"In regard to myth, although there does not exist a female equivalent of the well-known loves between a god and a young mortal (e.g., Apollo and Hyacinthus), a motif of interest appears in the story of Callisto: according to one variation, attested by scholia on Hesiod and Aratos, Zeus adopts the guise of Artemis in order to engage in a sexual relationship with the goddess’s preferred companion." This first surviving mention that Zeus disguised himself as Artemis in order to approach Kallisto is (quite upsettingly) from a lost comedy by Amphis (4th C. BC), where the butt of the joke is that a naive Kallisto accuses Artemis of having gotten her pregnant:

"But as Amphis, writer of comedies, says, Zeus, assuming the form of Artemis, followed the girl as if to aid her in hunting, and embraced her when out of sight of the rest. Questioned by Artemis as to the reason for her swollen form, she replied that it was the goddess' fault, and because of this reply, Artemis changed her into the shape we mentioned above [bear]." (Amphis fr. 47 Kock, as quoted in Hyginus Astronomica 2.1.2)

Whether Zeus' disguise was invented by Amphis for "comedic effect" or was part of an earlier tradition is a matter of conjecture, but it is certainly well attested later on and by roman times it had become the most popular variant.

~Artistic sources for Kallisto's transformation are very sparse, which I think is kind of a pity considering how hauntingly beautiful and awesome surviving images are (in order):

Spirit, previously mopey and irate and repeatedly reminding Callisto she is so not a morning person, now looks bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. She kisses Callisto, runs her hands gently down her naked body.

SPIRIT CAN'T STOP SMILING. She feels so wanted, so cared for, so thought of. Part of her wants it to be so overwhelming that she sabotages it. Part of her says, shut the fuck up. I deserve this I want this I am so fucking here for this.

"What else did you do to it?" she asks teasingly. She's not necessarily referring to magic — though Callisto might take it that way — she's just being difficult and pushy. Even during her best moments, what would be other people's lowest parts comes out..

"Oh, well. I found the lighter at a vintage store and I thought you'd like it. And then I tinkered with it myself," A thumb back towards the workshop. "to make sure it was in working order and stuff."

The charm had been easy enough to lay on it as well - something that Spirit could rely on if she needed to.

I namely post Smoon (aka the daycare attendent, Sun and Moon FNAF) and Au's, be it drawings, writing, random thoughts and sneak peaks! And of course fanart (be it canon fnaf (or my takes on charas) orrrrr fanart for other lovely creators daycare Au's!)

she stole my name i hate her /j no no , again, i repeat it a lot, but i really like her !! :DD you guys arent gonna find a character i hate, i like em all

shes confiding in what she knows for sure, compliant, a sheep in a herd

she doesnt truly believe in the cause/whats guiding her, but she hasn't known anything else but to follow follow follow (this is the same with IO)

now that Triton has appeared though, it seems shes breaking out of that shell and becoming more independent. she realizes that no one can push her around and shes the master of herself, Ganymede is not a stable leader, Europa is not a stable leader, and im sure she'll use that as a point to fully break free from that "servant" position shes been in.

let the goth girl be independent thats what being goths all about
