 ●     Direct admission is a feasible and good option for the candidates who are interested in pursuing an MBA for obtaining knowledge for their business.
●     It is beneficial for candidates who are already working in corporate offices and want to enhance their skills for promotions.
 ●     It is better for the students who do not want to spend time on the preparation of the entrance exam.
●     It is beneficial for the students who do not want to travel to other cities let alone countries for MBA as even top universities locally offer this option.
●     Direct MBA admission offered by most of the private MBA Colleges and private universities in India has an easy selection option.
Key points to consider before applying for direct admission.
 ●     Chalk out all the colleges that offer direct admission with details regarding their curriculum, infrastructure, fees, faculty and placement quality.
●     Check out the affiliation of the university.
●     It is advisable to look for their websites, have conversations from ex-students.
●     Visit the university to check out the detail
 Direct MBA Admission Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for direct MBA admission differ from entrance-based admissions.
 ●     Eligibility criteria for direct MBA admission require students to have at least 65%+ marks at the UG level.
●     Students should have at least 50% marks at UG level for management quota seats in private MBA colleges across various states.
Direct MBA Admission without CAT Score
The fact that the CAT score was a necessity is the talk of the past. Today, top universities in Delhi NCR are offering management courses without the CAT score. They don’t consider your CAT score but some universities do not offer management without an entrance exam.
If you apply for the entrance exam conducted by the college but do not appear for the CAT exam, you can still apply in one of the best institutes and universities.
Direct MBA Admission through Management quota
Direct MBA admission is also available through management quota or university/institute level quota seats. The Head of the department has to invite applications for quota seats through websites and newspapers. Many colleges have different percentages of quota and hence the candidates seeking direct admission should inquire directly or lookout for this information regularly on the official websites.
Every detail regarding the management quota seats and its eligibility will be clarified once you apply directly to the institute.
Direct MBA admission to Foreign National candidates, Non-Resident Indian, and Person of Indian Origin
The seats available for NRI/Foreign National/Foreign Student/ PIO/Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries have certain requirements.
●     Firstly, they should have required educational qualification of graduation as specified by respective universities.
 ●     Secondly,  if they have not appeared in any entrance exam for MBA admission, they may appear in entrance exams conducted by the institute.
Other options for direct MBA Admission
●     Several universities conduct their own test whole year round and you can apply for it any time after application.
●     Even the Top management schools and universities offer direct MBA admission without an entrance exam to fill their seat quota.
●     Candidates looking for direct MBA admission should send the query to the colleges directly rather than seeking help from admission agents and consultants.

How SNAP entrance exam is different from other MBA entrance exams
Tumblr media
SNAP is amongst the large pool of MBA entrance exams that students take every year. They fill various MBA registration forms in the hope of scoring a good percentile in any particular exam, which will help in securing their admission in a good B-school. If you’re one such MBA aspirant, it is vital that you don’t become the jack of all trades but master of none. You must concentrate your efforts on one single exam, and carry the belief that you can excel in it. SNAP can be one such exam.
Here’s how the SNAP exam is different from other MBA entrance exams.
 1. Elimination of the GK section
First and foremost, here’s the big news - the GK section no longer exists in the SNAP test 2019. As a result, the revised paper pattern stands like this -
a. SNAP consists of 110 questions. The number of normal questions - 105. The number of special questions - 5. Number of questions in each section
● General English - 34
● Analytical and Logical Reasoning - 36
● Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency - 40
b. The exam is of 150 marks. Weightage of each section -
● General English - 51 marks.
● Analytical and Logical Reasoning - 54 marks.
● Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency - 45 marks
c. Weightage of each question in every section -
● General English - 1.5 marks
● Analytical and Logical Reasoning - 1.5 marks
● Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency - 1 mark for a normal question, two marks for the special question.
d. SNAP consists of negative marking. Each wrong answer attracts 25% negative marks for Normal Questions and Special Questions. The test duration is 120 mins, i.e., 2 hours.
Based on the above points, it is clear that SNAP’s paper pattern has become very similar to other popular exams such as CAT and CMAT. However, SNAP’s difficulty level gives students from different academic backgrounds an equal opportunity to excel in this exam. It is a unique feature that separates SNAP from the rest.
2. Admission in top colleges
Symbiosis International (Deemed University) (SIU) boasts some of the best B-schools in India, who only accept SNAP’s score as one of their Symbiosis admission 2019 criteria. Let’s take a look at some of these colleges -
● Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) - Established in 1978, SIBM is one of SIU’s oldest colleges, and also remains as the flagship brand of Symbiosis. The B-school gained recognition as one of the best in India for its two year MBA programme, where you can specialize in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
● Symbiosis Centre for Management & Human Resource Development, Pune (SCMHRD) - Established in 1993, SCMHRD’s MBA programme is one of the most prestigious programmes in India. The B-school specializes in producing quality professionals in fields such as HR, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Infrastructure Development and Management, and Business Analytics.
● Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology (SCIT, Pune) - SCIT is one of the premier B-schools in India for programmes such as MBA (Information Technology Business Management) and MBA (Data Science and Data Analytics). The curriculum of this B-School distills a kind of knowledge that blends theory with practical know-how.
● Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management (SIOM, Nashik) - One of the finest institutes in India, SIOM is only dedicated to operations. In this field, the B-school aims to provide world-class education and prepare students in this competitive market scenario.
3. Opportunity to study niche courses
With a rising interest amongst people to pursue their passions, the number of career options in every domain has expanded manifold. An MBA is no different, with several students opting for niche courses to further their career ambitions. However, very few B-schools in India offer MBA courses beyond traditional disciplines. This is where SNAP comes into the picture.
By scoring the requisite percentile in SNAP, you can secure your admission in one of Symbiosis University’s B-schools who offer these niche MBA courses. Let’s take a look at a few of them to give a proper idea -
● Symbiosis Institute of International Business (SIIB, Pune) - Established in 1992, SIIB has grown to be one of the highly acclaimed schools in the country. It is known for its excellent academic foundation with a strong focus in developing domain leaders in International Business, Agri-business Management, and Energy & Environment. As a result, SIIB has a strong track record of excellent placements.
● Symbiosis School of Sports Sciences (SSSS, Pune) - Symbiosis School of Sports Sciences is a highly sought after B-School for its MBA in Sports Management programme. In this programme, students can specialize in one out of the following three verticals - Event Management, Technology, and Sports Marketing.
● Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS, Pune) - SIHS offers an MBA in Hospital & Healthcare Management. The institute aims to develop world-class healthcare management professionals with in-depth knowledge and expertise suited to various organizations in the field of healthcare.
