Reporters might listen to Trump and then understandably be reluctant to start typing stories that must feel like spec scripts for The West Wing pieced together by a creative-writing circle: 'The former president, lying about abortion laws, said women murder their own babies in the delivery room. He megalomaniacally claimed that he gets bigger crowds than anyone in history, and compared himself to Martin Luther King Jr. He descended into fantasy by telling a story about surviving a helicopter emergency that never happened with a man who wasn’t there.' Instead, The New York Times ran this headline: “Trump Tries to Wrestle Back Attention at Mar-a-Lago News Conference.” The Washington Post said: “Trump Holds Meandering News Conference, Where He Agrees to Debate Harris.” The British paper The Independent got closer with: “Trump Holds Seemingly Pointless Press Conference Filled With False Claims,” but CNN went with “Trump Attacks Harris and Walz During First News Conference Since Democratic Ticket Was Announced.” All of these headlines are technically true, but they miss the point: The Republican nominee, the man who could return to office and regain the sole authority to use American nuclear weap

Another Work in Progress

Mooncake Maker as default replacement for Fortune Cookies Maker from TS3 World Adventures in Shang Simla, China.
As you know, Fortune Cookies are cookies originated from United States of America, which is not correct to portray cakes/cookies/pastries that are supposedly from China.
Not sure to publish it because it feels not finished yet.
In Buy Mode CAS is alright: High resolution (1024), right texture.
After click finish to exit CAS mode, it reverts to Low resolution (default EA texture is 512) and wrong texture (bad UV-Mapping) for preset 1. Other presets have right texture, but in low resolution.

So far the GeoStates (Full, half, empty states) are working.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!
Tumblr media
Mid-Autumn Festival is one of important events in Chinese calendar.
Falling on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, it's celebrated primarily in East and Southeast Asia and is a time for families to gather to sample autumn harvests, light lanterns and admire what's believed to be the fullest moon of the year.
In 2024, the Mid-Autumn Festival, or the Moon Festival, falls on September 17.
Mid-Autumn Festival became an official celebration in China during the Tang Dynasty (618-907 CE).
It was described as a day for emperors to celebrate the year's harvest by giving offerings to the moon and hosting a great feast.
Today, the Mid-Autumn Festival is an incredibly important family gathering – it's when "People and the moon reunite to form a full circle," as an old saying goes.
Mid-Autumn Festival is shrouded in myth. One of the most beloved – and tragic – pieces of folklore tells the story of how a woman named Chang'e became the moon goddess.
One of the biggest stars of the Mid-Autumn Festival is the Mooncake. The term "Mooncake" was first found in 1274 AD in author Wu Zimu's "Book of Dreams," and the first cookbook on how to prepare mooncakes was published in 1792.
While there are many variations of mooncakes, the most famous is the classic Cantonese version: a soft pastry filled with sweet lotus seed paste and savory salted duck egg yolk.

