How much does it cost to take the CFA course?

The CFA course fee is in USD. On multiplying with the exchange rate one gets the converted INR fee.

For Level 1, a candidate will have to pay a one-time enrollment fee of 450$ apart from the registration fee for the CFA course. Level 2 and Level 3 candidates do not have to pay the enrollment fee again. Also if a candidate fails and has to retake the Level 1 exam, they don’t have to pay the enrollment fee again.

For each level, the Early-bird Registration fee is 700$ and 1000$ for the Standard Registration fee and 1450$ is the Late Registration fee. This makes a total of 2550$ for the one-time enrollment fee and discounted early registration fee if a student passes all three levels in the first attempt and around 4800$ for late Registration. If a student fails to clear at one attempt, re-attempt will cost the same 700$/ 1000$/1450$ re- exam registration fee.

CFA Costs involved for a course

Fees - 1150$ for L1 and 700$ for L2 and L3 up to 1900$ for L1 and 1450$ for L2 and L3.

Reexam - Just in case one has to reappear then 700$ / 1000$ / 1450$ extra for each attempt

Exam Day- 1K to 5K (can be higher, if the candidate is from another city where the exam is not held and has to make travel and stay arrangements since these exams are held only in major cities)

Approved calculators - Only approved CFA calculators are allowed for the examinations

Passport renewal Fee - Passport is used as identification at the CFA exam site, if it hasn’t been renewed, it has to be, before the exam.

There is an additional expense for Coaching and Materials. The cost of Ebooks is included in the Exam Registration fee. CFA Institute in 2008, also began to publish its own guide, however, with the low pass percentage, students continue to enroll into CFA online courses or CFA certification courses in coaching centers to increase their chances of clearing the exam.
