trudy who shot you a faint “good luck” under her breath as you started up the stairs to the gate. You sighed and gave yourself a quick “you got this” to yourself as you scanned your fingerprints and headed up the stairs to where the rest of the unit was sure to be waiting.
Voight was the first person you saw, you felt slightly at ease being as he was the reason you were here in the first place. He heard you coming and turned to greet you, “there she is, how ya doin kid?” he said as he pulled you into a side hug, you chuckled “ready to get started Sarge.”
He brought you over to where the rest of the crew was waiting to see who the new face in the unit was.
“Everyone, this is Detective Y/L/N and she’ll be joining us for the foreseeable future, unless you knuckleheads run her outta here” Voight says scoffing lightly, everyone goes around the room introducing themselves when they reach the last person, a ridiculously handsome man with piercing green eyes stands and comes forward, “I’m Jay Halstead.”
Before anyone could say anything else a call came in about a new case. Voight puts you and Halstead together to watch a suspect, the two of you lock eyes briefly before he rolls his eyes a bit with a smirk, “lets go newbie” you scoff to yourself and mutter “this should be fun.”
As he drove you both made trivial small talk getting to know each other, you noticed very quickly that he was a little bit of a flirt which you knew would be trouble. The two of you sat at your post continuing to talk as things were moving very slow with your suspect.
A few hours go by before Jay decides to ask the big question with a sly smirk on his face, “so Y/L/N you got a boyfriend?” You pause for a minute and throw him a smirk yourself and laugh, “right to the point with the hard hitting questions I see Halstead, but no I am currently unattached” he gives you a nod and you hear him mutter “good to know.”
After sitting on the supposed suspects location with no activity Voight called you both back to the district for the unit to call it a night and to start fresh in the morning with clear heads. When you arrived back at the 21st the gang invited you out to Molly’s to celebrate your first day with them albeit a uneventful one, you agreed.
When you all arrived at the bar, Kim immediately passed a drink to you with a laugh welcoming you to the team. You took a seat next to Jay of course.
Jay turned towards you and slung his arm over the back of your chair, instantly making you flustered, “I know we just met and all but I was wondering if maybe I could take you out sometime newbie” he says with a dorky smile on his face. You turn and lean into him slightly and respond with a giggle as you sip your beer “real smooth Halstead” “Is that a yes?” he counters, you throw your head back and look in his green eyes “yes it is detective.”

I think
“I didn’t know they were weed brownies!” And “I swear, it’s the truth!”
Would be really funny with Chicago Fire if you’d be so kind 🥰🥰🥰
Matt Casey liked to think that every return he made back to Chicago was a breath of fresh air. Not that looking after the boys was difficult and he didn't enjoy it, but a reminder of his old life was often exactly what he needed in his new one. Of course, seeing you was the primary reason he came home, but his 51 family was more than a bonus.
Matt had decided to make for the station before the hotel. There were only a couple hours left of shift and he was ready for the placid atmosphere typical after twenty-two hours already on the job.
“I didn’t know they were weed brownies!"
The bounce in his step waned slightly as he let the door shut behind him. He could tell his sister's voice from a mile away, but the tone of it was one he wasn't used to.
"I swear, it’s the truth. These little kids were selling them, I thought they were sweet kids—they seriously looked like sweet kids."
“I, yeah—" There was a snort of laughter. Sylvie. "We believe you, Y/N.”
"Don’t doubt it, girl!" Stella sounded as enthusiastic as possible, but that same hint of amusement was evident in her voice.
Matt couldn't help his concern, quickening his pace and rounding the engine truck. The ambulance back doors were open, and you were sat at the edge, terror written all over your face. Stella was sat on her haunches in front of you, hands on your knees. Sylvie was on one side, a blood pressure monitor in her hands, and Violet was rummaging through a bag on the other.
Your wide eyes—wide, groggy eyes—met his the moment he made himself visible.
“Matty!” You made to jump up, but the girls stopped you before you could, blurting all kinds about slowing down and blood and heart.
Matt could tell you were on the verge of tears, could see the quivering of your lips and the watering of your already watering eyes. Quickly, he dropped his bag on the floor and rushed across to envelop you in a hug, cupping the back of your head to his chest. "Hey, there," he said. He met Stella's eyes, the captain having stood up, and mouthed a "what happened?" over your head.
Stella mouthed a simple "brownies" back, as though that answered the question perfectly. Luckily, you helped out.
“Matt, I took drugs," you spoke quietly. Matt's frown deepened.
The girls jumped to attention. "Not on purpose!" Sylvie said.
"Not on purpose," Stella confirmed. "Some douche was giving his kids weed brownies to sell outside his garage. Either that or someone got their recipes seriously mixed up. Boden’s sent CPD down there.”
You twirled a lock of your brother's hair around a finger, still clinging to him. “CPD’s gonna beat someone's ass," you said pointedly, "I paid eight dollars for those brownies.”
Violet crossed her arms over her chest. “Hey, Y/N, how many did you eat again?”
“Four.” Your voice was muffled, yiur face buried in Matt's chest, but everyone heard it.
Sylvie. "Rough."
"They were so good," you said.
There was a general silence, something concern probably should have filled, but after a moment the amusement of the situation set in, and smiles broke out.
"Can I assume she's gonna be fine?" Matt asked. He gently pulled away from you and guided you to sit back down on the truck.
Sylvie nodded, crossing her arms. "She's got an elevated heart rate and she'll be loopy for a bit longer but yeah, she'll be okay."
"What if the kids come after me?" You let your head drop against Matt's shoulder.
"What's that, sweetheart?" Matt asked.
"What if the brownie kids come back because I sent the cops on them?"
Sylvie put a fist to her mouth
"That's not gonna happen," Matt assured you, "don't worry."
Stella clapped her hands together after Kylie's voice asking for her echoed throughout the station. "Okay, crazy, I'm gonna take you off duty for the rest of shift, okay?"
You face fell. "Oh, but—can I still stay at the firehouse?"
"Probably best," Stella agreed.
Matt stood up. "Hey, Lieutenant, you need someone to fill in?"
Stella grinned, pointing a finger towards him as she backed out of the room. "Luckily for you, ex-Lieutenant, a spot just opened up. Go get a drink, Y/N, and stay where we can keep an eye on you. Hey, hey, Hermann, can you escort her into the common room? Don't leave her."
Hermann, who'd been passing by with an apple in hand, didn't have much of a choice as Matt passed his sister onto him with a kiss to your hot forehead before running off to change. Hermann took your arm in his when you went to fall.
"The hell's up with you? You sick?"
"I took drugs."
"What?"