Keith Edwards at No Lies Detected:
Last Monday morning, I endured the spectacle of MSNBC hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski defending their post-election pilgrimage to Mar-a-Lago, marking their first meeting with Donald Trump in seven years. As they sat there reading from a prepared script, blissfully arrogant and hypocritical, a now-familiar nausea washed over me. It began in late October, when Jeff Bezos — with billions of dollars of business before the federal government — instructed the Washington Post’s publisher to break 36 years of precedent and make no endorsement in the most consequential election of our lives. I felt it again last week when CNN’s Dana Bash bizarrely both-sidesed the somehow unknowable politics of neo-Nazis on the march in Columbus. It was clear to me, as I’m sure it was to you, that Joe and Mika were afraid of what Trump 2.0 would do to them, which Brian Stelter’s CNN later confirmed. (See my YouTube video for my initial reaction).
[...]
Powerful media figures' craven capitulation to government power — before that power is even inaugurated — surely smacks of the preemptive compliance Snyder describes. Since we as Americans have no experience of authoritarian rule, speculating about what comes next is a challenge. To imagine what a returned Trump might do once in power, consider Russia’s experience during Vladimir Putin’s rise:  Four days after Putin’s inauguration as Russia’s president in May 2000, Russian federal tax agents raided the offices of NTV, one of the country’s few independent media outlets. NTV had pitilessly mocked the notoriously thin-skinned Putin; once he got to power, he wasted no time deploying the full force of the Russian federal government against it. Under the guise of financial crimes, NTV’s owner was swiftly arrested, imprisoned, and coerced into selling NTV to a pro-government conglomerate who would replace NTV’s journalists and make it a Kremlin mouthpiece. The following month, Putin summoned Russia’s most powerful business figures to the Kremlin where he made clear their new reality: Stay out of politics, and you all can keep your businesses, your wealth, and your freedom. In one fell swoop, the Russian state had cowed its media elites.
If you’re saying, “Well, that’s Russia and this is the United States,” compare the parallels between our country today and the Russia of 2000. Trump of course is pathetically sensitive to media criticism, and he has repeatedly made plain his intention to continue his weaponization of the federal government against his perceived enemies. Senate Republicans are eager to grant him his loyalist hacks as law enforcement officials (so long as they aren't generationally loathsome accused sexual predators!) who will unleash prosecutions against his enemies. As recently as today, Elon Musk — whose willingness to light money on fire extends from Twitter to Trump-Vance 2024  — has menaced MSNBC with a pro-Trump takeover. Meanwhile, social media and tech moguls fell over themselves to ingratiate themselves with Trump after his victory, having essentially shadowbanned political content prior to it. Trump moreover enters office with advantages Putin did not. He will be the first U.S. president with a media company of his own, which before Trump took a sledgehammer to our norms would have been unthinkable (though it worked out in Italy!). He enjoys the unlimited support of Elon Musk and his wholly owned and radicalized X, as well as of an emerging army of Gen Z podcast bros. Lastly, a rightwing legacy media propaganda machine consisting of Fox News, Newsmax, and OAN stands at the ready. A cinematic universe of Made-in-America state-run media served from your TV to your browser to your phone.

Love your style. Love your responses. Love your clear, concise and reasonable response to things asked. As someone posted, it can get combative in these parts.
IMO ( not that you asked) i think the chemistry between A & T was real and beautiful to see. The residual high that carried them and the film to its heights was cute but life is life and things like that happen.
To quote Mr Pearlman, "it was a beautiful friendship...maybe more than a friendship."
I just don't really believe that it was more than that at this point.
Would it be EPIC if it were true, hell yea! It would be the love story of a generation. Someone needs to write the script for that movie!
Don't get me wrong some of the "evidence" is compelling. Some. A lot of things that are deemed "signals" seem really like things put into a subjective context to fit a specific narrative. In my mind, it has been 8 years and many relationships ago for both of them. I just don't see it. I would be happy to eat my own shoe if it turns out to be true.
I do love the support for Armie here though and it is worth sticking around for. I would like to be here when he does shine again. The fandom deserves a huge win.
Also on another post you were talking about the mechanics of a comeback and you are so spot on .. too much, too soon seems forced...The fact that his name is being mentioned again slowly is the best way. i despise this cancellation shit so much. It leaves no room for some people who may have screwed up, but owned it and deserve a chance at redemption.
I almost panicked when he posted about the Olympics becauseIi can't stand the thought that he might get shit talked to him in the comments.
thxs for reading.
Merci i dunno what to say but can we make fun of this story or what

