The idea of Karkat being a listener, let alone a good one, is a highly laughable thought. It does wish she was around for their discussions, for seeing Karkat just silent, not bitching, and listening is a rare sight.

Terezi doesn't make a comment on that matter, however. No need to bring him up more than necessary, anyway ...

Many would find Kankri’s long winded ramblings of ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT NONSENSE to be quite insufferable. However, to the Alternian teal blood, they were fascinating ... And rather entertaining. Sometimes, it was insightful. Sometimes, it was fucking hilarious. This guy was a riot, really. Though, in this instance, she found herself in a rather somber topic of conversation.

“Well, that is true,” Terezi would begin to agree thoughtfully. “I have thought that throughout my entire life ... With, a lot. My decisions, be it with my friends or actions, the Alternian Law I used to follow and read up upon ... Everything that even lead me here.”

She blinks slowly behind her glasses as her thoughts grow solemn. “Then, what do YOU do when you find yourself in those scenarios?”

Terezi remained silent for a moment, merely ‘staring’ out ahead of her. Taking a smell of the freshly cut grass, the clean air and clear sky ... Yes, it was very different from Alternia. However, Terezi knew that wasn’t what the jade blood was talking about.

It was ... Interesting to hear Kanaya express this opinion, however. Terezi didn’t think much of the others shared this sentiment, except for her and John ... But, that was merely for the fact they knew the truth of what really happened to them in another time ...

But, Kanaya always seemed rather put together. Wasn’t she happy? Terezi thought she was one of the few actually flourishing. Maybe things were more stressful for her than she thought.

“Yeah, it is,” she’d finally agree as a sigh brushed passed her lips. “It still feels so foreign. Like...” There’s a disconnect. But she thinks that’s for other reasons.

There was an inhale of breath. Forcing herself to sit up straighter. Put on a happy smile.

“We’ll get used to it, though. This is better in the long run, right? After so many sweeps of fighting and all that bullshit ... It’s just weird to finally be able to relax for once. For things to be ... ‘okay’.”

Ah ... The ELUSIVE other Strider.

The pungent scent of orange creamsicle wafted in the air. Tickling her nostrils as the fragrance of licorice and whatever hygienic products he uses sprinkle on top. Terezi knew his presence before he said a word.

She hasn’t had much chance in communicating with the other humans, besides Jake. Not that she didn’t want to, really ... But ... It was merely hard trying to socialize after ... Everything. Things were different. Difficult. The Seer’s memories in her head were in a constant blender, on top of trying to adjust with the new change after the hardships they all faced, her relationship issues ... Yeah, she didn’t have much motivation to try and work up some small talk with the other three, let alone much of anyone else.

Though, she was happy to have this time now, as the other approached her and began with quite the Strider ice breaker. “Thank you. I can say the same! You got a much better sunglasses shape than Dave’s,” she’d agree and point out. Pointy glasses supremacy.

“What was your name again? Dork Strider, right?” she’d ask with her infamous, shark toothed grin. Any awkwardness she may actually be feeling in the moment is expertly masked with her usual facade. One thing can be said with her, despite everything, she really is a troll to the very end.

Terezi lay in the lush grass, ‘looking’ up at the sky as John lay next to her. The both of them just seeming to ‘relish’ in this new life. New world. New timeline.

It was all so fractured in her head. It was difficult to process everything. She felt like she was reborn all over again. All alone. Except, well, for John. She was thankful at the least she still had him. Not that she’d admit that out loud, really.

“These clouds are shit,” Terezi finally broke the silence. Not that she could really smell them from where she was. Or, rather, just not being able to smell them that well. Just some boring vanilla tickling her nose.
