Evidence to my theory that the "brides" of Dracula are actually most likely the daughters of Dracula, even though that sounds like a weird goth secret society. There is no reason for them to be physically similar if they are just his brides/vampires he has made.

Also, for those who don't know, i believe that last bit, about Jonathan knowing the blonde one, is a reference to the short story "Dracula's guest," which was published posthumously as a short story, but is believed to have been the first chapter of the novel which was cut.

In said story, Jonathan sees the grave of Countess Dolingen of Gratz who is described very similarly to the blonde of the 3 women in Dracula's castle. It's a little unclear if this is meant to be the same woman, as the countess in the short story is incinerated by a bolt of lightning.

Y'ALL. The "their gentle breasts were sad" bit is NOT an example of "she titted boobily down the stairs."

It's METONYMY. For one, it's "breasts" plural because he specifically said "ladies" plural, as in the breast of multiple ladies.

Two, breast in this case is shorthand for chest, which is used metaphorically to refer to the heart i.e. the soul or the emotional part of the person. In short, he's saying their souls metaphorically ached for the men who were off at war.

I swear to God, all the posts I've seen about "Bram stoker needs to go to horny jail" like. YES, he does. But not for this. This is just Tumblr's infamous lack of reading comprehension. For the love of God, take an English class