THE HARRIS-WALZ CAMPAIGN HAS FLIPPED THE SCRIPT
TCinLA

HARRIS HAS FLIPPED THE SCRIPT
Now that we are less than three months away from election day, some consensus is forming in the polls. As a reminder, state-level polling has some variabilities and inconsistencies, but polling today might be better than months ago. All the same challenges still exist, so take it with a grain of salt.
The one big consistency across all polls is voter movement toward Kamala Harris. A wave of battleground state polls shows Harris leading Trump in critical states like Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, Arizona and Nevada, and tied in Georgia.
This week, the Cook Political Report found Harris’ success in closing the gap is driven by her consolidation of the Democratic base, and increased support among independent voters.
In May, in the five-way horserace including third party candidates, just 82% of the voters who supported Biden in 2020 were committed to voting for him this November. Harris is now getting 91% of those voters. Among independent voters, Harris leads Trump 48% to 40% in the 2-way head-to-head. In May, Trump led Biden among independent voters by three points - 41% to 38%.
The script has been flipped.
Even though Harris is the sitting incumbent, she is unburdened by what has been.
56% of battleground state voters say she represents a chance to “turn the page of the Trump/Biden era;” 59% see her as representing a “new generation of leadership.” Even though she may serve as Biden’s vice president, she’s winning Biden-Trump “double haters” by 30 points - 54% to 24%.
Harris’ ability to quickly and decisively win over those double haters is a reminder that the 2020 Biden coalition was more anti-Trump than pro-Biden.
The corporate media is big mad at Vice President Kamala Harris because she isn’t letting them define her before she can define herself to the voters. She’s only been too busy to play obsequious with the media and they are not happy.
The elite corporate media is used to calling the shots, being the ones who choose the candidate who “wins” a debate. They are used to being the gatekeepers and the referees, with all of the power.
But not anymore.
When CNN’s Jim Acosta asked Harris-Walz communications director Michael Tyler when they will commit to a press conference, Tyler said they were crisscrossing the country with rallies and their priority is engaging voters. He said Harris would sit down before the end of the month, but when pressed to commit to this week: "We will commit to directly engage with the voters. They're actually going to decide this election."
The media just got put in their place by the Harris-Walz. The campaign’s priority is speaking directly to the voters, not through an intermediary. And certainly not through a bad intermediary with an agenda who has their thumb on the scale to advance the interests of their owners.
Six days ago, Donald Trump held an hour-long "press conference" in which he lied 162 times - better than two lies a minute.. The media would very much like it if the Democrats would now put on a show. Perform! Entertain! For them. Not for the voters. They don’t care what’s going on in rallies they won’t cover, because the rallies aren’t about them.
The media wants a certain kind of press conference and interview. One they can pick apart and lord over. One that gives them their power back.
But if there is value in a press conference or a moral imperative to hold them, that obligation is two sided. The candidate holds a press conference to submit to a time-honored tradition of being asked questions by the media for the purpose of helping voters get to know the candidate for the greater purpose of democracy.
Today, the legacy media is comprised of the self-centric New York Times, owned by the Sulzberger family’s DNA failure, and the Washington Post, led by a Murdoch-trained executive editor.
Politico is now owned by a far right German tabloid owner who has a decades-long record of bending journalistic ethics for right-wing causes, and asked his executives to “pray for Donald Trump” in 2020.
When Warner Brothers Discovery CEO David Zaslav - who controls CNN - was asked who he supported for president, he wouldn’t say; but he did say that he wanted a president who would allow him to engage in more consolidation by lessening regulations - in other words a president who would do basically the opposite of what President Biden has done.
Much local media is owned by hedge-funds. A huge swath of local TV stations are owned by far right Sinclair Media. Then there’s Faux Snooze, the actual Murdoch owned media destroying this country.
These media only don’t care about democracy, they consider democracy an obstacle for them. So when they behave like they are pro-fascism, believe them.
When Kamala did make herself available for questions from the press gaggle after a campaign rally in Arizona, the first - and only - question was how did she feel about Trump mispronouncing her name.
That kind of shallow stupidity is why she isn’t kowtowing to these otherwise-unemployable morons.
There is no pro-democracy argument for Kamala Harris to do an interview with this media. In fact, there is every reason to suspect that doing it would only hurt the pro-democracy movement.
The script has been flipped, and the corporate media doesn’t understand what happened.
Commenting on Morning Joe today, GOP pollster Frank Luntz said of Republican women in his focus groups who now plan to vote for Kamal Harris, "Harris reminds some men of their first wife. Donald Trump reminds women of their first husband's divorce lawyer.”
In the meantime, “Fat Elvis impersonator” Donald Trump may be getting the old band from 2016 back together to revive the past glory from his first – and only successful – presidential campaign.
Amid reports that Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita - the nominal heads of the 2024 Trump campaign - suspect longtime adviser Kellyanne Conway might be making a play to take over, Trump brought back his 2016 campaign manager Corey Lewandowski today.
Lewandowski was removed from a top post with a pro-Trump super PAC in 2021 after a donor's wife, Trashelle Odom, accused him of making unwanted sexual advances towards her at a Las Vegas charity dinner; he was later charged with a misdemeanor.
Tara Palmeri, senior political correspondent for Puck News, reported today that "Lewandowski told allies over the weekend that he was coming back as a campaign chairman essentially a layer above Wiles and LaCivita. This comes as Trump, superstitious and nostalgic, wants the team that helped him win in 2016 back."
Other Trump aides and allies who are joining the campaign include Tim Murtaugh, communications director for Trump’s 2020 campaign, along with Alex Pfeiffer and Alex Bruesewitz, a pair of top officials with the MAGA Inc. super PAC, whose leader Taylor Budowich already left to join the campaign in a senior capacity.
“As we head into the home stretch of this election, we are continuing to add to our impressive campaign team,” said Trump co-campaign managers Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita in a statement. “Corey Lewandowski, Taylor Budowich, Alex Pfeiffer, Alex Bruesewitz, and Tim Murtaugh are all veterans of prior Trump campaigns and their unmatched experience will help President Trump prosecute the case against Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, the most radical ticket in American history.”
They’re whistling past the graveyard of those who ever believed Donald Trump is not the monster he is.
Vanity Fair's Gabriel Sherman reports many former Trump backers are bewildered by the way he's conducting himself, and they believe it seems like he's trying to deliberately lose the 2024 presidential race. Others, however, believe Trump cannot get over the fact that President Joe Biden dropped out of the race and that he now has to face off against Vice President Kamala Harris.
Trump's allies have had an impossible time warning him against making self-destructive attacks on Harris. "Trump’s advisers have implored him to launch policy attacks on Harris instead of using juvenile nicknames like Laffin Kamala and Kamabla," Sherman writes.
Even longtime Trump confidant Roger Stone is among those who want Trump to change tactics. He told Sherman, “I do think it’s counterproductive to call her stupid.” Trump has rejected his team’s advice. According to the Republican close to the campaign, Trump tells his advisers: 'I know what I’m doing.'"
In the course of yesterday and today, Trump attempted to hold “press conferences” about economic issues, and in both events went off into whining about having to run against Harris and how the 2020 election was stolen from him. He demonstrated his complete lack of political self-awareness by holding a conference about food people can no longer afford to buy at his country club in Bedminster, a location none of the people he claimed he was worried for would ever be able to show up at. During 90 minutes in his fake Rose Garden at Bedminster, America got to watch Trump deteriorate in real-time as he went so far off the rails that he spent 15 minutes ranting about the criminal cases against him at a press conference that was supposed to be about economic issues. These press conference disasters are campaign ads for Kamala Harris.
In the meantime, Trump’s VP running mate, Corporal Six Months In An Air-Conditioned Trailer, has now posted polling negatives that exceed those of Sarah Palin in 2008, posting a net negative 9.3% today.
The good news in all the MAGA nostalgia for a past that never was is that a significant proportion of the MAGA Baby Boomer dolts, dweebs, morons and idiots we had to put up with in high school 60 years ago, who only continued their downward trajectories in all the years since we left them behind, are no longer around to lower the national IQ as they did in 2016 and 2020. I read recently that something around half of the Class of ‘62 are no longer here.

