Inspired by the Heartstopper Mini-Comic: The Haircut, aged-up Nick and Charlie navigate pandemic life. I hope to make this a series of vignettes, but I wrote this first chapter as a stand-alone. Come on Charlie, just get here Nick begged internally, raising a hand to scrub his face. … Irrational thoughts that he’d been walling off for hours began to break through. What if Charlie’s flight had been re-routed? Or not taken off at all? Or what if the flight had arrived at SFO but for some reason, Charlie wasn’t on it? What if the United States sealed its borders and Nick became trapped in a different country from the most important person in the world? … For the first time since he and Charlie moved to San Francisco eight months ago, Nick wondered if it was a terrible mistake.

not-onesided-but-fucked-up soulwhole save me. soul whos constantly yapping about whole and how wonderful they are while heart and mind concernedly discuss that maybe he should figure out an alternative because whole hasnt been there in months. soul that has crying breakdowns at night because he cannot shake his loyalty to a god that will not save him and it hurts. whole who feels so terribly bad for hurting soul this much but he cannot seem to give soul the right kind of affection, and soul keeps trying to tell him that literally anything would be nice and he doesn't have to worry about doing it wrong but whole just cant get it through his head through a thick layer of self deprecation. soul that grows more and more reverent of whole the longer stretches of time hes gone and whole always comes back all sorts of guilty and apologizes and showers him in awkward affection and soul sees it as a reward for how hard he tried all this time. soul that is constantly trying so hard to "please" whole but its all in vain because how could whole see? he cant see how hard soul is trying. everything he does is out of pity. but that doesnt mean this isnt real. souls god is not a perfect one but is definitely not as hopeless as the others think. heart and mind keep trying to tell him that whole is not someone he should believe in. theyre lying, they have to be. theyre lying. they just cant see. this post isnt even about soulwhole anymore is it