The Unfolding Drama of the 2024 Election: A Reality Show in Real-Time
If you’ve been following the 2024 election season, you’ll know that it’s been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. 🎢 Last week, Kamala Harris sat down for an 18-minute interview on CNN that left many viewers scratching their heads. Was this a genuine attempt to connect with voters, or just another scripted performance?
Kamala Harris: The Pre-Packaged Candidate
From the start, Harris’s interview felt strangely rehearsed. The entire segment was heavily edited, with transitions that made it seem more like a polished production than a raw, real conversation. As someone who’s been involved in content creation for years, I couldn’t help but notice how scripted it all seemed. The questions were solid, but the delivery? Not so much.
Harris was asked to explain some of her past positions, especially on fracking, and why her views have shifted. But the way the interview was packaged made it hard to take her answers seriously. It felt like watching a performance rather than an honest discussion. 🎭
The Circus is Coming to Town
With the Trump and Harris debate scheduled for September 10th and Trump’s sentencing on the 18th, things are about to get even crazier. But here’s where it gets really interesting: rumors are swirling that Harris might be installed as president before Election Day. If that happens, she would become the first Black woman to hold the office, which would be a historic moment. But more importantly, it would give her a significant advantage in the upcoming election, as she would be running for re-election rather than just election.
The Hidden Puppeteers
What’s often missed in the mainstream narrative is the influence of the nameless, faceless leaders who are really pulling the strings. These are not the politicians we see on TV; these are the power players who operate behind the scenes, shaping the course of history while remaining completely anonymous. Their decisions are setting the stage for what could be the biggest conflict of our time—World War III. 🌍
As we approach these critical dates, it’s important to remember that what we see on the surface is only part of the story. The real drama is happening behind closed doors, where the decisions that will shape our future are being made by people we’ve never even heard of.
The Final Countdown
As we move closer to November, the stakes couldn’t be higher. This is not just another election—it’s a pivotal moment in history. The debates, the potential for a sudden change in leadership, and the looming threat of global conflict are all part of a larger narrative that’s playing out before our eyes.
So, what’s next? Honestly, who knows? But one thing’s for sure: this election season is going to be one for the history books. Stay tuned, stay informed, and don’t let the drama distract you from what really matters. 💡

ProPublica:
In the wake of President Joe Biden’s poor debate performance, his opponents and most major media organizations have pointed out that he has done few interviews that give the public an opportunity to hear him speak without a script or teleprompters.
So much has been made of this limited access that the impressions from Special Counsel Robert K. Hur about his five hours of interviews with the president on Oct. 8 and 9 drove months of coverage. The prosecutor said Biden had “diminished faculties in advancing age” and called him a “well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.” Biden angrily dismissed these assertions, which Vice President Kamala Harris called “politically motivated.” House Republicans on Monday sued Attorney General Merrick B. Garland for audio recordings of the interview as the White House asserts executive privilege to deny their release. ProPublica obtained a rare interview with Biden on Sept. 29, nine days before the Hur interviews began. We released the video, which was assembled from footage shot by five cameras, on Oct. 1. We edited out less than a minute of crosstalk and exchanges with the camera people, as is customary in such interviews.
Conducting the interview was veteran journalist and former CNN White House correspondent John Harwood, who requested it and then worked with ProPublica to film and produce it.
ProPublica recently released the full, unedited interview by John Harwood with Joe Biden that was conducted on September 29th, 2023.

This should absolutely alarm people. John Fetterman did this to Biden's critics, too:
"Other Democrats that are now vocalizing and saying these incredibly unhelpful kind of things—why? What's your goal? Are you trying to diminish the president? Are you trying to strengthen Trump?" Fetterman told CNN on Tuesday. "It's much easier and much less effort to just write a check for Trump."
I'm not aware of Biden himself doing this on a separate occassion, but Biden's administration has also likened proPalestinian protesters to the Nazis in Charlottesville.
This is a very dangerous tactic.
By labeling people who criticize Biden as MAGA extremists or Nazis, they seek to silence them or discredit them while maintaining the illusion that they support freedom of speech.

Several cast members of the 20-year-old supernatural TV drama “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” are reuniting to slay again in a new Audible original, “Slayers: A Buffyverse Story.”
Original “Buffy” actors James Marsters, Charisma Carpenter, Anthony Head, Juliet Landau, Emma Caulfield Ford, Amber Benson, James Charles Leary and Danny Strong will star in the scripted audio original, with newcomer Laya DeLeon Hayes joining the cast, according to Audible.
Picking up a decade after the final 2003 episode of “Buffy,” the audio series “brings fans a fresh story and a new world, filled with horror, heart, humor, and surprises at every turn,” and follows Spike (Marsters) as he goes “deep undercover in Los Angeles, convincing the forces of darkness that he’s back to his evil ways.”
“While he attempts to track down a watcher for his eager new protégé (DeLeon Hayes), their paths collide with the veteran Slayer of a parallel reality where Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar) never existed…a reality where Cordelia Chase (Carpenter) is the one-and-only Slayer,” according to the official synopsis.
Gellar, Alyson Hannigan, Eliza Dushku and David Boreanaz, who also starred in the original “Buffy” series, do not appear to be part of the “Slayers” project.
